Super 8 Freeport ME/L.L.Area - Freeport

I found my room to be clean and tidy. I did find the room a bit cold so I turned the heat on high and it warmed up very quickly. After things warmed up I turned the heat off but it became cool fairly quickly - an extra blanket in the room might have been helpful. I turned the heat on low and that solved the problem but then after a couple of hours it […] would get too warm and you'd have to shut it off again. Other than that I had a lovely stay. It was great to have a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave in the room although I didn't use them. I didn't stay for breakfast so I can't comment on the menu selections. The room would have been fine if the heat worked. Luckily I was in a double by myself and could take the blankets off the other bed. Nice breakfast, really like the make your own waffles.

generally average.... motel does require some maintenance. Fulfilled our needs as we spent most of our time out and about town and only required a clean and safe place to stay.

We have been using this hotel since it opened. In recent yrs it had been going downhill, however recent renovations & still ongoing makes it much improved. We particularly like the quality of breakfast.

A fair value for the price, which includes a light continental breakfast. But the corridors smelled unpleasant, and if I had been traveling alone I would have been a little concerned at the lack of security; you don't need to use your room key to get into any of the buildings.

Room was clean and staff helpful. No microwave in room or breakfast area was a disappointment as we had leftovers from dinner out.

Our stay was pleasant. The room was clean. Toilet did not work very well and we reported it. The highway was a noicy, however it was a shopping weekend and we did not spend much time in the room, overall for the price it was good.

OK value if you just want a place to sleep. Hallways smell. Stayed 2 nights, arrived back after first night to find room had not been seen to by housekeeping. Continental breakfast ran out of various condiments each morning, and only 3 tables of 4 in seating area!! Will not stay here again.

It was surprisingly nice. The room was clean and comfortable, with a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was clean (a deal breaker for me). Only downside was that I found the bed too hard (but that's a personal preference) and our room was at the end of the building, which meant we heard people come and go, but again, not a fault, just circumstance. […] I would stay there again. Typical hotel with simple amenities, priced right. There was limited seating in the breakfast room. Chairs missing. Breakfast selections were also limited. Probably would stay there again.

I bring my parents here every year, the reason we return to this motel verses all of the others in the area is the staff. The same staff seems to be here every year and are so friendly. This means a lot to us, very comforting

This was a good room for a quick over night stay. The room was clean, the shower worked well. The freeway was located just outside the window and was rather noisy. The front desk staff were not very helpful or friendly, it appeared that customer service was not their strong area. The breakfast served in the morning was poor. The tables were dirty. Stayed in the area to attend a conference at Pinelands a short distance away. This hotel was convienent to the Interstate, shopping in Freeport and other not too far from Portland. I needed wifi for business and this service was excellent. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet even though it faced the highway, I was not bothered by noise. Our stay got off to an unpleasant start. We were assigned to a room that had not been cleaned. Apparently, the housekeeper had told the desk clerk all the rooms had been cleaned. He was very apologic and quickly assigned us to another room. The rest of our stay went okay. Hotel staff were pleasant and the rooms were clean. When staying here, if you are bothered by road noise, make sure you ask to have a room on the front. The back side of the motel is on the highway.

While staying at the Super 8, the rates were good and so was the location. The only issue we had was that the guy I checked in with gave me no information at all. We had to call the front desk numerous times for info on wifi and breakfast, etc. understanding that it is peak season right now, I actually felt that the people in Portland was nicer than […] the people in Freeport. Most uncomfortable king size bed, rooms musty and very cheap interior, grayish white towels, area around the hotel doors dirty and sketchy. Would never stay here again!

Everything in Freeport in the summer is outrageously priced!!!! That being said, as one of the cheapest places that I found to stay, this was pleasantly surprising. Very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast was good...waffles, bananas, bagels, muffins, cinnimon buns, hard boiled eggs, toast, yogurts, cereals. Plus milk, juice, teas and coffee. […] Plenty for a free bonus! Dirty floors, smelled Awful, even in the middle of the night after I was hoping to get used to the smell. The bathroom floors and tub were horrid, couldn't even take a shower and wouldn't let my daughter walk around the room without shoes. The beds were stiff cheap mattresses... Service and location are good. Ok for overnight place to stay. Hotel seems to be used as personal residence by a multi-family run buisness. Not a very professional way to run a Hotel.

We we're stuck in a smoking room since that was all they had left but the entire hotel felt disgustingly dirty. Our room stunk to high hell. Even the bedsheets stunk. It was difficult to even let the sheets touch our skin. Alarm clocks were totally broken and showed letters instead of numbers. The room smelled terrible and the beds were very small and uncomfortable. The linens had stains on them and the pillows must have been ten years old. The front desk person was very pleasant but that's the only good thing I can say about our stay.

Even though this hotel is practically on the intrestate, the room was very quite. It appeared clean however, a musty ordor greated me upon entery to the room. I think the hotel went through a recent renovation, however the painters stoped midway through my room, the jagged line separating old and new paint clearly evident.
