Hilton Garden Inn Portland Airport - Portland

On a quick in-and-out business trip, needed a hotel for overnight. The location was convenient, able to get into town easily, and close to major routes for drive time the next day. Comfortable room.

The hotel met our needs very well. One of our group was flying out at 6am and the hotel shuttle quickly took him to the adjacent airport. We enjoyed the fulll breakfast available in the morning.

Arrived in bad weather the day before my flight out so planned quiet evening relaxing and watching TV. Limited channels, no program guide anywhere (required to download Lodgenet app on my cell phone and pay extra for access to program guide), premium movies of any notoriety $17.99 each. I don't mind paying reasonable costs but seriously...? Problems […] accessing wi-fi because my name had been entered incorrectly, bathroom door locked when I arrived (told to use a quarter to open it)... just expected more from a Hilton. On a positive note, staff was very courteous and helpful and room was immaculate. Location perfect for air travelers. Aggravation and petty costs make me doubt I will stay here again though. I expected fancier, with room service and the pool looks much larger in the picture than it actually is. The room was clean, staff was nice. Pillows are terrible and the bed was not very comfortable even with the adjustable firmness it was not what I expected for the money I paid.

The staff is awesome. No complaints other than one light in the bathroom that didn't work but wasn't really needed.

Loved the proximity to the airport and the availability of the van whenever you need it. Leaving my car there while traveling was great and at no extra charge. Clean, comfy, realiable wake up call. All good!

Hotel and room were clean and modern. Front desk staff were courteous but not overly helpful (didn't tell us about pool, internet, parking, building access, cool variable-snooze feature on the alarm clock, etc.) Walls were a little thin and the periodic plan take-off or landing was noticable but not bothersome. Found the staff very pleasant and helpfull when needed. Facility was clean well kept and convenient location. Breakfast was good and breakfast staff pleasant. Cleaning staff also very pleasant. And. Polite.

breakfast was expensive (11.95)? headboard fell off bed sheets were noisy bed not as nice as albany hotel near airport 24 hour shuttle staff nice- but could not send emails, despite efforts of staff

Very nice little place. We stayed here because it was much cheaper than staying in downtown portland. If you are going to the airport it could be very convenient.

I figured that with the airport run way just across the street we would be hearing planes but we were pleasantly surprised when our room was very quiet. We had a room on the back of the hotel.

Very pleasant stay with my wife in september for a weekend. The hotel staff were all very helpfull and we had no problems at all. The hotel rooms were quiet and clean. Go for the breakfast downstairs in the morning . A good deal.

We had a terrible dinner experience caused by very poor service. Everything about the hotel was what you would expect from a professional hotel of this calibre. Management made adjustments to our bill to compensate for our problems.

The hotel staff were 5 Stars, very accomidating. The beds were very comfortable. The only complaint was that the bathroom smelled like urine, and the shower curtain smelled sour. One of the reviews that I read stated that you could not even hear the airplanes taking off well that was completly untrue you could hear every one of them taking off and  […] landing. The location is great for travelers and the staff members were inviting and friendly. The price for the rooms seems a bit high for Portland, ME.

When I asked for a newspaper to see if the world was still there, they didn't have the local paper but volunteered to send someone to the newstand to get whatever paper I wanted. Way impressive.

Nice hotel and close to the airport. Also close to downtown Portland - short drive. Breakfast included so that was a nice plus. Very friendly staff.

Very nice and clean... Welcoming atmosphere and the hotel provided a portable crib. However breakfast was not included...for me. I think the price of hotel is little expensive. Somewhat more than nyc... I dont get it why

The hotel is very close to the airport. Surprisingly you never hear jet noise ! The staff at every level in the hotel are friendly and professional. Were I return to Portland Maine I would certainly stay there again.

We requested a non-smoking room, but our room smelled as though they used a very strong floral room freshener to try to cover up the smell of smoke. The bathroom was filthy. Overall, the hotel had a general appearance of being poorly kept. We were grateful our stay was less than 8 hours! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room clean and quiet. Close to the airport with shuttle service so it came in handy for my morning flight out.The only carry pepsi products so if you're a coke person better pick one up before you get to the hotel.

The first room I was given upon checking in reeked of cigarette smoke. When I asked to be changed to a non-smoking room (which is what I reserved,) he said that the room given to me IS non-smoking, and at the opposite end of the hall as the smoking rooms. Seemed annoyed to have to switch me. The room he moved me to was a handicap-accessible room that […] smelled of mildew. I kept it without complaining, but the shower head was of course at chest level.
