All in all a nice place to stay with friendly staff. I forgot my toothbrush and they did not have extras, which was too bad. Other than that, a good experience.

Elevators were not working well. One of two elevators was non functional the entire 3 night stay. The valet service was slow and sloppy despite the $22 plus tax per day parking fee. The last day the entire front entry drive and valet area was torn up as part of a renovation project. Spent two nights while in town working. It was my first time staying at the Courtyard and I was very pleased. The room was very clean. The workspace was the best I've had. I had several pieces of electronics to charge at night and the room had the most outlets and most easily accessible outlets I have seen in a room. All the staff were extremely friendly […] and went out of their way to help during my entire stay even when returning to the hotel late at night. Very convenient for visiting downtown Nasville. Free shuttle , Parking at the Hotel and Easy access to Hgh way made things easy.

excellent service from the staff- very friendly and informative!! shuttle runs downtown- but better get a cab back because it stops running at 1045 pm!!nice clean, comfortable room- only drawback is NO FRIDGE- otherwise a good value this close to downtown.

The hotel staff, went over and above, to please the guests, every, single, one of them, we came into contact with. If we had any needs, they were met. The room is layed out well, and the bed is very comfortable. We were a little disappointed in the upkeep, however. The toilet leaked, the first night we were there, which we did not report, and you had […] to jiggle the handle, to get it to stop running, again, we did not report that to the staff. However, we did report that HBO was not working, apparently, for the whole hotel. It was not corrected before we left. The maintenace staff, did address the issue, looked at the TV, and gave us a new remote, but HBO did not come back on. I think the hotel is planning a renovation soon, one, which is badly needed. My husband and I have stayed here a couple times and we always enjoy it. The rooms are clean and updated and the staff is always friendly. Great location.

Common area carpets and furniture should have been replaced years ago. Elevator floors and control panel were filthy. Very disappointed not what I expect from Marriott especiallyat the rates charged for this property. Hotel is slated for a remodel but there is no excuse for the lack of cleanliness.

I come to this hotel at least twice a year my daugther attends Fisk University down the street from the hotel and we come to this hotel twice a year and stay. If this hotel starts serving hot cookies that will be an extra good thing.

The hotel is conveniently located - lots of restaurants within walking distance. Although there is shuttle service, it is not always jump in and go. However, the shuttle driver was extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great tips. Must go to the Loveless Cafe if you have a car. The Courtyard By Marriott Vanderbilt-West End is in a great location within walking distance of almost anything you could want or need near the Vanderbilt campus. The hotel itself has the look and feel of an older, well used hotel so don't expect new and shiny. It was what we expected for the great rate we got.

Our stay was good, as expected, but what I really appreciated was the way the front desk helped me out. I was surprising my husband for Valentine's Day by getting us a reservation at the hotel across the street from where we would be having dinner. We were in Nashvile to visit a relative in the hospital. Our hotel was located very close by which made it convenient to go back and forth. I wanted to take the bed home with me! It was extremely comfortable. All the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. I would definitely stay there again.

The front circle driveway is crowded and cars can easily get into a traffic jam. Parking seems to be a problem. The heater/air-conditioning unit in my room was loud. It needs to be updated.

The hotel is older, and is in the condition expected for an economically priced place (clean but towels aren't plush, for example) but I truly got Ritz Carleton service. I recently stayed at a five star resort at another chain, and they could learn customer service from this Courtyard Marriott. Bravo! I will stay here again.

Perfect Nashville location, can't beat it! Front desk personel were friendly and courteous. Not a fan of the room itself. Had a wet smell. No refridgerator or microwave, which is a bit of a disappointment. But considering we were rarely in the room, it was not a huge problem (just could not bring back left overs). Shower was old and Mildew in grout lines. Needs updating. Noise from the street traffic was horrible. Didn't get a good night's rest. Would never stay here again. Go down the street and stay at the Hampton, it's much quieter. Also had to pay $13.00 to park. Should have been included.

Overall, I thought this hotel was pretty average. The location, however, was great for my needs. The breakfast buffet was very good, but a little pricey. The hotel staff were very friendly.

We have stayed at this Courtyard a number of times when visiting family in Nashville. The location is convenient for us and we always know the room will be clean and our stay hassle free. Great props that they had free valet parking on this visit. Made it even nicer.

Very friendly staff greeted us at desk. The room felt clean-glad there was no germ catching comforter on the bed. 2 problems that were fixed immediately. Since they were totally booked on a Sat night, the check in time on Sunday was late however that was understandable. Breakfast was delicious.

Everything was very good about this hotel except for the windows, which had the stains from built up condensation inside the thermal panes. Other than this, everything was great. Nice, thoughful staff.

During a hard rainstorm with high winds, something landed on my back windshield and broke it into thousands of pieces. After helping me back into a tight parking place in the parking garage, one of the hotel employees got online and helped me to locate a glass replacement company to make arrangements for early the next morning. I have had similar experiences […] during other stays with help locating a phone charger and room accommodations. We go for a girl's weekend every year and like to stay in this area. It is close to downtown without being downtown. We love to eat at MidTown Cafe and Noshville--both of which are adjacent to the hotel. Valet parking is secure and service is fast. Our room was delightful and comfortable with all the expected amenities.

Shuttle service was very convienient to downtown attractions. Parkiing was a little steep but we only stayed one day.

WE HAD REQUESTED A SMALL REFRIGERATOR AND MICROWAVE, WE WERE TOLD THAT NONE WERE AVAILABLE. A REFRGERATOR WAS LOCATED AND IT SMELLED AND THE ONLY MICROWAVE THEY HAD WAS BURNED UP. DUE TO SURGERY WE HAD TO EXTEND OUR STAY FOR AN ADDITIONAL THREE MORE NIGHTS , HOTEL STAFF WAS UNABLE TO OPERATE THE COMPUTER AS EACH DAY THEY COULD NOT FIND OUR REQUEST.

The room were overpriced, it was extremely noisy outdoors (we were on 7th floor I believe), and we could hear bar hoppers past 2am as if they were just outside the room. Our tub was clogged as well but someone from maintenance took care of it promptly.
