Radisson Blu Hotel, Nice - Nice

It was a very nice stay. The hotel room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast at the restaurant was awesome. Really delicious. The pool area, although was closed it had a dream view to the Cote D'azur ocean. A real dream!!!! No complains. Great stuff.I would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Nice is lovely. Our room overlooked the Promenade des Anglais and we walked into central and then old Nice nearly every day. Buses and taxis are easy to get if you don't like the walk. The staff at the hotel were polite and friendly, although the bar prices were silly - pretty much the same as in any hotel of this quality, though.

Hotel has a private beach,but what a shame,they are charging EUR 15 for daily entree for hotel clients. The price they charge for people who are not Radisson clients is EUR 18. Thus, the value of being Radisson customer is only EUR 3. They are so opportunistic.

The hotel itself was very clean and staff very friendly and efficient, however, the major problem is that it is miles from the centre of Nice and although there's a shuttle bus the last one is at 11.30pm. Should you be unable to get a taxi, as we were one night, it's a long way to walk, approximately 3-4 kms, in an area which becomes a little more secluded […] the further out of town you get and you have to pass various 'ladies of the night' and their clients!! As Always Radisson Blu hotels are of a high standard - for a vacation it was a little out of town being a 45 minute walk to restaurants and shopping - however the hotel did provide a shuttle bus which was not always available due to the number of people wanting to use the service.

Largest pool I've found in Nice. Great terrace if you upgrade to sea view room. A little way out of town centre, but there is a free shuttle bus, or you could stroll down the promenade des anglais if you're not in a rush.

Nice hotel if you are not willing to pay to stay in the 5* hotels and you dont mind paying a considerable amount more than you need to for extras at a 4* hotel. We were lucky to visit during a non-peak period, at least the sunbeds on the roof top terrace pool were free (usually 18euro a day), but the private beach sun beds were still 18 euros a day. […] A bit disappointing if you are a sun-lover. Customer service of the staff really let the hotel down, it was in particular one member who was extremely rude on several occasions, they seem to have not training everyone in the act of being helpful. We were told there were no night-time snacks, and no help was given to supply us with anything. But as I said this was one member of staff in particular so i dont want to be too harsh. Otherwise the stay was great, even though it is a 40min walk to the Old Town they provide a free shuttle. View from rooftop was gorgeous, easy access to bus. But "chili" room had water damage with bubbled paint/cracked ceiling. No good restaurants/cafe nearby, and the hotel restaurant did not have sufficient room for guests. We had to sit out on patio in damp cold then when 25mph winds kicked up the staff didn't offer alternative seating. So paid alot for […] buffet and didn't get to eat much. However, it is outrageous to charge hotel residents for sun loungers by the pool and for towels and sunloungers on the hotel's private beach. Loved, loved, loved this hotel. The staff were very helpful and very friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped. Also, I loved the fitness centre, it had quite a few pieces do cardio equipment and different sorts of weights. I wish I had of stayed longer.

If you want to stay in this hotel ...stay for the view because that is what you are paying for. But apart from that...the service is good in the hotel. Monaco is only 30 minutes from this location and if you are a driver in foreign countries and who enjoys to do so...then I encourage you to do that. Otherwise they have trips from the hotel that you […] can arrange to take you to Nice old and new town, Monaco, Cannes and the other French Rivieras...all around 50 to 65 euros per person or more depending on where you want to go and most of them are half day trips. Definitely take in the sights from the hotels rooftop as that is breathtaking by day and by night. Apart from that... The hotel is in a great location. The rooftop restaurant, bar and pool have a great view. The private beach is well worth the cost of 18 Euro a day for a chair and towel. Terrible staff for the cars. Took them almost 25 minutes to find my car key and bring my car. This can happen at any hotel, but a first for me when the bell boy stressfully raises his voice and says "if you are not satisfied, you can fill in a complaint form"!!! Everything was fine - just a little too far from old town center - a 45-minute walk, but it's a pretty walk along the water. There's a free shuttle every hour to take you to the old town. The staff was very friendly.

