Very good quality for the price. Concierge was excellent and witty. Felt like a world class bed and breakfast with extra trimings and the surrounding area is full of parks and museums. Well located.

Quiet, great for sleeping. Very friendly staff. Room service was quick. Loved the bowl of blueberries that I mixed with Greek yoghurt for breakfast.

Great stay, great location close to hospitals

We really enjoyed the hotel. The rooms were nice and the whole place was tastefully remodeled. Has a great little bar on the first floor and a nice breakfast spread in the morning. The coffee was outstanding! My only complaint was the pillows. They were way too stiff!

The Glidden House is top-notch in cleanliness, ambiance, and LOCATION. Right up the hill is Little Italy, around the corner is the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Botanical Gardens, the Natural History Museum, and more, and in strolling distance are restaurants and a cute pub. I really like Glidden House. Charming historic building, Sergio's next door, great breakfast and a great bar. Nice quiet neighborhood. There are many generic places to stay in Cleveland but Glidden House has character.

I usually stay at a hotel where I can rack up the points, but those tend to be without much personality. I was so happy that I decided to give the Glidden House a try. It is completely charming and comfortable. It had the feel of a bed and breakfast without the awkwardness of a b and b. Room walls were well insulated so I never heard my neighbors. The […] bed was really comfortable, the room itself was well appointed. It's located right on the Case Campus so there are lots of places to walk and lots of restaurants within walking distance. The gal behind the desk was not the most welcoming, but she was young maybe not the most experienced in hospitality so I'll forgive that. The other people at the hotel - doorman and breakfast gal were super nice and professional. all in all - this is a great little gem, charming and chic. it's also great to support a local buisness. Great hotel. Close to city. Nice safe area.

We were looking for a hotel near The Cleveland Clinic and The Glidden House certainly fit the bill, conveniently located in University Circle. We enjoyed a couple of excellent dinners at very close-by restaurants, as well. The old Glidden mansion has been nicely converted into an intimate hotel, not unlike some you might find in Europe. The included […] breakfast was vast and tasty. There's also a cozy lounge/bar area if you'd like an after dinner drink. There was no tub in our room, shower only, but that was fine for us, although some might want to know about that. I'd certainly recommend The Glidden House to anyone visiting Cleveland. Don't even bother with the expensive hotel over at the Cleveland Clinic. The Glidden House is like a home away from home.

The hotel is a converted mansion on the campus of Case Western Reserve University, near the art museum, botanical gardens and other museums. The room was lovely and comfortable. The included breakfast was a delicious hot & cold buffet to be consumed in the pretty sunroom. We were there for only one night, sadly, but really enjoyed the holiday decorations. […] One minor complaint was the lack of professional behavior by the young persons on desk duty when we checked in late in the evening. We worried driving into Cleveland through an unsafe-looking neighborhood, but the area around the hotel was fine. We hope to return to enjoy the grounds in the spring. Baca selanjutnya

a wonderful place to stay, our first time in cleveland, we went to the museum and and surrounding attractions. the staff and accommodations were great, the only thing that was not good was the pillow! horrid, couldn't use it at all, lumpy and too thick. but i would surely go back, and will.

a lovely change-up from chain hotels. the lobby is elegant, and has perfect nooks in crannies to enjoy a drink and conversation with friends. it's also conveniently located to university circle, and has quick access to downtown and the suburbs. the ONLY big annoyance is the gym situation. you have to pay for access, and drive a mile. for a business […] traveler, this is a big annoyance (and a disincentive to exercise). This is a lovely hotel with great hosts, wonderful location, decent parking, hotel bar and delicious breakfast, but 1- my room had a few dead and live bugs, 2- you could not take any of the breakfast items to go and watched if you took them back to your room and 3- there was no gym or workout facility.

Staying at the Glidden House is better than the original owner's experience! The service was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We stayed on a Sunday overnight and they helped us find a great reataurant open on Sunday in Little Italy, close by. The facility is a successful blend of old and new. The rooms are charming. Charming hotel. Everything was great except the bed. It was immaculate but not very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was very nice. Very convenient to the Cleveland Clinic.

We thought this hotel was great. We stay in hotels about 50 nights a year, and this one was great. Breakfast buffett was European style.

Charming, cozy hotel in a lovely area. Wonderful staff. Cute little bar. Near lots of museaums and dining. Our room was on the ground floor and it was still quiet. Didn't like the foamy marshmallow pillows, though. I will stay here next time I visit Cleveland.

Beautiful architecture, only issue we had was overly eager maids who woke us up at 0830 and 0930 wanting to clean the room. Excellent location adjacent to Cleveland Clinic, plenty of free parking.

