We are challenged by being located in a very humid area of the country (near the lake) and deal the best we can with this issue. "Worst place I have ever stayed"
Overall the Travelodge in Sandusky, Ohio was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. After I get checked in to my room I walked to the room, and instantly thought this was going to be horrible. The room was very musty smelling, the plumbing sucked, and the towel that I used after I took a shower had hair in it. Not to mention you can hear every shower […] running around you. I ended up staying with a friend who booked at the Comfort Inn across the street, because I could not fall asleep in this room. When I checked out the lady at the desk asked me wlhow my stay was I told everything that was wrong and her only explination was that they open seasonaly. I wish I could my money back because that, was just terrible. As you also know, this property has exterior entrances to the guest rooms. With us being in a rather humid area of the country, this is a battle that we constantly fight--but have a pretty good system in place to combat the issue. I'm hopeful that since you brought this issue to the attention of the staff that they were at least able to remedy it for the next guest. Had you let us know right away, we probably could have moved you to a room that was more suitable. Again, my apologies!

We spent the day at Cedar Point for Halloweekends, and the park was open until Midnight, so we had a very late check in. There were 4 children and 2 adults in our room, and we were thrilled to find a hotel that could accomodate us all with 3 double beds. However...the room next door was throwing a VERY LOUD party, and using racist, disgusting language. […] We tried to turn on the TV, so the children could try to sleep, and we went downstairs to talk to the manager to see if we could switch rooms...which we were told NO. The party was going on in the room directly above the check in desk, so the manager was well aware of the situation. We ended up leaving the hotel at 4am because they would neither move us to another room, or ask the party room to quiet down. I would NOT recommend staying here...Very disappointed in the management! We were very happy with the location for our trip. The pool was not open and had to go to the one across the very busy street. As to our rooms they were tidy but not clean dust, dirt and hair in bathrooms , and throughout the room. This is an OK hotel. It is at a reasonable distance from Cedar Point. I would suggest to stay most of your time at Cedar Point instead of this hotel. "OK at need, if not your first choice."
My stay was the first as a guest, but having worked nearby for over two and a half years, I've seen much that most visitors would be unaware of. The hotel is run seasonally, and remains shuttered until Cedar Point's season is underway, and closes near Labor Day. It shares a common owner with several other hotels, and rates as the low-cost overflow option […] among those. The hotel is sanitary, technically clean, but does have a worn look and feel. Some rooms may have been closed for an entire season before you open the door, which is partially why you may see cobwebs in light fixtures or "musty hotel" smell as I did. What you are trading here is price for "new" and "shine." The folks staying here seemed to be the crowd that either couldn't book anyplace else, or were working on a budget tight enough to require it. It is located very near ample shopping and eating choices, and right off of Route 2. Cedar Point is a short drive from it, although rush-hour traffic can delay you considerably. The only thing I wasn't real happy about was the time they stopped serving breakfast. I paid for it within the price of my room but didn't get to enjoy it because they stopped serving by 9 am! "Getaway without kids"
I was disappointed that it didn't have a coffee maker and the TV was fuzzy. Had to mess with the cable on the back to make it clear. Otherwise, it was ok, I think it needs upgrades or needs to lower prices. Wasn't worth what I paid for one night.Ulasan tetamu Expedia yang asli

"At least it was clean"
Just above a truck stop. No frills at all, but cheap. My room was clean, but the maid left my door open. Fortunately nothing missing. Pool was clean and opened till 11 pm. Close to restaurants, shopping and expressway. They were nice enough to let us check in early. All and all it worked for what we needed, a place to crash after a long day at cedar […] point. "Better think twice!"
The hotel was very shabby and dirty. The stairwells and outside walkways looked like they hadn't seen a broom or soapy water for 20 years. The beds were from the 60's I think. Needless to say we booked the room for 2 nights, but left early the next morning! I had to take a sleeping pill just to get through the night, I was so creeped out!!