We spent five nights at the Radisson Blu in Nice and could not fault it. The staff were very helpful and efficient. We had no problem using the swimming pool as mentioned in earlier reviews. There is a notice saying that hotel guests are not charged to use the pool or for towels. However, I would imagine in the summer it would get very crowded. The […] hotel is some way from the town and even though they provide a courtesy bus, this finishes quite early so you either need to walk home or use a taxi. There are night buses but we never used these. Taxis are really expensive, we only used one and were charged 32 Euros for a trip no more than six miles; we were happy to pay this as we were round the other side of the harbour and it was late but you wouldn't want to do this too often. Really everything physically was in great condition and it was perfectly located. However, service was pretty terrible at the pool bar and everything was way, way overpriced. Ideal business hotel but not so good when it comes to a family short break; the prices on the menu were over the top. Limited lunch menu, very little in way of salad, snacks or pasta etc and being vegetarian there was a limited range on the menu. The beach, all pebble, shelves rapidly and is quite unsafe for small children and water not that clean. I knew it was going to be expensive the weekend of the Grand Prix but this hotel did really know how to milk it. Bar prices were higher than the 5 star hotels in the centre of town. This was a very good choice for an overnight stay before a morning flight from Nice Airport. We had part of an afternoon and the evening, so we were able to enjoy the promenade a bit. We didn't have the energy, but I had the impression that getting to the old town/ downtown area would be easy by bus along the Promenade. The hotel is fairly close to […] the airport but is right on the promenade and sea, unlike most of the hotels near the airport that are a bit further from the water. We found everything to be great. They replaced a dead light bulb in the room fairly quickly and, since we didn't feel like dining more formally, we had a burger at the bar (before 6:30) and it did the trick quite nicely. They even had some nice tabletop books on the area that we perused while eating. All staff were friendly and helpful with information on getting to the airport, etc. The only downside I can think for travellers is that there didn't seem to be many good restaurant options nearby as near as we could tell walking a few blocks to the east towards old town. Staff were helpful, facilities were lovely - but a shame you have to pay extra to use sunbeds by pool or beach! Our favourite experience was the bike ride (the hotel hires out the bikes) since you can cycle along the sea front for miles. Location is quiet and you do bneed the hotel shuttle bus to get to / from town unless you fancy a 40minute walk.

We stayed at the Radisson for 4 days after staying at the Boscolo Exedra for four days as well. The Radisson is nice because it is right on the Promenade hoever, it is not in the Center of town. The hotel, however, provides a very convenient shuttle to and from the centre of town which was great, quick and at no cost to us. I was not happy that they […] charged 9 Euro per chair, towel etc. to lay by the pool and the drinks are very expensive. The Pina Colada was 18 Euro which is $25 american dollars (at the time) - quite a rip off. The beach is across the street and again you end up paying the equivalent of $27 American Dollars per chair. They don't have a long stretch of the beach so if you are not there early, you end up sitting in one of the bck rows and don't even have a view of the beach itself but of the head of the person in front of you. The Hotel itself is very nce, rooms are nice, very clean, the service was great from everyone except by the pool one server charged us for chair service altho we did not use it or sign for it - so be careful with that. One more thing - altho we requested a double/king bed, what they give you is really two small beds attached so there is a split down the middle - not a big deal to me but it may be to others. The location of the Hotel is not central to the main city of Nice but the very prompt, clean, regular ( a.m. and evenings only ) and 15 minute journey into ther city was good. We stayed in 5 different hotels during our 14 day visit to France and Spain this August. The Radisson Blu in Nice, France was "gross". The odor was unpleasant; like sewer in the hallways; the mold, the lifting tile in the bathroom floors, but all the hotels were sold out and we had to stay here. Would I do it again; NO way. Our choice could not be better - the hotel is right on the sea and beach and on the most prominent and fun street in the city - Promenade des Anglais. The beauty of the sea, matched with the street hustle and bustle, at the same time away from the real crowd - makes it really a great choice. The hotel is surrounded by majestic old and some new buildings, […] great neighborhood and not as congested as the city center. The hotel shuttle is very convenient and makes it extremely easy to get back and forth to the city center. The airport is so very close, too, and some local restaurants are just around the corner. The view from rooms and terrace is stunning, the hotel location works great to move quickly between sea and pool. The hotel people are extremely helpful.
