This is an area of transit, with two mainline stations and a dozen Métro links. Gare du Nord is the terminus for Eurostar and trains to Charles de Gaulle Airport. The main sights are glass and fan museums and the 17th-century archways of St-Denis and St-Martin. Ethnic shops, markets and restaurants on Boulevard du Strasbourg and Passage Brady (‘Little India’) and lively cafés along Canal St-Martin make atmospheric diversions.

Good bargain from a travel site. Renovated a couple of years ago, very good condition. Nice staff at reception, spoke good english. Breakfast was nice. A fairly good location, 15 walk from Gar du Nord. 5 min walk to Republique metro. There is one station even closer but it serves only one line. Rooms small but nice and clean. Recommendable.

Hotel is located on busy street approx 15 mins on foot (downhill) from Gare du Nord. Our room was at the rear of the hotel which was quiet. The lift is slow and always seem to be busy & at one point broke down completely but it was repaired quickly. Reception staff very friendly & will speak English without any prompting (remember this is Paris) so […] this is a real bonus. Breakfast tickets can be purchased from the front desk at a reasonable price. Paris is an expensive city so make the most of the breakfast - it is not spectacular but will keep you going until lunch where it will cost you €8-10 for 2 cafe au laits let alone lunch. It is a quite nice hotel with a convenient location, helpful staff within the reasonable price! Also, the wifi had gd connection throughout the hotel! We only stayed for 1 night but it was very nice, clean and comfortable. The room is small, but that is the same with most Paris hotels. The wifi was good (unlike most hotels) and the bathroom was very clean. Overall we would stay here again and highly recommend it.

"not THAT close to train stations"
Chose this hotel because of convenience and ratings, but 1) the neighborhood isn't that great ( prob it's all like that when close to big stations) but 2) it isn't that close to train station neither ( need 10 min walk or 2 metro stations to gare du nord). As i have big luggages it's not convenient to bring them up and down in metro stairs.

We chose this hotel based on price and nearness to the rail station. However it was still pricey for such a small room. The breakfast was good. The neighborhood was iffy. The "free" wi-fi only worked sometimes. It may have been worth it to spend a little more and be closer to the atrractions.

"Great travelers hotel, but so-so neighborhood"
This hotel is about 15 minutes' walk from Gare du Nord, which is extremely convenient if you're a frequent Eurostar business traveler and often arrive late in the evening before a meeting. The hotel was very cold in atmosphere, it was more like a motel than hotel, it had no heart.....the bed linen was woeful, the room was tired and the hospitality was non existent...

The hotel is very well placed. Staff friendly and rooms where very clean. The only drawback is that if you have themisfortune of needing a car, parking is a nightmare unless you're up VERY early to move it out of "delivery" zone. Occupied a singe room with no bath, but a moidern clean shower. Perfect for me.

I read the reviews and booked the hotel knowing it was not going to be a 5 star hotel. It actually was very nice accomodations and the personnel were helpful. We aere able to store our luggage both prior to checking in as well as when we checked out and were not leavbing until late that evening. "Good choice in the tourist hotel class"
This hotel was a last minute pick because of short notice of a trip to Paris. The price was high because I had no bargaining power to pay in advance or book early. However, this is my new 'favourite'. The bathroom had more space than others I had experienced, breakfast was very good, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs and sausages, a nice selection of cold […] meats, and of course great French bread and pastries. The hotel was generally quiet except for chatty guests who did not realize you don't talk outside your room at normal volume at midnight. They only did this for five minutes but it was annoying. The only downside - the bed was not as comfortable as I have experienced. And the elevator broke down but this happened AFTER we got our luggage to our rooms, otherwise my review would have been quite different. Check-In […] Check-Out without any hassle. If asked for any locations, they even provided us with printouts of the map. The booking was not with Breakfast included hence cannot comment about food. We had triple room booked. I would say it was that we got wrong room. It was at the top and without any balcony or window on walls. The windows were on the slanting roof. But the view was really amazing. Eiffel, Sacre Core were visible from bathroom. Apart from that it was spacious enough, clean, neat and tidy. Location of hotel is perfect. Wasnt a bad hotel, but wasn't a great hotel either...would only recommend staying there if you needed a place walking distance to the train station (Gare de l'Est). The bed took up the entire room, so barely any space to walk around. No toiletries in the bathroom and only 1 large towel and 1 hand towel - the bare minimums. You get what you pay for and if you're expecting plush then don't stay here - but if you're simply wanting a clean, safe and well priced place to sleep and shower - this is a winner. It's about a 2 minute walk from the nearest Metro stop which is just one stop from a major Metro junction (Republique) and that will take you anywhere in Paris in just […] a short time. There is a pub across the road and a 30 second walk down the corner where you can get a drink or a meal after a day on your feet. The hotel is FREE wi-fi not only in the lobby but in the rooms too (a real winner for me) and it's location is bang in the middle of CDG Airport and the City, about a EUR45 taxi ride, traffic dependent. The staff were quite friendly and helpful and although they speak English happily, I'm sure they appreciate a few French words to greet and thank them as we did. I'd stay here again and would recommend this hotel for a budget but not backpacker stay - save your money for other things, assuming you don't want to spend all your time in Paris in your hotel! We arrived to the hotel in the morning and the staff informed us immediately about the storage location for the lbackpacks and the extra restroom facilities with showers in case that we would like to us it. Although the room was not ready what we really needed was a placed for the backpacks, so that worked perfect. The three bedrooms suite that is on […] seventh floor has a nice view and the two bathrooms and that was very convinience. The other three bedroom in the six floor is really small, I will not recommended. There are a lot of restaurants near the hotel and the metro location was great. It was like 50 meters from the hotel. Hotel was clean, price was super cheap, staff was extremely helpful. Within walking distance to Jacques Bonsergent metro station. Cash machine literally right outside of hotel, very convenient. Would definitely stay in hotel again!

I got the room for a 30% discount using the internet websites I reviewed. . The hotel common rooms ,(lounge, reception,dining space ) were well appointed. The rooms were small with inagequate closet space but the bathroom was excellent. Staff was very accomodating and knowledgeable
