The hotel was very suitable for our purpose. Convenient to the French quarter, clean, with attentive staff. Another review commented on slow elevators and we agree. If you are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you. The elevators make a lot of noise. However, the location is great and the staff provided outstanding customer service. The room was average but clean.

Went there because it was close to the French quarter and to be honest I wish we would have stayed another night. Great staff, very professional and helpful. our view wasn't the best but who cares, we were where the action goes on... STAY HERE!!!

This hotel was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. I was in NOLA for a conference, and wanted to stay somewhere in the French Quarter that was within walking distance of everything. I chose this hotel simply because of the price. However, it was such a good experience that I have already booked 2 rooms for a trip to NOLA in a few months with family. […] The hotel staff was very nice and friendly, and the hotel was quite clean and comfortable. Parking is available in their on-site parking garage that takes up the first few floors of the hotel. Bellhops are readily available to help you unload your car when you first arrive. The hotel was recently converted from a Holiday Inn, and the management has plans to do a complete renovation of the entire hotel in the coming months. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. As far as its location, it's perfect! It is within easy walking distance of Bourbon Street, the Riverwalk, the Aquarium, the Insectarium, and basically everything else that you would want to see in NOLA. The only problem is that there are not enough elevators and they are kind of slow, but there's nothing that can be done about that. I am looking forward to my next stay at this hotel. The hotel was nice and comfortable. It was close to the trolley and close to everything we wanted to see in New Orleans. The indoor pool was very warm which is a big plus for me. The in room coffee was very good surprisingly because usually it's not that great. The only problem is the guy from hotels.com told me they were paying for the parking but […] when I got there they had no idea. I was charged $60 for parking for two nights. Hotels.com did give me a credit and I was okay with it since I do plan on traveling within the year, but if they offer it make sure you get an email saying it or you will have to pay. The hotel was well located for visiting the French Quarter. The concierge (Eddie) was extremely helpful. We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. Terence, at the front desk, was very helpful too.

The hotel was rundown. My colleagues said their bathrooms were dirty. Worst was the very slow wifi. The hotel acted like nothing was wrong though all three of us complained about the speed.

We enjoyed our stay but wasn't crazy about the surroungings right outside the hotel. I really liked the security for the building and having to use the room key to get the elevator to work.

Very nice hotel right in the French Quarter 2 blocks from Bourbon St. If there was a downside to this hotel, it was the "surcharge" for parking and no refrigerator in the room.

Location is good. Only complaint is that all of the carpet needs to come out of the hotel completely. Carpet looks old. Beds are comfortable though room cleaned often during my stay.

If your looking for something close to everything this ones for you but don't be picky about the neighborhood. Stepping out the front door and facing a dilapidated store across the street didn't give me that warm, fuzzy feeling. Room was clean and beds were comfy. When I checked in I parked in the garage. The front desk asked if I was using their garage. I said yes. They gave me a pass for in out privileges and said nothing more. When I checked out I asked for a receipt and they said no need there are no new charges since I prepaid. In their lobby they have a machine so you can pay for parking which we did, in […] cash, when we left. We handed the parking attendent the receipt for payment and she asked for the parking pass from the hotel as well. I later found that the hotel charged me a 2nd time on my credit card. When I called the hotel I got the run around and after leaving a couple messages and talking to several people was told I had to provide the cash receipt (which I had to give to the parking attendent to exit the garage) in order to receive a refund. Such a shame that their inability to communicate and lack of customer service has left me with no choice but to give them a bad rating. Baca selanjutnya

This hotel was an excellent quality-price deal. We stayed there twice, first room (on the 11th floor) did the job, second room (9th floor) was more modern looking. Staff were very warm and welcoming, super helpful. I would invest on improving the pool though, a sundeck would be nice as well.

The hotel is located on Royal street just a block off of Bourbon and Canal. The room is average for a New Orleans hotel. It is clean and comfortable. The pool is indoor and very small. There are a few exercise machines but also very small. The thing I like least was the elevators were very slow. I would stay here again.

