Timberline Motel Saugatuck - Saugatuck

If you're looking for inexpensive, clean and convenient, this is the place. Our biggest issue was the sound that came from the neighboring rooms. We could hear TV's, conversations. They definitely need better sound insulation in the walls and ceilings. The location is very convenient (Just North of the harbor and South of Holland by 10 minutes.

This hotel is severely out-of-date. I felt so uncomfortable that I actually imposed upon a friend at another hotel to stay with him. I will NEVER stay at the Timberline again!!!

When coming to the Saugatuck/Douglas area, you could do far worse than the Timberline. Rates are reasonable, the rooms are plain, but clean, and the facilities (importantly the heat) all work well. The motel is right on Blue Star Hightway, which constitutes the main drag through the area. We'll use it in the future when coming to the area.

The motel is in a good location, not too far from activities and is fine for a short stay, a place to sleep and go for a decent price.

This is an old fashioned motel from the 1950's and provides basic services. The facility is well kept for the age and the pool area is nicely landscaped and inviting. The pool is heated and they have a nice hot tub. The hotel is on the outskirts of Saugatuck, but only a short distance by car to restaurants and shopping. Well cared for grounds and rooms. Carpet a little tatty, but everything else clean. Jacuzzi and heated pool were an unexpected extra. Wish we had more time to use both, but just got to the jacuzzi in the evening. Quite nice. We are walkers, so mile to town was no problem and enjoyed the walk and looking at the lovely landscaped neighborhoods. Coffee was good. A little pricey for the Labor Day weekend, I assume. So it was not the good value it should have been. It was a nice place to stay for our quick visit to Saugatuck. The grounds are delightfully maintained with flowers and landscaping. The room is simple, yet comfortable and very clean. The staff was hardworking, easy-going, and friendly.

While the Timberline isn't the most extravagant motel/hotel, it fit our needs. It was very clean and comfortable. We were just on a little get away to visit Saugatuck and wanted the extra money to spend on our trip, not to pay for a mint on our pillow. The staff was very friendly. Got there at 6 pm or so. Really needed some rest, pulled back the sheets and there was hair on the sheets. They had not been changed from the last guest stay. When mentioned one of the family members that runs hotel promptly changed sheets. The whole family works there. They are very nice people, and I can see how difficult it is for the 4 Of them, […] including the 7th grader to change and clean the rooms. Don't know if they could hire help. Extreme stink coming from area near wastebasket, still present after air freshner and no garbage in container. On the plus the grounds are nice, price is good, pool n hot tub area nice. This is a motel from a bygone era that has been maintained well. The caretakers work tirelessly to maintain the grounds and rooms and although there is nothing fancy, there is really nothing to not like about The Timberline. We especially liked the pool and spa and nicely landscaped surroundings. Make sure that you ask for WiFi if you need it. the grounds are lovely . The room had been updated and was clean, i wil give them that. But the underside of the dreaded bedspread was stained. The tv did not work. The bed felt really old and pillows uncomfortable. So all in all take your chances, it was cleaned but I was not comfortable sleeping there.

I was there for five nights and I found it to be a very pleasant experience. I especially liked the outdoor pool. The staff was helpful. The room was clean. Old school motel out of the 60s. Rooms need renovation immediately. If it wasn't for the awesome pool area and location, people wouldn't stay there. A bit pricey, but location is good. Lots of cool people to meet at the pool.

We could not recommend the hotel. It was noisy, shamefully overpriced, a disgrace for what you are getting. Too many drunken people at the pool, the kids were disgusted what they saw there. We would never stay there again!

I was looking for a hotel reminiscent of Summer trips from years past...and this hotel was exactly that. Also, if you don't want to be in the thick of things in Saugatuck...but close enough to get there quick, this is it. The family running things were extremely nice and when I discovered the room I was in was too far from the wi-fi modem, the gentlman […] went right into action to get a closer room cleaned immediately so I could move. The rooms are dated but very clean and totally adequae. The shower was huge and very clean. The grounds and especially the pool area were wonderful.. The wooded area around the motel is lovely. The surroundings are almost serene. It's a vintage motel with lots of character that brings you back to the time you were a kid vacationing with your parents and sister and brother. The Timberline motel was in the perfet location for us, within easy bike riding distance from all of Saugatuck & Douglas. While it is an old motel we found it to be clean and friendly. The internet didn't work in our room but they did offer us another room at the same rate which was nice but they had a common room to use which was more than sufficient. […] The pool and hot tub were really nice and we'd definitely stay there again. Plenty of hot water . The color schemes are old and teh carpet needs to be replaced. They rent to landscape workers so be prepared to wake up early if there are trucks in the parking lot..

The Motel is a few miles out of town, but not far. It's pretty much what you expect- fairly dated carpenting, etc... I actually thought the place was really clean, the bathroom larger than I expected, and the pool area (outside, heated) was outstanding. I actually enjoyed the place and would stay there again.

Prima Motel. Mooi gelegen vlak bij Saugatuck (als is lopen naar het plaatje zelf wel wat ver). Zwembad en bubbelbad van het hotel waren heerlijk.
