Mayflower Hotel - London

Checked in first thing so that I could leave my case and go to meetings. When I came back in the evening I found that I'd been moved to an apartment. I wasn't told about this when I checked in and no apology was offered for the 5 minute walk I then had to make. The room had been recently redecorated to a poor standard, the room was stiflingly hot and […] the floors were dirty. in the morning I was told that I could walk back to the hotel for breakfast. This meant lugging my case all the way back to the breakfast room, where there were no tables available and I was told there was a 30 minute wait. A pretty poor experience all round. Was lead to believe full English breakfast was included not so.My arms were touching the wall when sitting on the toilet.Walls that thin we were told off for speaking.Obviously more rooms more revenue.

For central London the Mayflower is extraordinary value for money. It's a chic little hotel just around the corner from Earl's Court and within a couple of minutes walk of a tube station. It was very very easy to find. The reception staff were all friendly, as were the breakfast staff in the morning. The breakfast was also commendable for a continental […] offering, with a decent selection and fresh, seasonal fruits. The room was tidy and well decorated, but very small. The room was no more than 7ft across, and the bed was tucked right in underneath the window. Cosy, but hardly luxurious. The walls, too, were very thin - you can hear people speaking in the hallways quite clearly. I probably wouldn't stay here again, but I would recommend the hotel to anyone on a tight budget who wants somewhere in central London. Baca selanjutnya

The Mayflower is endearingly petite - the lobby is well-decorated and chic, the lift small and good-naturedly creaky. Our room was very compact, much like the hallways leading up to it - full of funny angles and snug fits, but clean and very cosy. Overall, attention to detail and good taste in decoration make the experience a thoroughly enjoyable one, […] as if one has found a tiny hidden gem to curl up in deep within the toss and tumble of Earl's Court. The location is wonderful, less than a five minute stroll from Earl Court tube station. From there the Piccadilly, District and Circle lines provide straightforward transport to nearly anywhere. Amenities were thoroughly complete; even European wall sockets are thoughtfully provided. The one complaint would be that the concierge managed to forget that Earl's Court is a one-way street and thus gave us the wrong directions to the bus station, resulting in a bit of a last-minute dash to the tube as our only alternative; however, with sufficient personal research and presence of mind to remember the roads surrounding, I imagine this would have been much less of a problem. My Mum and I stayed here for one night while in London to see a show at Hammersmith Apollo. We were delighted with the hotel - very smart indeed. We had an attic room which was very quiet and the beds were very comfy indeed. The only let down was breakfast which was poor - terrible coffee, and a very small choice of cereals and fruit. Lovely hotel, nice room but small, modern bathroom and nice decor. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was simple continental but fresh fruit and nice coffee. Near tube but quiet.

hotel in great position only fault was noise no carpets on floor so could hear every body moving about door not fitted properly so rattled every time somebody opend or closed a door on our floor, we had to wedge it with paper also rear rooms over looking tube station so very noisy from trains

Next to the station but not noisey. Great looking decore in and outside of the rooms. Think the bad reviews are from a long time ago we had a standard double room bit on the cosy side but still and ecelent room and stay, especially for the price.

I asked for an iron. They gave me an iron. I asked if perhaps an ironing board might also be possible... Why do all hotels presume an iron is useful without an ironing board?! Anyway they gave me an ironing board. Both the iron and the ironing board were health hazards. I got the iron & board back to my room where I promptly discovered that there were […] NO MAINS SOCKETS anywhere in the room. Everything electrical is wired straight in to fused spurs. So I set about ironing my shirt out in the corridor where there was an electric socket. The lack of electric sockets in the rooms probably explains why my floor wasn't hoovered. I opened the door and saw a dust / fluff / hair ball waft across the floor. They advertise ceiling fans in all rooms, however my room didn't have a ceiling fan. It did however have a really old dirty plug-in desk fan. That would have maybe been useful if there was a mains socket to plug it in to! The bed was creaky and lumpy too. Being on the top floor using the taps obviously meant that an electric pump was needed. Turn the tap on and you get a horrendous noisy electric pump noise. This was extremely annoying when at 11pm, trying to get to sleep, the room next door decided it would be a good time to keep running their tap, which made such a horrendous noise there was certainly no sleep being had for a while! Breakfast is very, very basic. 3 different cereals, toast, and croissants. The tables are glass and very close together. Trying to get in and out of the table when people are sat next to you is tricky without nearly knocking over the somewhat unstable tables. If you're big boned, or have a big appetite, this is not for you! The location is very convenient, just a few mins walk from Earls Court tube. All in all, with the extreme pokiness of the room, no electric for the iron or my laptop, the noise from the plumbing, etc. I will not be staying there again. I chose this as it was cheaper than my normal choice of Holiday Inn Express, but t Baca selanjutnya