Everything about the hotel was great: location, cleanliness, the staff & concierge services, all great. A negative though, is that when you arrive they charge you $30 per night for parking and they charge you up front. So if you are staying 5 nights, your credit card gets charged $150 right as soon as you check-in. Also, they charge your card $50 for […] 'incidentals' like long distance or movie rentals. They claim to return the $50 after your stay, but I have not received mine yet. So, in all, the hotwl was a great one, but you'd do just as well booking a room at the Crowne Plaza Astor one block over, without all the incidental and parking fees. Baca selanjutnya

We checked in at 2am after driving all the way from Houston and were given a room on the tenth floor. We went alllll the way to the room (small hotel but also small, slow elevators) to the room and it had two doubles instead of the kind I reserved. Went alllll the way down to get it corrected and we didn't even get an apology. It's in a prime location […] near Bourbon, but the actual street it affronts is less popular and a bit more shady. The staff was friendly, and when I asked to stay in a penthouse suite at no additional charge, they abliged. The hotel provided parking (@ $30/day) which was really convenient. We could come and go as we pleased without having to worry about finding a parking space. What I liked most was that we were only one block away from Bourbon Street which allowed […] us to party when we wanted to, but also allowed us to have peace and quiet when we wanted it. Booked the hotel before reading reviews on Hotels.com. This was a holiday weekend and most hotels were very pricey. This was reasonable rate. The location of this hotel can't be beat. One block off Bourbon and many areas of the French Quarter are an easy walk. At first glance, the room seemed clean. The bathroom is small - not much counter space for […] your toiletries. Upon further inspection the bathroom was not as clean as originally thought - the fixtures were coated in scale. We had housekeeping service daily - other reviews mentioned not having it every day. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. Upon arrival, they upgraded us to a larger room with a rollout bed with no extra charge! We called several times over our four days to ask for extra towels and whatnot, and service was prompt and efficient. The rooms aren't fancy, but they're definitely nice enough for a leisurely stay with friends or family, […] and most importantly, clean. My biggest complaint was that you could hear the elevator whirring all night. Not terribly annoying, but definitely noticeable. This was probably because our room was quite close to the elevator shaft. The location is definitely the best part. Bourbon St is a block away and the French Quarter was our neighborhood. The Exercise room needed wet wipes and the air conditioning either did not work or was not turned on. There also needed to be a TV remote control in the room. In the bathroom, calking was needed around the tub focett and shower head.

Just know that if you want to have a roll away bed in a double room, there will be a twenty dollar upgrade. Overall decent stay in a great location for the price

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The location made an easy walk to restaurants, attractions, and the trolley on Canal St. The bathroom floor tiles need replacing, however. Although clean, the floor looked dirty.

The only thing that is good about this place is its location. It's name is Wyndham, but nothing at the hotel was Wyndham like. Everything down from the carpet to the smell of the room was old, and poor quality. Not recommended.

Although the location of the hotel is convenient, the hotel itself definitely was a disappointment. The hotel lobby had an overpowering smell of disinfectant. Our room had no closet doors, one square of toilet tissue, (no extra) and no soap. The hotel needs an entire upgrade. There are many other hotels in this area. We will never stay here again.

Perfect for our purposes. They restocked out water for free daily and ordered cabs for us. Couldn't have asked for a better location.

I was in New Orleans for a business conference and needed to stay close (walking distance) to where the conference was being held. We paid over $200 per room, per night, I'm assuming because of location. This hotel is obviously older, as with most of the hotels in the French Quarter. However, this one has not been updated in years (carpet, wallpaper, […] curtains, etc. in the rooms). We had 2 rooms and both rooms weren't very clean. I wore my flip flops in the room because the carpet didn't look clean. The bathrooms were very tiny with no vanity room whatsoever. The bath/shower combo had quite a bit of mold in the corners and on the tile. You could tell someone tried to fix something in the bathroom because there was so much extra caulking everywhere; it makes you wonder what the heck happened. There was also a hole (2.5" x 2.5") in the tile wall next to the bathtub by the toilet. The towels were stained and thin. The television did not have the NBC station. We stayed for 3 nights and on the 2nd day, the maids didn't even clean our room. This was so disappointing especially when you've been gone all day...somehow coming back to a clean room is a mini "pick me up" ... but nope not here and not at 10:30 PM. On a positive note, the staff (front desk) people were friendly. I travel quite a bit for business and I personally prefer to stay at the Wyndham hotels; however, next time I'm in New Orleans and need to stay in the French Quarter, I won't be staying here. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and got keys to our rom quickly and without hassle. The bellman was helpful in getting us to the airport on time. The location of the hotel was perfect.

The hotel was in a great location. Was able to check in early (8an). The only bad thing about using the parking at the hotel was the cost ($30) and I had 2 cars in their lot.
