When making reservations I called to to insure that there were smoking rooms and was told that there would be no problem. When I arrived I was told that if you want to smoke you need to do it in the back yard. If you check the website - under rooms - smoking is listed as permitted. Also, when I called for room service it was made clear that they would […] do it but only because they weren't busy. All this at the same time that I was looking at the room service menu in the documents in the room. The room was good, etc. but they need to correct the misstatements on their web site. "Great place to stay- awesome hot chocolate too"
We found this particular Hilton to be a great hotel. We were in town for Christmas visiting relatives, deciding on this hotel as it seemed like a nice place for a good price. "Hilton Garden Inn - Shelton"
WE stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Shelton for one night. We had a function in Ansonia. The hotel was close to our destination. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the service at the buffet was excellent. We would stay here again.

"Quick Stay"
This was a last-minute booking for New Years Eve. We did not spend much time in the hotel, but the room was clean and very comfortable. The only downside was the hotel was near capacity, and there was a lot of the water temperature in the shower in the morning.

"Inconvient credit card policies"
While I have no complaints about this hotel in particular, I do have a problem with the hotel's policy of putting a $50 hold on my credit card for every night that I stayed over, that will not go away for at least 2 days after I have checked out. Rooms clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Stayed for 3 days for a family wedding with relatives from 4 states. Beautiful lobby for all to relax in, excellent breakfast buffet and a wonderfull staff to organize and carry it all out. Plenty of restaurants and shopping abound. excellent choice.
"A very nice stay"
I actually booked this for my daughter who was turning 16 and a few cousins and friends stayed over night to celebrate. The hotel was able to get us adjoining rooms and they were very clean. Also had free coffee, cookies, and a hot chocolate table with all the fixings. Would come back again

I appreciated the hotel bar and restaurant that served not just breakfast but also lunch and dinner. This was a nice treat, especially when arriving after all car rental comapnies had closed. "Five Star!,,"
Clean, comfortable and QUIET!!! Can't say enough about the staff. Smiles at the front desk, helpful at breakfast. Plenty of parking and a reception area equal to the "NYC Big Boy" hotels. You will LOVE this one as your choice!

"Hotel in shelton"
I was pleased with the hotel service, and we loved the continental breakfast. The only minor disappointment was that the swimming pool and jaccuzi was small. I wish it was bigger, but overall I was pleased with the hotel.
The hotel was nice. People were friendly. However, it was very hot in our room and it took until our second night to have the AC unit fixed. The filter was extremely dirty and would not allow for air flow.
The Hilton Garden Inn in Shelton Connecticut was, overall, an excellent hotel. The ONLY thing I was not completely pleased with was the size of the beds in my room. They were just too small for two persons. Quite comfortable for one person though.

I had a first rate stay at the Hilton Gardens in Shelton, CT.. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel was very clean and neat. The pool and gym area was very nice and the equipment was well maintained. If I should have to stay in that area again, I will return to this hotel.

The check-in was smooth and although I had requested two double beds, they assigned me a King size bed. I asked for a roll away and they provided it free of charge. The complimentary Starbucks coffee in the lobby was a really welcome perk. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was well maintained. I also liked the complimentary wireless internet […] that is provided for guests. Many hotels nickel-and-dime you with extra charges for internet service. All in all, this was a very good experience for me and represented a great value. "Worst Hotel Stay Ever"
I checked in and the swipe key was not working and switched rooms. The room had no heavy drape to close and a street light made the room bright all night and was annoying. The worst was the group across the hall had a ripping party from 11PM to 5AM and after calling the front desk twice nothing was done. "great, just shower issues"
I stayed for two nights, everything was great except that the shower constantly changed temperature and I had to always jerk the faucet handle to the left or right to compensate. Otherwise, room service was great, bed was extremely comfortable, and pool and hot tub were good.

I have stayed at many hotels and this is by far one of the most accomodating hotels and friendly people.They are all truly there for us visitors to enjoy our stay.

My reservation was confirmed smoking of which I retained a printed copy. I notified upon arrival that there were no smoking rooms and after some debate was allowed to smoke with the window open and later charged $50.00 additional dollars on my credit card without any consultationion with me. Very disappointed.

It was great except all of the hockey kids running up and down the hallways Knocking on doors.
