The Paramount - A Times Square, New York Hotel - New York

Paramount is an awesome place to stay. We have NO expectation and were VERY happy. The staff was great with direction to and from place and the location was awesome!! You are less that 100 yards from ALL the action in TIME SQUARE. I would recommend to any and everbody! The rooms are a little small but if you are going to NYC to stay in your room... […] DONT GO.... Very close to subways. In the heart of theatre district. Convenient. However the room was tiny. They "upgraded" me to a double bed. Hmmmm. Not sure if this was much bigger than a single. However would stay there just for the convenience again. I would not take my wife however. Not enough room for 2 people in the room.

First the bad news. Good luck getting the hotel on the phone prior to your arrival. I called many times, left numerous messages and didn't get a call back. Also, they have little signage outside. Look for the Paramount Bar and they are just before the Scientology Building. Great news. Amazing location, right in Times Square. Right next to "Restaurant […] Alley" full of 30+ places to eat. Great value. Nice, trendy lobby with a nice bar. Rooms are ok, smaller but normal for the area. Definitely recommend this hotel. Great value. Perfect location. Baca selanjutnya

Hotel was not ready for check-in at 17:30, so there was no time to inspect the room or to freshen-up before the show. Corridors were dark and the hotel not modernized recently. From a price perspective the accomodations were fine but for $20 more per evening there are much better hotels available.

The hotel was in a great location..close to Times Square! Room was comfortable (small but that is new york).. only complaint about the room was every shower I took was FREEZING cold. Paramount bar in the lobby was nice-good service! Overall a good experience!

Great location and, if sleep is important, my room was dead quiet. Small but having lived in Europe am used to small rooms; no bother. Water pressure from shower very weak; that was a bother. Staff was helpful. Colors were dark and dreary; Stark may be a world class architect but his sense of color needs work!

great location. rooms were small but clean. the art deco/contemporary style of the building is remindful of a 1930's astaire/rogers movie. It was alos reasonably priced-something unusual for the city. Down side? Like all new york attractions you are charged a lot for ervything else. "Free" wi-fi is limited to the second floor mezzazine. In room wi fi […] is expensive and if youre new to the city,it is necessary. The mezzanine also houses an expensive breakfast restaurant . Cant speak for the quality but again-not cheap. Clean, great rate, good location, comfy bed, quiet--but the bathrooms all seem so awkward, with little "put down" space for your things, meaning you have to move and re-move items constantly. Took forever to get non-scalding shower water; time before no hot water at all.

I couldnt recommend this hotel only because the rooms are so tiny!!! even if you upgrade they are still tiny!

We stayed for 4 nights in a Deluxe Room. On the first two nights we badly could sleep because of the noise coming from the outside - (at 2am and 5 am a truck parked at the front of the hotel - and our room - and stayed for like one hour turned on doing an huge noise...). we asked to change, they did it without too mani questions, but the next room on […] the 16th floor was... shaking! Yes! it seemed a earthquake that never stoped... the room has the front to the same street... We complained again and they gave us a mini room on the back of the building - very calm indeed, with the king size bed (we payed for it) - yes, BUT was so small, so tiny, that I didnt have a bedside table, the luggage couldn't stay opened and the closet was so small comparing with the other rooms... I know rooms in NYC are small and I can accept that but these rooms are ridiculously small. The actual measurements of the room should be noted on the hotel website so clients can make better informed choices.

This hotel is a great location if you are going to the theater and planning to spend the night in the city. The staff is very accommodating.

Hotel's great. Location's great. The room- ARE YOU KIDDING ME? It's like a janitor's closet. They didn't even paint the door the color of the other doors because they don't want anyone to know it's actually a room. Aren't there habitability laws that prevent you from renting out a 50 square foot room? I'm surprised in the middle of the night the janitor […] didn't knock and ask if he could take his mop out. Looks trendy/artsy, but common areas are very dark. Rooms are very small and not well planned out. You can't hang a dress in the closet due to drawers and safe in bottom of tiny closet. The only electrical outlets are in the bathroom and behind the mattress (difficult to plug cell phone in). Hard to move in the room as bed takes up 80% of the room. […] White faux leather chair was strained. Bed was comfortable though and staff I encountered were nice. The library bar was nice. If you're looking to stay in the middle of everything (Times Square), the Paramount is a great choice. Every staff member is friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and well-maintained (loved my bed). There are restaurants/diners/delis all around the hotel, and - of course - your theatre choices are endless. Sure, the rooms are small - but ALL […] hotel rooms are small in NYC ... and who wants to spend a lot of time there, anyway, when the most exciting city in the US is right outside your door??? Perfect location, the hotel is OK but the rooms/bathrooms are very small. You have to walk around the beds to get to the bathroom. Our sink was only 2 feet from our bed.

