Swissotel Merchant Court - Singapura

I travel pretty much full time. And simply put this is my favorite hotel in the world. It's not the biggest, it's not the fanciest but it feels like home. The people actually seem to care of that you have an excellent stay.

We stayed here for 4 days post cruise holiday. The location was perfect with many things in easy walking distance. Staff were very friendly. Room was clean and spacious. Generally very pleased but charging guests S$15 a day for wifi access I found annoying in today's world. Fortunately easily avoided though by using a free service in the adjoining shopping mall.

It's not just about how old, or clean, big or small, or good-value a hotel is, you must also look at how close it is to where you want to be, and whether all of its facilities and benefits will be of use. We think the Swissotel Clarkes Quay is probably, overall, amongst the best in Singapore. Will definitely be back again.

Beautiful Hotel with First Class Service. We opted for a room upgrade with a balcony overlooking the river at Clarke Key. It was a giant room with its own corridor, enormous bathroom and a great view. It is perfectly positioned with an adjoining Shopping Mall, an MRT Station nearby and a leisurely waly to Chinatown..... Excellent Choice

We had a wonderful family holiday staying at this hotel. It had a great pool for the kids and the buffet restaurant was wonderful. The location of the hotel is fantastic, walking distance to most sightseeing areas around Singapore.

The hotel is stretegically located on the clarkequay. Ambience is good. Room service is excellant.

Having stayed at the Swissotel Merchant Court previously, I was again looking forward to my stay - the hotel is in a great location. Upon arrival very late at night and following unpacking my case, I used the bathroom only to find the toilet had been used by someone else and not flushed. I then wondered whether the room had been cleaned following a […] late checkout perhaps? Mentioning this to staff the following morning, they did not seem to care. Two days later I received a patronising letter from the Duty Manager, who also did not care. Not a very good impression from a highly rated and respected hotel. We had two rooms, a double for my wife and I, and a twin for our two kids. While the rooms weren't nearby as requested, they were on the same floor, and were both quite spacious. We didn't use the hotel for eating, with many venues available in Clarke Quay and nearby Boat Quay, or a quick trip by cab to hawker venues. The hotel is comfortable...the pool area is a bit small... service and staff were excellent.... the hotel lacks the wow appeal and the " i want to stay here" charisma... prices are very dear but thats what hotels do

The overall experience was good. However, the annual electrical maintenance notice was not personally told to us upon our check-in was quite a let-down. We were taken aback when the power suddenly went off.

Nice hotel at good location and easy to access to MRT within 5min walking distance. Situated opposite Clarke Quay, next to Central shopping mall and 1 train ride from Chinatown and Dhoby Ghout. You can get best of both world especially for families travelling. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Only drawback cant extend check out time to 1pm.

We highly recommend this hotel. We have stayed in Singapore many times and this is our hotel of choice. we have stayed at this hotel on 4 occasions and it is always excellent. The location is ideal for a big choice of eating and for travelling around Singapore. The service at Swissotel Mercant Court was excellent! We arrived into SIngapore at 7am and were checked into our room without any problem. As it was our wedding anniversary, we were provided with a bottle of wine, chocolates and a beautiful mousse cake!! Geat location with Clarke Quay and shopping centre across the road. MRT also across the road. $2.30 from Changi and around 45 mins. Ask for pool view side of hotel or Quay view otherwise get a building view only. We were there for an anniversary and they gave us complimentary wine and chocs! Also got very early checkin - no fuss

Great Hotel in a central location, just metres from Clarke Quay. The upgrade to include access to execuitive suite, with full breakfasts, snacks all day and drinks is very good value. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

We arrived 5 hours early and were surprised to be allowed into our room. It was immaculate and upkept to that standard every single day. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Great location to many restaurants and very convenient to MRT which we used extensively. Also next door to a shopping centre with lots of food options. We had a wonderful time during our stay. The Executive club was excellent. The room was exceptionally clean although a little cramped but comfortable. Loved the Nespresso machine. The staff were extremely helpful at all times with a smile on their face.

It's nothing special. Clean, a workspace, quiet. Good workout facilities. But, in comparison to other swissotel's I would say it's on the low end for this chain.

We stayed 2 nights. The location is superb with numerous eateries along Clarke Quay and Clarke Quay MRT is within spitting distance.. The service of the staff is exceptional, they offered us shower facilities in their health centre and a complimentary welcome drink in the restaurant when we arrived well before check-in time and also showers after check-out […] (12 noon) as our flight departed after 9pm. In fact, meeting our needs seemed to be no problem to them. Our room was on the executive floor and extremely comfortable with little touches like the bed turn down service and toblerone chocolates that makes guests feel special. Fairly impersonal big city hotel. Picked for central position. Always disproportionately annoying in this day and age that they make a charge for wi-fi.
