The breakfast is really good. The people are friendly. Parking is over priced as it is in frond of the hotel (outside) and about 19 euros per day. The room is ok, but the bed is small (single bed) the bathroom is fine.

Nice room, although the street noise in the early morning was a bit much, but then in Europe you're supposed to close the windows tight. Also, I don't think all rooms are equal, if you're travelling alone, see if you can get a room ending in 10.

Great hotel! Very clean, comfortable, very European. Loved high ceilings, towel warmer. The hotel restaurant was just superb, though reasonably priced. It was great to park a car in front of the hotel. There was Internet outlet at the room, which Is not free, though I bought a 1 G data card from Vodafone at the airport upon arrival @ $15, which I used […] with my iPad, so I had great Internet connection everywhere (even Skype vide calls worked fine). I stayed in Brno for business, and cannot fault the location of the Grand, especially if you are travelling onward by Student Agency coaches - the pick-up and drop-off point is just across the road! The staff were friendly and helpful, only 2 downsides: 1) a lift was out of action, meaning a long wait sometimes, 2) no free internet in the rooms, wireless […] in lobby was not working. It was good to stay at this hotel for my b-trip. Very convenient location for airport and train. Hotel is old, but everything works fine. Room was comfortable, breakfast was good.

This hotel is right across the street from the rail way station, and is extremely convenient. The breakfast is great, however the room was average at best. I could not get the air conditioning to work and had a hard time sleeping as a result. The building is old but serviceable and there was a lot of noise from the street.

The location is ideal - right in front of the bus/train station. The room is small even for European standard. Breakfast is served hot with lots of selections.

Stayed for two nights in September for visit to Brno fair before travelling further by train. The hotel is conveniently located just 50 metres from the station tram hub and the railway itself. On show days the tram is by far the cheapest and quickest way to get from the city centre to the fairground, a journey of just 10 minutes. I found the staff to […] be attentive and helpful. The room was comfortable but the mini-bar prices were expensive. Water, etc, can be bought at a quarter of the price in local shops. The paid-for internet service was fast and stable, although costly. However the savings on calls I was able to make via Skype more than covered this outlay. As is often the case in Central Europe, the area around the railway station is not the cleanest or most welcoming of places, but in my opinion the advantages of the hotel outweigh any doubts about its surroundings. You will not have an easier experience finding a hotel from a train station. Just look ahead as you exit the station and you will see the hotel. The hotel is centrally located for exploring Brno's sites, restaurants and tourist areas. The breakfast provided is excellent, with plenty of variety for everyone. This was my third stay at the Grand Hotel in Brno, CZ. It is an older hotel but well maintained. The service staff was always courteous and helpful. The complimentary breakfast bouffet was excellent and one of the best I've experienced. The restaurant in the hotel had a resonably priced menu and the food preparation was excellent. Netter Service, sehr sauberes Hotel, gediegen renoviert, absolut in Ordnung für einen geschäftlichen Aufenthalt; Bedingt durch den gegenüberliegenden Busbahnhof und nahen Bahnhof sind die nach vorne gelegenen Zimmer bei geöffnetem Fenster laut, aber sonst gut schallisoliert. Der Autostellplatz vor dem Hotel ist in Relation zum Zimmerpreis eher teuer […] (450.--Kronen). Das Frühstücksbüffet ist dem Preis angemessen. Obwohl das Hotel selbst nicht an der schönsten Straße liegt (s.o.) ist es doch sehr nach zur Altstadt, die mit wunderschön renovierten Altbauten überrascht, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten liegen sehr nahe am Hotel. Resepsjonen var veldig hyggelig. Jeg fikk rommet med vindu til bakgården i første etasje, stille og rolig. Rommet var ryddig og rent. Hvis du forventer 5-stjerne standard, da er du på feil plass her. Utstyr på rommet er gammelt- fra 80/90 tallet. Gammelt TV, ikke flatskjerm. Hvis det var ikke så rent, da her jeg bedt om å få penger tilbake. Hotel di grandi dimensioni e che solo ora risente la concorrenza di altre strutture in loco più moderne e confortevoli. L'immobile è comunque bello e confortevole; il servizio è allineato a quanto si trova mediamente in Brno (applicando però tariffe internazionali); pulizia delle camere garantita. Colazione migliorabile.