I live on Long Island but I was looking for a quick get away to NYC with my kids before the new year. I looked online and found a great deal at the Paramount Hotel just off Times Square. My kids and I had a great time in NYC and were pleased with location of hotel. We went to Rock Center, got candy from M & M World & Hershey, skated at Bryant Park, […] took great pictures in Times Square but overall just had great family time! Baca selanjutnya

The hotel was in a superb location. Rooms although small were adequate, comfortable and clean.

the hotel staff were not well informed and had (supposedly) no idea of the conceirge services. We booked theatre tickets through them and were thoroughly ripped off. It made us feel uncomfortable not to mention angry. We know NY is notorious for this kind of thing but found it disturbing that the hotel took no reasonability for what was going on. Room was clean and bathroom was nice. However, room was so small and cramped, you couldn't walk around bed to get in the other side! Clock radio was located on lower shelf of bedside table so you couldn't see the clock or use the ipod function. Volume button on tv remote was broken. When checking bags prior to check in, the attendant was rude and offhand […] then charged an extra $3 for an empty tote bag which was attached to my luggage!! Just not my type of hotel. First Time I complained about a room. Toilet with Urine On Seat. Overall dirt on floors.

I booked this hotel for 1 night and came in to NYC on 12/23/12. I wanted to tour the city and take pictures of several sites. This was conveniently located close to where I wanted to be while on my stay. The room was enough for the one night I was staying. It was a very nice room with all that I needed. The staff was nice. My Daughter and I had a great stay at the Paramount. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room, while small, was comfortable, clean and all we needed for our 3 night stay. The hotel was very charming and perfectly located for accessing theaters, Time Square and subway lines. There was an odd, musty odor in the lobby, but something I could definitely […] overlook! have never been in such small rooms, the rate is not correct for the hotel. Have been in cheapeast hotels in NY with better service and confort.

This hotel is all about the location, the room we got was small but nice, but who spends alot of time in the room in NYC anyway? Lobby had a cool design and played good music, 1,5 min walk to middle of timessquare for a decent price. So I would stay there again.

Rooms are so small you can open the blinds from the bed. Bathrooms are tiny. Most recent make over was poorly executed and poor quality. the hallways are so dark it's like a bat cave. basically, the hotel is not hip but is like a watered down, dingy W after an acid hit.

We were hustled by the doorman into an old limo instead of a regular taxi on our request for taxi to the airport. The taxi ride into New York only cost us $40 in heavy traffic and we were told to avoid the airport toll charge, the fare would be $50 out to the airport- this being the same price as a regular taxi. There was very little traffic and no […] airport toll. We handed the driver $50 and called it a day. This incident as with others experienced may not be a big deal in money terms, however it seems the principle of this operation is bred from disrespect and lack of vision of the big picture value of tourism. Keeping overall honesty creates trust, respect, good feeling and worthwhile spending of hard savings. We hope that 'pulling fast ones' on tourists stops as families do save hard just on passports and visas so that they can travel, learn about the world and its cultures to develop sense of meaningful connectedness. This hotel had the ambiance of hip New York Boutique Hotel. From the atmosphere of the lobby to the the exquisite rooms. Rooms were very clean, and the staff was very accommodating. I would come back here in a heart beat. It was not a New York nightmare. I strongly recommend for anyone to stay here.

I was here for business and stayed here once before and had a good experience. This past stay there was one problem after another (which happens, I understand) however the staff didn't do a good job making it better for me. The manager even raised his voice at me. Positives: good location if you want to stay in Times Square, good gym, friendly staff […] in restaurant, amazingly comfortable beds, Dean and Deluca outside of lobby, Nice vibe in the lobby area. Negatives: drilling outside of room (they are renovating), one room I had didn't have hot water (the other one was great and did), some rooms are small, had to move rooms and second one I was promised wasn't available, charge for internet ($13.95/day and discounted for multiple days). The staff said there is new management so perhaps they are having growing pains. Beautiful structure and luxurious beds. Softest pillows ever... However... My king size bed left the tiny room hard to walk. No desk. No in room entertainment, unless you pay per title. 6-18 USD for everything on tv. Not a news channel or music free... I know times square demands your cash, but the 14usd Internet charge that blocks video, all video.... […] I felt invaded. I felt they have no right to effect my devices by blocking video, especially after paying for wi-fi... Not happy. Staff and facility were immaculate.... That ain't enough to get me back. This hotel is located about 50 yards from Times Square. Very easy access to everything.

The room was small but adequate. Decor was trendy.

So after reading a lot of reviews on this hotel I decided to pay extra to get a 1 bedroom suite. There was 2a 2c. The kids were in the lounge room area. One on the divan and the other on a very good quality rollaway. The kids were very happy with their beds. The facilities were great. Our room faced times square which was brilliant had a birds eye view. […] Hotel did everything we asked whenever we called reception. A couple of things we found - the door staff are very pushy on you taking the private cars - avoid this where possible. More expensive by up to twenty percent and the New York yellow cabs are just fine. Set fee to JFK was fifty dollars - great idea. Subway is perfect to get around. If you want to go to ground zero to see water monument (a must do) remember to fetch your free entry pass at the freedom store - they give out passes at 9am or 1pm. Valid for any day you choose to validate. Theatre tickets don't pre book - just go to Times Square each day and line up at red tckts store under the stairs - the seats are great and you save half a but less. . It only takes thirty minutes to line up. Also possible to go to each theatre and take a chance on cosby rush tickets but I wasn't successful on this. We loved NYC and the Paramount was perfect for us. The hotel offers specials on their website. The normal double room is very tiny but if you are simply only in Your room to sleep it will be ok but not if you have kids We paid for Internet in room forty three dollars for seven days they have didferent packages. The foyer is free. Dean and Deluca in the hotel foyer sell the best latte's and service is great. Fabulous Baca selanjutnya
