"Great hotel for the price"
Was very impressed with this hotel. Small space, but they provide everything you need, and most importantly it's clean and new. Added plus: the whole place is oozing with style, very tastefully decorated. Warning: thin walls.
"Great experience"
I stayed at the Pod hotel for 12 days. First with a friend & a couple of days by myself. We booked a double room. But when we got to the room we realized the bed was really small. Probably good if you're a couple, but for just friends it was too small. Without any problems we could change our room to a bunkbed room with a shared bathroom, which was […] perfect & the staff was very helpfull. The shared bathrooms are really great. Very clean! Nice athmosphere, big showers and toilets, just wonderful. The last couple of days I stayed by myself in a single room. Which was also great. I guess this room was also small, but when you're in NYC you will be spending as little time as possible in your room. All th right things are there though, a tv, a safe, a blowdryer, free wifi. Just perfect. Everything's very clean, the staff is helpfull & the location is great. A supermarket around the corner, subway closeby, lots of very nice little diners en restaurants. "Great Location!"
Great location for seeing all of the sites of NYC. The room was small but, perfectly comfortable for my husband and I to lay our heads after a great day out. Everything was clean and tidy. The staff were very efficient and polite.

"Nice location"
With a reasonable charge, it's at a very central area in NY. The room i was staying was a bit small, but for short stay i think it's totally fine.

Very modern and hi-tech, looks like it could have been designed by IKEA. Helpful staff and very comfortable and space efficient room considering the small space.

Cute little hotel with nice details. Rooms are tiny! Staff hangs out all day in the hallways making a lot of noise, but other than that its a good spot.

"Nice hotel"
I've stayed at the Pod many times. It's nothing fancy, the rooms are small (which is expected, and anyway, what are you doing in your room besides sleeping?), and the amenities are limited. All of that is fine with me, I care about cleanliness and location. The hotel was clean, the bathroom was clean, the sheets were clean. There were a lot of noisy […] people in the corridor around 4am, but that's the way it goes in New York. I've stayed in very expensive hotels in NYC that weren't quiet. Bring earplugs no matter where you stay and it shouldn't be a problem. I like this hotel because it is clean, cheap, and close to the subway. room was too little and near laundry..it was impossible to sleep from 10 a.m.but hotel really close to must-see attractions
"Nice lil place"
Nice, clean, trendy place in good neighborhood and location. It is very small, I didn't realize how small it was, but it was fine. Our room had a private bath and shower. There is only privacy to either the toilet or shower at one time. It's a sliding door, it can't be in both places at the same time. There's a curtain between the shower and toilet. […] You can give or receive a sexy show from your partner as they shower and you watch from the bed. The shower head is directly above you and is probably at about 6'4" so if you're tall, you may be bending your knees while you shower. The room has good heating but the unit kicked on and off about every 3 mins making it hard to sleep in the mid moring hours. It did this whether it was set to high 70s or low 70s. The sink is in the bed area so you can shave and brush teeth, do hair, etc while somebody else uses bathroom. For the location, clean factor and quality, it's a good price. It's small so you'll want to be there with your partner, rather than your sibling or parent. Baca selanjutnya

Drunk passed out on the floor outside of the bathroom and throwing up in the bathroom early Saturday morning was extremely unpleasant. Is this a hostel? Cannot recommend because of the above.

"The Pod in NYC"
My husband and I stay at the Pod on 51st Street in Manhattan when we visit our daughter because it is blocks from her apt. We stay in a dbl bed with an in- room bath. The hotel staff is pleasant, the rooms are clean, and the price is affordable. A few points to note: the rooms are small so a longer stay then 3 nights would probably begin to be uncomfortable. […] The bathrooms for the rooms with no in-room bath are conveniently located and clean; in most cases just across the narrow hall. So, if you are considering a room with no bath it is not too bad an arrangement. At check in, ask for more pillows. The 2 pillows supplied are quite thin. We ask for 4 more. There is free internet and it works well. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood. There is a mix of private residences (brownstones), apts., and storefronts. You will feel safe.The hotel is a short walk to Rockefeller Center. There are many small restaurants and bars close. There is also a Food Emporium (A &P), Sports Authority, Chase Bank, and the subway within walking distance. Catching a cab to the airport is easy - just walk to 2nd Street. I would recommend The Pod. Rooms small and had shared bathrooms but my sister and I never had a problem with the restrooms being full. Close to Rockefeller! Clean and nice staff. Will return if going to ny again

"The Pod - great shopping location"
Great location, close to subway to go where ever you want. Very clean hotel, I shared the baths, pretty clean - would do again. iMy preference is not to get up in the middle of the night and go accross the hall, but it wasn't a deal breaker for the price.
This was just what I was looking for. A clean place to sleep and shower while I was in the city. I didn't want to spend a lot of time in my hotel so a small room was perfect, and I could walk to just about everywhere I was going.

"Clean, however noisy"
It's clean and comfortable. However, you can hear voice from neighbor and sometimes music from a bar or somewhere. I would recommend to people who really care about the budget, cleanness and location. The only problem is that it's noisy.

"POD Hotel in NY NY"
The POD hotel is what it advertises. The advantage is the location and its convenience. The only disadvantage that I noticed was the noise. They have music in the hallways which is nice during the day but I could hear it when I was trying to sleep. I would still stay their again but I might try to wear ear plugs.

"Pod Hotel- not bad for short stay"
Needed a cheap hotel room for a night and this fit the bill. I read prior to booking about the shared bathrooms (and often stay in hostels when I travel internationally), so it wasn't really an issue. They had a few bathrooms on each floor with toilet, sink, and shower. Which was nice because it was still private use while you were in there (not dormitory […] style), but meant the bathrooms were always steamy from people showering. They could have used better ventilation for that reason. The rooms were clean (kind of sterile though) and had a sink in them which was nice. In the end I probably could get the same accommodations in a (clean) hostel for significantly less money. But all in all, not a bad place if you want privacy and are looking to save money.
