During my stay my room information was given out to a person not listed on the reservation, and without my consent. I called & left the Asst GM 2 voicemails. Upon my third phone call I contacted Customer Service who asked the GM to call me. The following day the Asst GM returned my call & lectured me about how his staff is well trained and that rules […] & standards are in place prohibiting this. I then responded that I understand but my call was to inform him that these rules were violated during my stay. He then proceeded to describe the competency of his staff which I felt was his way of saying he does not believe and/or care about my experience. The conversation continued in a rude and condescending tone & after I got off the phone I called Customer Service again. They emailed the Courtyard that the Asst GM was not to call me back, unless it was to apologize, and that GM was to call me. When the GM called I explained what happened during my stay and told him that I was initially not looking for compensation, that I wanted to inform them of the issue so they could address the problem however now I would like an apology from the Asst GM. I never received this apology. It concerns me that mgmt did not respond to this in a more urgent manner. As a woman with a haunting past I feel strongly about the privacy rights of hotel guests & it would pain me to hear about a guest less fortunate than me who is attacked by a demon from her past as a result of such negligence. The property is a little tired and the lobby is being refurbished. the room was fine. The bathroom is small but otherwise the room was fine. the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I arrived early and had no problem checking in two hours before the posted check-in time. I would stay there again without reservation.

Older hotel but everything worked and it was clean. The $10 breakfast was worse than most free hotel breakfasts I get everywhere else. I wont stay here again, but only because there are much better options for the same or less money in Austin.

The rooms are much smaller than a typical Courtyard Marriott. The hotel felt beat down.

We had a wonferful stay! Great room, super friendly staff, and the indoor pool next door was awesome! I even forgot a razor and they not only had obe, they brought it and shaving cream to my room! A+

I've stayed here several times the last few months and each time it has been a wonderful hotel. Very clean and nice comfortable rooms. The hotel staff are always friendly and helpful! I highly recommend giving this place a try!!

No complaints! We felt at home the moment we got there, loved the staff and the location was close to everything for our Texas Relay weekend stay!

At all the hotels I have stayed lately, except for this one, breakfast is included. I didn't ask because I thought it was a given. Apparently not. I'll ask next time.

The hotel has agreat location, the staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I would recommend it.

The hotel was nice enough, staff was great. Was not our first choice but was nicest, closest location to downtown Austin. I would stay again, though.

This hotel was very clean, nice and comfortable. The hotel staff were always friendly and happy to help in anyway. Our only complaint was the A/C in the room. It didn't really cool our room down and the temperature outside was in the 50's. Our room seemed to stay very hot. The temp always showed to be in mid to high 70's even though it was set on 68. […] This was the only problem we had with hotel. Very comfy and quiet room. A bit tough to find in the spaghetti of Austin freeways, but VERY convenient once you've figured it out (I got a GPS). I really liked the 24-hour "shop", with frozen entrees & ice cream, beer & wine and sundries. A must for late-night working! Good hotel for business and visiting UT.

The hotel is under renovation but the hotel did give complementary breakfast and wifi to make up for the fact. (Normally would cost for each of these items) We did enjoy it was a hotel (safety) because the surrounding area was not as nice. The hotel elevators took 10 minutes to get one (slow elevators) which was a little annoying. The room was clean, […] comfortable, and good tv selection. The name on this Courtyard to Marriott Austin-University Area is deceiving. It is a good 3 miles from the university and a $14-15 taxi ride to downtown. We thought if it was in the close vicinity of the university it would be close to downtown, but instead was 3 miles further. Unless you have a car it is a nowhere place to be stuck at.

I must say the overall service was great. The people at the front desk took care of our every need. The only down fall was the continental breakfast. It wasn't in anyway free. You had to pay $10 for the buffet and honestly non of the food was very enjoyable to eat. But other than that, is a great place to stay

The customer service was incredible we did have to change rooms due to a problem with the first room on cleanliness but they moved us to a nice room that was clean and bent over backwards to accommodate us and make it an easy transition to another room.

I have stayed at this property in the past and I must say that the rooms are starting to show their age. Paint was peeling above the shower on the bathroom ceiling and the towels were paper thin. Was also disappointed that there was not a microwave or mini fridge in the room. Other than that, the room was okay, worth what we paid. Clean, Good Bed, just limited space to walk between end of bed and dresser with TV on it. Breakfast was good, price was fair.

We had a comfortable stay here. This place is visited by business travelers as well as families. The staff was very courteous and responsive. We liked the hot breakfast, as well as the small convenience store located in the hotel.