Small friendly hotel close to Earls Court tube, making it convenient for Kensington and central London via Piccadilly and Circle lines. Nicely fitted in Malaysian / Indonesian style with friendly and attentive staff. Good buffet breakfast with excellent fresh fruit salad. Room too small for a king sized bed - we had to shunt to get past each other. What […] let it down was the dreadful 60's aluminium patio windows that leaked cold air and noise from outside and were very insecure.t. This hotel doesn't seem to cater too well for people that have an early-ish start... One of the coldest Feb days on record, and we had to have a cold shower at 6am, as there was no hot-water. Breakfast is served from 7:30am, however they were obliging and let us eat earlier.

Excellent location just 1 minute from the underground station. Small room but clean. Nice beds, quiet. Breakfast ok but queue around 08.30. Suggestion to the hotel: charge another 1 pound per person and add free eggs to the breakfast!

The hotel is run down, clearly looked good at some point, but the poor materials used show in the worn-out look. Would be okay as lower star rating and lower price, as it stands it is not worth the price.

For short stay in London - in a central location this hotel is very good value for money.

Location was great, very close to the Tube and easy to get into the city and to everything in London. The room was supper small especially for two people, the bed was supper noisy, the shower water was scalding hot, and the TV was at a minimum 15 inches and far away from the bed. The location is wonderful! Close to Paddington tube & a Hop on & off tour bus right around the corner. Lots of good eating places to walk to & folks were very friendly over all! If I came back to London I would stay here with out a doubt!

We stayed in room 2B the first night and had to keep the bathroom door closed and the fan on all night. The room smelled like waste, but could not determine where the smell was coming from (sink, shower, or toilet). The rooms are all newly remodeled, but the quality is poor. We called immediately to get a room change, they showed us a room on the 3rd […] and 4th floor and were able to move the next day. The new room on the 4th floor overlooked Earls Court tube depot. I thought it was fun, but is work my wife up at 6:30AM. The one plus is the location, we used the tube constantly and were able to see all the sights easily. Great, safe neighborhood. Vi fik et lille men velindrettet værelse, der indeholdt det man har behov for. Udemærket morgenmad incl. i prisen.

Rent og fresht Hotell som lå fint til ved puber,spisesteder og t banen. Men rommene var altfor små,det minste jeg noen gang har sovet på. Med to kofferter og shoppingposer var det knapt mulig å røre seg der inne. Badet var også fryktelig trangt.Rommene er for 1 person,man får klaus av å være 2 stk der.

Var på dette hotellet med min 18 år gamle sønn i forbindelse med fotballtur. Hotellet har fin beliggenhet i rolig strø, med mange spisesteder rett ved. Det er også bare et par hundre meter til undergrundsbanen. Vi fikk rom i underetasjen og det gikk bra med oss gutta, men hadde nok vært værre om det kona som hadde vært med. Rommet var ganske lite, men […] helt greit og ganske nytt bad. Jeg syns senga var litt hard men sov ok. Vi synes frokosten på hotellet var dårlig, så den ble droppet og vi inntok den på nærliggende restaurant. Vi kikket på et større rom lenger opp i hotellet og det så bedre ut. Mange kan nok få litt klaus av å ligge i en kjeller, med tanke på rømningsvei osv. Vi var jo ikke mye på rommet, stort sett bare sov der, så da var det ok. Etter hva jeg har hørt om standard på hotell i London syns jeg dette var veldig bra i forhold til hva vi betalte, en svak firer :) Baca selanjutnya

Bra hotell med tanke på priset - rent och utmärkt kontinental frukost. Ok placering med nära till stora museerna. Snygg inredning.

Vi blev placeret i kælderen og var tre personer, som skulle sove i 2 senge på hver ca. 120cm. Vi havde forventet t det i det mindste havde været tre enkeltsenge, Eftersom vi havde vinduer ud til gaden, men var i kælderen, var der kun ét lille trækvinu der kunne åbnes og selve glasset var matteret. At så man brugte pladsen ud for vores vindu til at "dumpe"/nedkaste […] sække med vasketøj, gav en del støj. På trods af de ovennævnte ting, må jeg indrømme at opholdet på hotellet var behageligt og ligger helt fantastisk i forhold til transport, så det er nok ikke sidste gang jeg har boet der. + Nära tunnelbanan varifrån du tar du dig överallt i London. Fräschare och som en högre standard än vad vi väntat oss, bra frukostbuffé och service. Väldigt prisvärt Hotell med tanke på pris. -Väldigt lyhört mellan rummen.

