"Perfect location"
This Quality Inn had the perfect location for me. Fast food and restaurants were close by; room was very comfortable, wifi worked great; breakfast was warm with nice variety and best of all, the employees were very friendly and personable. This hotel is the best value for Wisconsin rapids. We stayed a total if 3 nights. The staff was very nice. It is an older building so it does need a little updating but it was very clean and comfortable. There is mo elevator but staff moved us to the first floor due to mobility issues. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Beds were comfy. Pool and spa were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. We hadn't expected a hot breakfast, and were pleasantly surprised. "Avoid at all costs!"
I made this reservation through hotels.com. I missed my flight and could not get to the motel on the reserved night, but did get there the next. They would not honor the already paid for booking, so I had to pay for an additional night. The Internet service did not work. When someone came up from the front desk, she tried telling me my IE wasn't working. […] It never works without an Internet connection. The bed was sagged in the middle and rather than two standard size pillows, our beds had four throw pillow size pillows. The walls were so thin that we could not only hear the people talking in the next room, we actually heard the sound of their suitcase zippers! The room was large, clean and comfortable. The wall mount heater worked well and was quiet enough. WIFI worked well in room. Two slight distractions were the quality of the walls in the stairwells (extremely sloppy construction) and the very small breakfast area. Definitely an older hotel, nothing fancy, but the rooms are large, the walls are cinderblock and the area is quiet. Very clean and well maintained. Didn't hear anything while I was asleep.
