Overall, friendly staff (of one), humble breakfast offering. Great value. If you're willing to trade off amenities for a clean and inexpensive room, this is for you.
"A disaster."
When we arrived at hotel, there were men walking around the hotel and hotel parking lot drinking beer and sitting on their cars. Men were hanging out of their second floor rooms with beer bottles in hand. Very seedy environment. Although we checked into hotel, we decided to not use the room and returned the keys to the hotel within 15 minutes of our […] arrival and left even though we had paid. The door was hard to open and the bathroom door did not close completely but the manger was very nice and friendly. best of all there were no unwanted friends in the bed. Our contractors stayed at this hotel and they were very pleased with everything.

This hotel offered excellent service for the price I paid. The building is old and looks it, and at least the room I was in offers only a shower, no tub. "Very Good Hotel"
I read the reviews on this hotel before I came to town and I was really leary about staying here. I waiting a few days before and then got the room. When I got there the staff was very friendly and when I got up to the room it was clean and cool. The shower was a little small but the sheets were clean, the room was vacuumed and didn't have any type […] of odor to it. We Were unable to get our 7 year old child to sleep until well after 11 pm due to a band that was practiceing in the area behind our hotel.
"Mediocre Experience"
The attendant was not accessible when needed after arriving very late to motel on the road trip. The air conditioning was not functioning properly on an 80 degree night making it hard to sleep. Since you changed our hotel to a more expensive hotel Candlewood Suites I have no idea how travel lodge was! We were told they had storm damage but it was amazing.. That hotel was packed the whole weekend and where their storm damage was must have been a BIG secret!! I will sleep in my truck before I stay here again. The room was never swept, I looked at the same debris on the floor all week. There was blood on my bathroom and entry doors. The toilet was disgusting, and there was mold everywhere in the bathroom. The breakfast was a joke, offering coffee and no cups. The staff barely speaks any english if at all. "No major complaints"
I stayed at this location for a bowling event and I was surprised at how cheap I got the room, considering where I needed to go was less than 4 miles. I was promptly greeted and was given an upgrade from a queen size to a king size. The room was spacious and the hotel was near restaurants, shopping, etc since it was right off of the main road. "Great for the price"
This hotel was perfect for the price. I wasn't planning to be in the hotel a ton as I was playing in a racquetball. It was clean, safe, free Internet and the staff was very friendly and accomodating.

"Last resort only"
Rooms were stinky and gross. The clientele was sketchy. We only stayed there because the entire city was sold out.

"Travelodge Terre Haute - close to Union Hosp & ISU"
But the neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired. Would not recommend for anyone traveling alone. Close to several restaurants. Passably friendly staff. Extremely loud neighbors all night - but room was clean (shower was questionable). If I have to go back, I'll stay somewhere else before looking here again.

For the price, not the end of the world. This motel is old and rather beat up, but each room had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and a good TV and AC. I've been in many motels at 3 time the price that didn't have these. Since all we did was sleep there, the rest wasn't too important. "Travel Lodge in Terre Haute"
It was nice except the toilet bowel was extremely nasty & the bedding hadn't been changed. I called the manager & he quickly brought me clean linen for the bed. I cleaned the toilet myself. I used my own towels.

Service is not that great, but ok if you are looking for an inexpensive hotel. It is very close to Indiana State Univ, the mall, and restaurants.

Downtown and 4 blocks from Indiana University. On main drag with plenty of good resturants and gas. Older motel, clean well kept and friendly staff.

"decent for what it is"
The hotel's a bit older, but my room was renovated and clean. Bathrooms were older and the shower could have been cleaner, but overall, i've paid more for less. Hotel is on a busy street, so can be loud.

We stayed there to attend an event at the University, which was a few blocks away. The room and decor was older, but acceptable. We would stay there again.

My biggest complaint is that the room I was in had just a shower stall, no bath tub. I left the curtain open and reached out to get assorted toiletries from the sink ledge due to a lack of shelves. Other than that, for what you pay, it's perfectly passable and about what one would expect. Had a small balcony, which was a nice surprise. The rooms are always clean, and the beds comfortable. I have yet to ask for a non smoking room, and get a room that has obviously been a smokers room in the very recent past. Thanks for a great stay.

If you keep in mind what you paid, very reasonable, then this is an ok place to stay. The neighborhood isn't the best and the traffic noise is enough to keep you up, but the sheets are clean and so is the rest of the room. Bring your own pillows if you want something soft.

I stayed at this hotel in late spring, and again this summer. I was not disappointed. I found the staff friendly, and my room clean and comfortable. I plan to stay whenever I am in the area.

There is nothing special about this hotel; however, it is a great value. The staff was extremely friendly. I appreciated that there is a computer with high speed internet in the lobby. If you are like me and require a fluffy pillow, I would recommend bringing your own, or asking for extras upon arrival.

Doors were painted shut, wall paper peeling off the bathroom wall, chairs falling apart, and on the last night the ceiling of one of the bathrooms (we had 3 rooms) started to sag in and drip from water running above. The rooms were clean, but I wouldn't stay there again.
