Very nice staff, bar was great, will be back because of the bar and it's staff. Thansk for a great time.

Renovations were going on at the time of my stay--painting and wallpapering in the hallways-- which I was not informed about in advance. Good thing I didn't expect to sleep in, as some mornings there was noise by 8am. Also, the odor of paste and paint was not appreciated. The "continental breakfast" as advertised also was not what I expected. Guests […] had to choose one item from a list of 6 possibilities, all heavy on the carbs and no fresh foods. Fitness room had 2 treadmills, one that looked like a cast off from somebody's basement and the other worked OK but had seen better days. The elliptical made very scary noises. I could not get the room temperature adjusted properly. The rooms need to be updated to the needs of the 21st century traveler interms of conveniently placed and plentiful electrical outlets. Hotel lobby was very nice and appeared to have been newly renovated, but the rooms were not. The hotel was under construction so hopefully the rooms will look as good as the lobby area. Bedspread had stains on it which was not very appealing.

From a location standpoint this was right where I needed my hotel to be. Very convenient to be able to get in and out of downtown Austin TX. The room was a little small for my taste and the bathrooms were a little older in condition but all in all a decent place to stay.

The room smelled like smoke, and felt dirty. The chair at the desk was not an office chair, and it was difficult to do my work there. The attached restaurant is a local country bar… Kind ofK interesting.

I was there 4 nights the first 3 were quite and had no problems. Saturday night was a different story. Sounded like someone was running on a treadmill all night in the room above mine. Then around 3AM there was two different groups of people that were hollering out in the hall . Very little sleep that night. The restraunt doubles as a club and was dark […] and well out dated. Only stayed for promimity to 6th street. Not the cleanest hotel but the money was right and for the amount of time spent in the room it done the job.

The distance from the downtown area was good and easy to get to. They were refurbishing the hotel at the time of our stay so there was an odar of paint in the halls but it did not effect the rooms. Our refrigerator did not work but we were not using it so we didn't really care. I feel the three star rateing is about right and would consider using it […] again when visiting the Austin area. . My husband and I newly married, were coming back from Corpus Christi and had to stop. We decided to stay at the Clarion. The staff was very nice and accomidating. The room was very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

All was good but was being upgraded. Not a big deal just unexpected.

My friends and i stayed here for new years. Its a pretty cool looking hotel (minus the renovating mess) the elevator is scarryyy and weirdly small but it has it's modern touches. The microwave legit was from like 1917 but the room was very clean and the staff was very helpful!

Not worth the rate, close to 6th, $10 cab ride. Appliances took me back to 1985. Female at the front desk was rude. The place served its purpose, I just needed a cheap place to sleep after a night out.

The room AC did not work, the room was 78 degrees I asked to move rooms and that room didn't work either. I was very disappointed.

Stayed here for business. Loved the hotel except I had concerns for safety because of its design.Had to go outside to go to workout room. Advertised free breakfast then come to find out it was $2 off of breakfast........not the same. Paid for a suite and it was a regular room in my opinion. Staff attentive. Hotel clean.

Internet service was poor, breakfast was a joke. Definitely no worth the price.

The morning front desk person, a female red head was wonderful and up, and the same for the evening person. The breakfast waitress person was also polite and fast. She was short with long dark hair. I would stay there again. thank U

This Clarion hotel was supposed to be a 3 star hotel, the price was, but the room was barely on par with a normal Hotrel6 room. It was clean and the A/C was nice and cool upon arrival. The shower head and toilet were in dire need of an upgrade.The water pressure from the shower was meager. I am sure there will be a 3rd. Close to 6th Street, but not too close and pricey. We took a cab, very cheap and no worries.

The location of this hotel is excellent, easily bikable to all the hip areas. The hotel lobby is promising. The room itself was uninspiring. Not as clean as I would expect (grimy light switches, hair in tub). The power went off in my bathroom and vanity at one point, luckily it was fixed quickly. The door did not close easily. The desk chair was awkwardly […] oversized and took up most of the room. The mini-fridge and microwave were circa 1970. If the rooms were as updated as the lobby this would be a sweet deal. I had my car vandalized and my belongings stolen the one night I stayed at this hotel. The woman at the front desk offered me no assistance beyond giving me the number for the Austin police and had a very condescending attitude like this was all somehow my fault and that I was bothering her by asking questions about parking lot/hotel security.