We stayed here one night as part of a longer road trip. This was by far the nicest place we stayed. The house was gorgeous! The room was nicely furnished and spotless. The staff was courteous. But the best thing was the delicious breakfast! All-around a great stay.

Perfect if you're visiting the Art Museum, Botanical Gardens, etc. Some things (West Side Market, Lola) aren't that close but if you're driving, not too bad. Parking and (hot!) breakfast are free. It's a really gorgeous place and the surrounding university campus is beautiful and lends itself to strolling if the weather is right. Every moning we were served a buffet breakfast which included eggs(in some form), choices of breads, cereals, yogurts, fresh berries and much more. Great start to a day and nice change from the usual continental breakfast. The whole facilty is very well run and kept. I would be glad to stay there again if/when the opportunity presensts itself.

My wife and I spent several days at the Glidden House recently while visiting Cleveland for a wedding, When booking a hotel we were disappointed that there was no Ritz, Four Seasons or Fairmont. Enter Glidden House -- this hotel was much smaller, but excellently apportioned and complemented by top notch service. Nightcaps with their outstanding bartender […] Ed were a true highlight (ask for a "Rockefeller" or a "Wade Oval"). Room was on the small side, but clean and stylish. Bed was a little uncomfortable. Location was fantastic-- perfect for the quick visit to the Cleveland Art Museum and Botanical Gardens (both worth the trip). The nearby restaurant L'albatross was also convenient, French cuisine with a twist, in the vein of Thomas Keller and on par with our favorites in NYC and San Francisco. I wish we had planned to stay longer. I loved this hotel. It felt nothing at all like a hotel, but more like a home. The breakfast buffet was incredible and everyone there was friendly and helpful. I plan on another trip to Cleveland and this will be where I stay.

If you are visiting Case Western Reserve University don't miss the opportunity to stay at this very convenient, beautiful landmark hotel. They say they include a continental breakfast but it included sausage, eggs, oatmeal, pastries, fruits, yogurts, cereals, etc. There are nice restaurants next door, on site parking, and friendly staff. It was a great stay. Not necessarily close to downtown, but it was within walking distance to the bus station, which will take you directly downtown. It was close to a couple museums and the botanical gardens. The room was nice and quiet. The bar was small, but nice. Overall, the stay was great.

AWESOME! The rooms were spacious and spotless, and the beds EXTREMELY comfortable with plenty of pillows and a great mattress. The neighborhood - University Circle, in the Case Western campus area - was only a few minutes to Little Italy, the Coventry arts and dining area, and super-easy access to downtown Cleveland. The windows opened, so in the morning […] I had my coffee along with fresh air and the birds singing. The only slight negative - if that's what I can call it - was that the front door is narrow, and hard to propel luggage into. But I didn't check in until Midnight; during the day, there are porters and valets at hand to assist. Sergio's is right next door, superb dining. And the hotel has dining and a cozy bar as well. Very comfortable stay. Front desk clerk very helpful with information. Very good breakfast in the morning that was included in the price of the room. Would recommend to anyone.

We stayed at the Glidden House a beautiful hotel because we needed to be at University hospital at 6 am the next morning and it was close . My wife wanted to be able to wash up do her hair and prepare for a serious operation. Unfortunately at 4 am there was a power outage for the entire block. The staff awakend us at 5 am and gave us glow sticks to […] use while getting ready and had personel waiting to help us leave at 6 am. They offerred us a suite for a discounted price later in the week. They turned a difficult sitation into a good one.. I would highly recommend this hotel,its staff and manager. Baca selanjutnya

You cannot get a better location than this hotel right in University Circle and Wade Circle. Literally, minutes walk to the Museum of Art, Western Reserve (automotive museum), Botanical Garden, Music Institute, and so much more. Also, being right by campus makes it not only safe to walk around but always brings back memories for any college/university […] grad. Hotel was great. The Glidden House is in a super location for all Cleveland museums, symphony. Breakfast is terrific and room is gorgeous

At the Glidden House we enjoyed excellent location, close to our son drom at CAse Western and a great breakfast buffet We will be back!

This is a historic building and is close to the university campus. Excellent modern accommodation that also included complimentary breakfast.

I've been staying at the Glidden three or four times a year over the last three three years. Though I will continue to frequent the Glidden, things are sliding a bit. It's HBO service for example on my last visit offered only picture throughout the hotel. My visit before it worked fine; the visit before that, HBO was off completely. Another example […] is the front desk. Often it's friendly, but my most recent visit found a Saturday morning person in full throttle with me about a 30 minute late checkout. We stay often at the Glidden and it is always a great experience. Rooms are clean, breakfast is excellent, bar is nice and now there are appetizers available! We will stay again in Dec. Close to all museums, great restaurants, family and friends. We especially like L'albatros restaurant and coffee shop next door to the hotel.
