Incidentals are a bit high at this hotel. The rates were fairly good, but to have to pay for internet in your room? And parking is $28/day??? Really???

I ended up staying both at the Marriott and the Hyatt next door. Both were great, but I liked my room at the Marriott better.

Stay at this place when i don't want to stay on my business partners yacht in the Marina. Perfect location! The beds and pillows are so comfy... I even ordered 4 pillows for myself!

The hotel is situated in the absolute best location for restaurants , shopping and entertainment. The only thing we missed was that the hotel does not have a spa bc we were in the mood for a massage. Had a great time. The room we had was at the end of the north tower, with a balcony overlooking the pool area and a great view of the marina and bridge to Coronada. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful in the hotel. We did choose to eat a Roys and was disappointed in how noisy it was. The food was good but for the price have had much better. Everything was great for our family stay. Accommodating service throughout. Received large corner room with discount rate. Was glad on upper floor as trains going most of night and would have been annoying if lower down.

This hotel was very comfortable. The most comfortable bed I ever had!! It was in a great location, walking distance to the Gas Lamp District and the Marlina. Once we parked the car (at $27.00/day) we never used it again. Great harbor views from room. This is the 3rd time we''ve stayed here!! Loved it!

This hotel is always going to be busy as it is close to a lot of major attractions, and commands a beautiful view of the harbor. My only complaint is to be warned the walls are paper thin. We heard some barnyard animal noises if you know what I mean in the room next door. For the dad of two young kids that is a little uncomfortable explaining. More than expected. I myself world traveller, staying at best hotels around world. This Marriott is more than i expected! Beautiful in every way. Amazing location, marina, gaslamp quarter right next to it. Amazing gym! Wonderful staffs! Wonderful place for anybody!

This is a wonderful place to stay in San Diego. I've been there twice and have nothing to say about the hotel or staff. The staff is always pleasant, professional and willing to help.

Overall this hotel is centrally located in the heart of downtown San Diego which made it convenient to walk to restaurants and entertainment. A key feature as well is that it is across the street from the city trolley so it makes for ease in travelling around to nearby areas for shopping and tourist areas such as Little Italy and the malls. The restaurant […] is OK, but the service was a little slow. We spent New Years Evening in the hotel restaurant and tried the 6 course tasting menu. Presentation and taste were not bad. Unfortunately, my boyfriend fell sick shortly after and spent the evening vomitting. He only had 4 beers that night. We can't say for certain if it was food poisoning so we didn't complain. We have stayed at the Hilton and Manchester Hyatt in the past. The Marriott by far exceeded our expectations. The staff were excellent. Room was fantastic on the 25th floor over looking the harbor. We would definitely stay at this property again.

The desk agent who initially checked us in put us in the wrong room without the bay view & balcony we had reserved but the correction was made and we were moved to the appropriate room. After that, everything was superb.

Everything was good except the parking. They require you to deposit $75 for a very expensive $26 overnight parking fee. I don't understand why the deposit. Parking should also be free for someone staying in the hotel. TV remote did not work either.

This hotel was excellent! My room was beautiful, the staff was very accomodating, and the location was simply outstanding. The food was excellent in the restaurants, and the grounds were beautifully kept with clean and inviting pools. I enjoyed my stay--the only minor issue had to do with construction on the bottom floor of my tower. It blocked access […] to the pool area, and I had to go out through the main lobby and the other tower to get there--not that comfortable walking through the main lobby in my bathing suit and cover up.