No one at the reception on my (late, midnight) arrival - had to wait for 10 minutes infront of the main door. The door lock required special effort to get it to cooperate (I had to pull the door while unlocking). No hot water - at best it was lukewarm throughout my stay. Huge bugs in my room. Rooms are motel-quality. I was in a room on the ground […] floor with the only window looking at the parking lot - with people constantly passing by. Internet access was OK on the first day, and then it just stopped working (their authorization service was down), and it remained down for the rest of my stay. There was no one at the front desk when we arrived. I think the attendant must have been helping the guy at the counter with something which is probably why she was no where to be found for a while. However once we got to the front […] desk, the attendant was friendly and helpful. The lobby is nice with the monochromatic color scheme. It's very hip. The rooms were not as hip, but they were still clean and comfortable. I felt that this hotel was more of a 2.5 star rather than a 3 star, but that's mainly because it seemed a little worn and could have used some updating. The location was decent since we had a car. It was only around 10 mins to drive to the downtown/live music scene. The hotel is off of the freeway, so there wasn't a "neighborhood" feel. This Clarion has a lot going for it, but haven't they heard of good strong coffee instead of weak, horrible Maxwellhouse? Why can't they get fresh bagels instead of nasty, thawed out or stale ones? If they're going to offer a hot dish, why make it petrified burritos? If you're going to survive in Austin, you've got to serve some fresh, creative food […] and REAL coffee! Baca selanjutnya

The whole purpose of the visit to Austin was to go to 6th street at night! The hotels in downtown were way too expensive! This hotel was nice and half the price! The taxi ride was very affordable at 10 each way and the cab drivers knew exactly where the clarion was! The breakfast was kind of a joke but good to grub on in the morning.

The hotel lobby and pool area are very nice for the star rating indicated. The rooms were clean, comfortable and adequate, but this is clearly a renovated or being renovated property. The free breakfast was very adequate to start the day and was well presented. The free-internet did not work in my room and the only pop machine on the property was out […] of order and the restaurant closed before 10 PM. This hotel is a 1 1/2 star at best. Total disappointment.

Nice enough linens, free wireless, easy freeway access and free parking. What's not to love? The free breakfast was a little funky, but there's a Starbucks across the street. My only wish was for a gym with a little more personality, but the stay was more than adequate.

Upon check-in the desk clerk upgraded my room to a king from a queen without my request...nice surprise! The room was comfortable and worth the money. The only complaint I might have is that the breakfast included with the room was less than appetizing...didn't care for bean burritos for breakfast...wish there had been eggs instead. I was extremely surprised at the luxury of the room for the price. The room was beautiful. Breakfast was just ok, but was free. Unfortunately, we we weren't there during the weekdays- they have free socials that sound like tons of fun. Very close to good shopping- The Domain and others. When we stay in Austin again, it will certainly be here

I wouldn't leave a goat in this Hotel!

Overall pretty good, 6th St prices were outrageous so we stayed a little further out and were quite happy. It was the right decision as some were in the 3 to 4 times this amount range per night! There was a game on our weekend getaway.

Don't have a single bad thing to say. The hotel is very clean, the pool is nice, the staff is great (our key didn't work right away -- they immediately brought us a good one, and then later someone called to make sure that we were not having any other problems) Breakfast is great. Breakfast tacos -- yum! Convenient location. Highly recommend

The hotel was easy to find and the room was more then enough for what I wanted it for. Could have been a little bigger, but the front desk was helpful, it had a sports bar next door, and the bed was comfortable. Overall a pleasant stay and I would stay there again!

this is not a good hotel for the money parking lot is dark and never could get hot water because i was so far at the back of the hotel when i asked why i couldnt be closer to the front i was told those rooms are for people that are at a conference it was a tuesday night late just looking for somewhere comfortable and safe to park and there was hardly […] anyone at this hotel so that seemed odd to me that they couldnt accomadate closer to the front where there was more lighting!!!!!!!!! The hotel overall was okay. It is an older building, but everything was rather clean. The shower/tub did not drain well. However, we were there just 1 night, and waited in between showers. The elevator is a little scary, I suggest the stairs. I forgot my toothpaste, and was shocked they gave me a large tub and not the sample that I was expecting. So […] thanks for that! Good location. rooms are large & nice. My room when I checked in had the A.C. turned off & the room smelled muggy & took a couple of 3 hrs to cool down. also refrigerator in room was turned off. No extra electrical plugs. Had to unplug the lamp on desk to plug in computer.

Air conditioner had not been turned on; room was too hot to stay in when we first arrived, and took several hours to cool donw to a comfortable level. I would have expected the AC to be turned on a couple of hours in advance of checking in, to cool the room down. Our room was out of the way, in the back of the property and on the top floor, even though […] the hotel appeared less than 25% full.
