Loved the location, room layout, and staff friendliness. The walls were thin, and so I could hear the hallway noise pretty easily. Though at times the room facing the street was a little noisy a pair of earplugs took care of that. The hotel is in a wonderfully central area with easy access to public transportation. I would certainly stay here again if ever in Berlin.

This hotel was conveniently located: walking distance to train station, metro and bus stops. We were able to see the major sites of Berlin using public transportation. Tourist Information was just across the street. The room was fine. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. We would stay here again when visiting Berlin.

We were very satisfied with this hotel. We are from the USA and were pleasantly surprised with the size of both the hotel room and bathroom. The front desk staff were also very helpful. We found it to be very convenient to get around the city, because the hotel is located a block from a couple train stations and the 100/200 bus routes.

We had a superb stay at the hotel. Excellent service, tasty breakfast, nice room, fantastic location. We have already booked room at this hotel once again in may 2013.

The location is superb but the fixtures, fittings and decor of this hotel let it down. If the owners invested some money in upgrading the place, they could charge 50% more and it would be worth every penny.

Very friendly & helpful staff! We had 3 rooms all a little different & very clean. Super location and lovely neighborhoods. Some outstanding restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute walk.

This was our 3rd stay here in Berlin. We had a superior room this time and it was great! Nice bathroom with marble countertop and towel heater. Large room; this time we had a quiet courtyard view. Don't expect a modern hotel however it's price is affordable, location is convenient in term of transportation (10 mins to Berlin Hbf, 12-14 mins to Brandenburg Gate). Staffs are helpful, room size is fine, heating is fine, beddings are comfortable! It's quite clean though a bit old but overall this is a good place to stay in Berlin.

Amazing stay. Every staff member I worked with was helpful, sincere, courteous, and above all friendly. I slept great, the bathrooms were remodeled, and extremely clean.

My husband & I stayed in a superior room. It was a large room on the corner of Ku'Damm & Joachimstaler Strasse. There was a nice sitting area, the bed was on a platform 2 steps up. I was a little bit concerned at some of the reviews before going but I have say I loved my stay at this hotel. First the negatives, it does have a few steps to climb in most a reas of the hotel so not really disabled friendly, they still used traditional keys for the room doors not really a negative but worth a mention, no air conditioning, not really […] a problem for me in October but I can imagine the summer months being unbearable. Now the positives, the hotel staff were really helpful and friendly, the room although dated was very clean and I had the luxury of having a suite with separate living room bedroom and bathroom off a reception area, the breakfast was excellent and reasonable at 12.5 Euros baked beans would have made it perfect. The location is absolutely perfect with excellent bus and underground stations within 100m. All in all I would recommend this hotel for a great stay in Berlin Baca selanjutnya

I loved this hotel! Very nice and clean. The room was cool in an old fashioned way, luckily it was chilly while I was there so the no AC in the room wasn't an issue. Hotel staff was very good. The hotel bar was nice after a long day of exploring. And the surrounding area was great, lots of cool shops, restaurants, and cool local stuff. I thought the staff were rude. They stairs tip get to the lobby were ridiculous. There parking was so far away. The hotel smelled like smoke. I enjoyed how close it was to the zoo and shopping and restaurants. No breakfast with price of the room. I would not recommend this hotel.

Azimut was our first hotel of European vacation. When we walked into our room we were completely disappointed. It looked nothing like the pictures. Old, out dated, cramped. The location made up for the accomodations. Very close to two U-Bahn stops. Worth the stay if you just need a home base and don't intend to relax much in your room.

This hotel is exactly where it describes--in the center of Berlin, right in Mitte, in the heart of the city, next to all attractions like Tiergarten, the Zoo, several u-bahn and s-bahn stations, Victory column, Brandenburg Gate, etc, all in walking distance. We ended up with a double room on the fifth floor. The elevator is tiny and only goes up to the 4th floor(a warning for those with tons of luggage or disabilities). The room was large and very accommodating, featuring a small living room and a bedroom. Our view was nice and the bathroom was clean and performed its duty well. The cleaning service are excellent, except once I left my underwear drying over the shower curtain and when I got back, it seemed that someone had unfolded it and hung it over a rack. Not sure how I feel about it...whether perverse or highly dedicated staff, haha. Overall, amazing hotel! Excellent location near to Zoo bus and rail stations, and to Ku'dam shops and restaurants. Service abrupt and no bar facilities during our stay. Did not have breakfast as part of the deal but plenty of choice nearby. Room 450 had been refurbished with new bathroom.

stayed 3 nights in mid of february, in the single room. The room was a bit tired but very very clean. thebed was comfort. Free wifi was a nice surprise. Stumbled upon this hotel by accident in passing one day. Needed a hotel to stay while my husband was hospitalized unexpectedly during our vacation. Booked through Expedia for 3 nights; ended up staying for 6 nights. Room is large by European standards; beautiful bathroom; mini fridge; desk; HD TV; our room had balcony; free Wi-Fi; breakfast NOT included. […] Front desk very accommodating; computer in lobby for guest use with printer attached. 1.5 blocks from Zoo train/bus station; half a block from the Ku'damm; grocery store 1 block away. We got a VERY cheap rate and thus we did not go into this thinking luxury resort...And we were right, but mostly happy with what we did get. We got an older room you keep hearing about in reviews (I asked for a newer room, the kid at the desk said it was a newer room, but it wasn't) It wasn't all that bad, to be honest. The rugs were old, the furnature […] was scratched up, but it was VERY clean, and we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The bed was very very firm, be prepared for that! Also the windows do open, you just need to understand european windows. Handle vertical, end down = Locked. Handle horizontal end at L or R = Open like french doors. Handle vertical, end up = Open only at top, if you pull it will prop open only at the top hinge. We got the back of the hotel, our window looking at other windows, but it was so much quieter than having a view it was worth it. The water takes a long time to heat up but once it is hot, it is HOT. Pressure was awesome too. This hotel is perfect for people using public transportation. Less than 2 blocks away from Zoo Stn. Bike rentals @ Zoo...just fantastic. 1 wifi connex per device, so ask for as many as you will need at check in. The breakfast was too steep for our budget, we just waited till we were at the train station. I would not reccomend this place for business travel or if you have a car. Excellant location within blocks of major bus lines, underground and railroad station. Older but very well maintained hotel. The day manager Chris, could not be more helpful and had a great sense of humor. Like most Berlin hotels, no a/c but ask to borrow a fan. Located on high traffic street so ask for a courtside room..very quite.
