Hotel Montanus - Bruges

The hotel was lovely. Nice surprise to a welcoming warm room after a long days journey. It was a 15 min walk from central station and a 5 min walk into the centre of Bruge so a great location. I would stay here again.

Large rooms which are good if you are travelling with a child. They put a spare bed for out toddler and there was still plenty of room. The design and decor of the rooms is nice. Our mattresses were a little uncomfortable - they were lower on one side. Other than that, the rooms were great. The staff said we were welcome to eat in the restaurant in […] the evening with our 2 year old. However, it was full with adults and a bit formal (in a nice way), so we didn't eat there for dinner. For 5 Euros extra we could order room service from the full restaurant menu (one dish was great, one not so great). The breakfast is a bit expensive (18 Euros each), but very good. Lots of nice cheeses, eggs cooked to order, cereals etc. The location is fairly good. It's not right in the very historical part of Bruges or by the canals. However, you only have to walk 2-3 minutes and you're in the very historical parts. And, the street the hotel is nice (i.e. not very modern). There is a car park next door to the hotel, which is very handy. However, make sure you have cash to pay as the credit card machine didn't work and the hotel wouldn't change money or allow us to buy cash with a credit card. Hotel staff were very helpful and they tried to accomodate all requests. They do allow pets so keep this in mind when requesting a room. Complaints are the sheets were linen so could be itchy and the towels although clean would have stains not removed, Would I recommend yes.

Loved the garden - perfect for relaxing between sight-seeing and close enough to come back to for the free tea and coffee. The breakfast was overpriced and the decor was more aesthetic than functional in some respects (the bath taps being hard to reach. fr example) but overall a very nice quirky hotel.

I went to Bruge with a friend for 2 nights while traveling Europe. We got so lucky with the hotel. It was lovely! And Simon who works there planned the most perfect day for us. I would stay again without hesitation! The rooms are a bit small but we spent most our time in their lovely outside lounge.

Super hotel with beautiful gardens and very conveniently situated for the attractions. A few items to grumble about which would have made my score a 5 instead of 4: 1. Upon check in they insist on you producing the confirmation from Hotels.com - I didn't take mine as I've never had to on the previous bookings I have made which caused quite a delay. […] Their paperwork processing needs an overhaul as they should accept electronic communications and why they have to hand write receipts when they have just printed an invoice for me I have no idea - just slows everything down. 2. Our room was not available until 3pm instead of 2pm as per the hotels.com information. 3. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the 'free' tea and coffee is only available from 11am until 6pm - this is the time when we are out doing touristy things so not particularly helpful. On a postive note, they gave us a very handy map and discount card upon check-in. This saved us a few cents. Baca selanjutnya

The Hotel Montanus is clean, sophististicated and well-appointed, The staff are professional, efficient and friendly as well as competent in many European languages. Parking is available for a fee which is hard to come by in Bruges. Good location for walking in the old town but also near to bus routes and the ring-road and tourist information. we had a wonderful stay at Montanus and found the staff friendly and helpful, the room immaculate and the location quiet and ideal. The only disappointment was that the queen bed was actually two singles pushed together. Otherwise all was great.

A lovely hotel. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, the hotel itself was well appointed and spotlessly clean, the location was excellent - close to the tourist spots, but nestled in a quiet side road and the garden area was beautiful. I'd be happy to go back or to recommend it to others.

This small hotel is a wonderful find in the beautiful city of Bruges. It is close enough(5/6min walk) to all the sights but far enough away from any night time noise! All the facilities were excellent with spacious room and comfortable beds. The only problem was the height of the shower head which made showering very awkward. Would like to return in […] warmer weather to take advantage of the lovely gardens. Beautiful chic interiors and a good breakfast. An extra bonus is the large car park at very reasonable rates. Min mand og jeg er lige kommet hjem fra en lille romantisk tur til Brugge. Hotel Montanus var vidunderlig, et skønt lille sted, der har det hele: rene og stilfulde omgivelser, venligt personale. Morgenmaden i restauranten var god, dog en anelse dyr. Central og meget rolig beliggenhed . Det perfekte sted at bo og udforske sådan en smuk by.

Emplacement idéal à 2 pas du centre Bruges. Chambre très calme située au fond du jardin. Accueil impeccable. Hôtel avec un jardin privé (l'un des plus grand de Bruges) où il y fait bon de prendre son petit-déjeuner. Très bel assortiment au buffet petit déjeuner. C'est avec plaisir que nous y reviendrons. Agréable mais plutot un 3 étoiles qu'un 4. On entend parfaitement les voisins du deçu, heureusement les notres étaient calmes . Le Montanus reste un très bel hotel avec un petit déjeuner très agréable. Personnel très accueillant. Le parking de la gare à 10 minutes à pied est à conseiller.

Fint hotell med fin tilpassing mellom gammel og ny bygge stil. Vennlig betjenning, sentralt beliggende midt i gamle byen. Reagerte på relativt høye tilleggskostnader for parkering og frokost.

Petit jardin et cour intérieure appréciable par beau temps. Buffet petit déjeuner très copieux, accueil et serviabilité du personnel très agréable (prêt de parapluie et accès Wifi gratuit). Personnel de la réception francophone. Parking surveillé un peu cher mais possibilité de se garer à la gare ferroviaire à 10mn (2,50€/jour). Seul bémol, lits simples […] collés et non lit double. Bonne situation géographique, environnement très calme, très satisfaits dans l'ensemble. Nous déplorons que le petit déjeuner ne soit pas inclus dans le prix de la chambre et trouvons le parking un peu cher (emplacement non couvert). Mais nous recommandons vivement cet établissement qui offre de bonnes prestations et qui jouit d'un agréable jardin.