Et rigtig godt hotel ved Earls Court. Direkte adgang fra lufthavn. Morgenbuffeten lod dog noget tilbage at ønske...

Veldig bråkete . hadde vindu ut mot undergrunnen. Veldig små rom.

Jeg har bodd mye på hotell i London og Storbritania generelt. Dette er et billig, men likevel veldig bra hotell. Rommene er bittesmå, men komfortable, med flotte bad. Beliggenheten er perfekt, med t-banen (Ears Court station) 150 meter fra hotellet. Frokosten er veldig enkel, men sånn er det på alle billighotell. Anbefales!

Dette hotel havde en super beliggenhed. Men det var alt for småt og det trak ind fra vinduerne. Vi vågnede begge om morgen med ondt i halsen og meget kolde. Det var heller ikke muligt at få en aften drink, varm eller kold. Men det bør nævnes at dette er et meget billigt hotel. Ville nok være et super godt Hotel for en enlig rejsende, der skal bruge […] en seng og sove i. Rejsen skal nok ikke fortages i vintermånederne. Baca selanjutnya

Hotellet ligger kun få minutter fra undergrundsstation med direkte forbindelse til City. Havde to værelser- det ene ok, men det andet helt uantageligt småt. Sengen ikke andet end en bred single, selvom de kaldte det et standard dobbeltrum. Prisen var den samme!

Var på førjulstur med kjæresten til London og vi valgte Mayflower hotel mest pga prisen og beliggenheten. Vi hadde et kjempeflott opphold på dette hotellet og vi anbefaler det videre til de som leter etter noe billig og sentralt. Rommet var kanskje litt lite, men det var ikke noe problem for oss som ikke tilbragte så mye tid der. Badet var utrolig nytt […] og fint og vi var veldig fornøyd med dette!. Vi syntes det var morsomt at de hadde goldt en slags indisk stil på hele hotellet og vi så det klart i trappeoppgangene og på rommet vårt!. Personalet var kjempehyggelige , men kanskje litt travle, men det ble ikke et problem!. Hotellet ligger i kingston, et området som er ganske fint og ligger en ti minutters drosjetur fra oxford street. Området har mange restauranter for enhver smak og vi spiste her to kvelder og var kjempefornøyde! Anbefaler Mayflower til alle både unge og eldre! Baca selanjutnya

Ett typiskt London hotell med smala korridorer. Vi fick ett litet rum som var fräscht, ingen heltäckningsmatta! Frukostbuffe med bl a croissant, generöst tilltaget. Klart över normal Londonstandard.

Alt i alt godt fornøyd med dette hotellet. Følte at vi fikk bra valuta for pengene. Litt minus for mutt (men heldigvis ikke sur) betjening i resepsjonen, senger litt i hardeste laget (som på de fleste hoteller) og en smule enkel frokost. Savnet litt kjøttpålegg. Kleines Stadthotel mit kleinen, aber nett eingerichteten Zimmern.Die Badezimmer sind sauber und schön , Fön inclusive. Morgens gibt es ein kleines Frühstücksbuffet mit Brötchen, Toast und Croissants.Käse, diverse Marmeladen und Honig. Zusätzlich Müsli, Joghurt und frischen Obstsalat. Es gibt Kaffe, Tee und verschiedene Obstsäfte sowie Mineralwasser. Das […] Hotel liegt in direkter Anbindung an den U-Bahnhof Earls Court, von da ist man in 10 Minuten in der Innenstadt. In dem Stadtteil gibt es viele Restaurant und nette Pubs um Essen zu gehen, sowie viele kleine Supermärkte um sich Kleinigkeiten zu besorgen. Perfekt für eine Städtereise. Baca selanjutnya

Minus: bittelite rom, bittelitt usentralt og lite utvalg i frokost (den som er inkludert i prisen). Pluss: hyggelig betjening, rent, rett ved underground (Earls Court) og mange hyggelige restauranter og cafeer. Stort pluss: veldig rolig strøk som gjorde underverker for nattesøvnen. Passelig for par på tur.
