The Omni Parker House hotel is a grand old hotel. As others have noted it is slightly tired around the edges, but not seriously so. It provided most things I look for in a hotel. The staff were invariably helpful and provided a qood quality of service. Their were several options available for food onsite, with many other options available within easy […] walking distance (and the subway quite closeby). The in-room safe fits a laptop computer. Again, as noted by others, the rooms are small. For one person, this did not matter much as the room was well appointed, with several accessible power points, a good sized desk and adequate bathroom. Free wifi is available in the lobby, or by joining the hotel club, which is free. All together, I was entirely satisfied with my stay at this hotel and thought it provided good value for money. "Good overall"
The stay was pleasant overall. I felt like being on the Titanic upon walking in. The only complaint was this maintenance issue in the bathroom. Every time the guy next door used the rest room or did something, there would be this huge vibration and the shower fixtures would rattle very loudly. The first day this happened in the morning, I didn't know […] what it was. Later that day, a letter was slipped under the door apologizing for an inadvertent fire alarm going off, so I thought that was the issue. Then the next morning at around 8 it happened again. I had maintenance come up. Although the problem had stopped, I recorded the sound on my phone and showed him, and they said they'd fix it. Then the next day it happened again. "Great Location & Classy Hotel"
Location is incredible - in walking distance to many historical sites and dining/shopping spots. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. One aspect that was disappointing: The upstairs bar closed at midnight and we were asked to leave rather than enjoying our drinks until we're done - I had expected better for a hotel of this class.
