This is the third time my wife and I have stayed here. It was quiet and comfortable as always.

"Great bed, newish interior, HD TV but..."
Good - Nice and newer interior, clean and bed very comfortable. Digital thermostat worked perfect. (rare) Bad - Noticed neighbor room service tray left outside room for hours. The TV was flat screen HD but cable system was poor reception/pixelated the entire time. Wifi speeds VERY SLOW like a dial-up modem even in lobby. Internet is NOT free, and breakfast […] is charge unless specifically included in rate. Overall good experience, but paid hefty rate due to SXSW festival week. Baca selanjutnya

"Austin Marriott South - Christmas 2011"
This hotel was wonderful. We stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas day & the staff, though smaller than usual, was absolutely delightful. They went out of their way to make us feel special. The room was comfortable & clean. We will stay there again the next time we have need to stay in Austin.

"Nice comfortable stay"
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The front desk provided a copy of the Austin Statesman upon request. The elevator made an annoying beeping noise the first night but the front desk fixed it within 5 minutes. My wife and I had a great stay.
"Nice hotel, but..."
Nice hotel, but we were disappointed in the way they did breakfast. We purchased a room upgrade to include breakfast, but when we arrived at the restaurant we were told we would have to pay an extra $4 each for the breakfast buffet. We apparently purchased what (I think) was called the American Breakfast, which was something specific on their menu, […] not the generic name for a typical American breakfast. I WILL definitely be staying at this hotel again. It was clean, comfortable, the lobby and hotel were decorated beautifully. I was actually surprised at how luxurious the hotel was for the price! My guest and I loved it!
"South Austin Marriott, very convenient"
This is a typical Marriott, in very good shape and well run. Location in South Austin just off I 35 is convenient to One World Theater, as well as all the fun things to do in Austin, without the drama and hassle of downtown Austin traffic.
This was a cute place. A friend and I needed a place to stay after a long days drive. This ended ip being one of the best stays. Very clean.

"I will not return to Marriott South"
I was not happy with the hotel. Our room temperature was not adequate. We were uncomfortable for the two days we were there. We reserved two rooms a week in advance and requested 2 double beds for both rooms. We were told that we were not guaranteed that and they only had a king. once i explained that i had two adult siblings that were not willing to […] share a king bed, they switched their room to a double bed. My husband and I have a 7 year old daughter and were expected to all sleep in the "king" bed. It is not a kind size bed. the double beds are glorified twin beds at best. My husband slept in the chair and I slept in the bed with my daughter. We had only wanted to get a hotel that we could sleep and not hang out because we were spending more time at my sister's house during the day. We will not return to this hotel. Baca selanjutnya

bathroom was tiny and it was difficult to get in the bathroom door - toilet was too close; didn't find the hair dryer until we were packing to leave (it was in the closet); refrigerator in room was a plus; very friendly staff.

"Marriott-South"
My only complaint is that during my stay there were a number of motorcycle riders staying at the hotel at the same time. My room was above the main entrance and the motorcycles were very loud coming and going at late hours.

We booked 3 rooms. Two rooms were perfect the 3rd room had no hot water and the air conditioner did not work. Also, there was road construction in front of the hotel & getting in and out was very difficult.

hotel and staff were very nice. I was not satisfied that upon arrival a room with a king sized bed was not available and I had to have one with 2 queen beds, which I'm not sure they were even queen sized. However, the next morning I stopped by the front desk and requested them to see if I could get a room with a king sized bed, after a couple of minutes […] to check, the person was very accommodating and stated one would be ready for me within a couple of hours. After returning from a trip away from the hotel, I checked with the front desk and the room with the king bed was ready. A bellhop arrived at my room right away to assist in relocating my luggage. He was extremely friendly and pleasant. The hotel was hard to find - I had to call twice to get directions. It seemed a bit pricy for the hotel. "stay away"
got my truck broke in to they stole everything manager did nothing for me to help parking and security is very poor thousands of dollars of stereo system and clothes gone thx a ton marriot
"Almost Great"
Great location for our purposes. The staff were very accommodating. Room was very comfortable. Only negative was the requested "light" blanket that was brought to the room felt more like a disposable "brick" of a blanket and the ice machine on our floor was not working. I'm sure these things will be fixed before my next visit.

"Nice hotel not so nice highway noise"
The room was nice.. but the hotel put us on the west site of the hotel.. that happned to be the side of the LOUD interstate highway. Traffic was very loud all night. Not a good place to sleep.. Over all the room was very clean. One spot on the floor was noticed. The bed was a great sleep.

First visit to Austin and I believe this was a much better stay than the Downtown location. Access is right at the main highway 35 and within 5 minutes of many attractions including Downtown Austin. Loved the hotel. Staff made beautiful recommendations for local eateries, wine shops, etc.

"Hotel stay"
Hotel was great! The second night we were there before leaving to go out for the night we checked out the bar area. The bartender there was rude and to the point to where I would honestly not want to stay there again. That really saddens me to even say that because everyone else that works there was just so extremely helpful and polite. The pool area […] was unkempt with wet towels and standing water around the walking areas. The rooms were wonderful and very clean. Front Desk was so helpful. It was a very nice hotel with a very good location with a friendly staff, I did wish it had free internet service (wired or wireless) but other than that it was a very agreeable stay at a great price. We did enjoy our stay.

We had a wonderful experience. Everyone was so nice and very helpful. The rooms were great. The only downfall was the pillows, which wasn't a big deal at all, just not comfy. We had planned to 'go out on the town' at night, but found ourselves having a few drinks before hand in the hotel bar and never leaving. It was just a great atmosphere so we stayed. "Marriott stay in Austin"
Hotel was nice and clean and pretty close to all places around town we needed to go. I like the garage parking that was free and kept us dry since it was raining when we got there.It was good.

"Needs to be forthcoming about repairs"
We stayed there for the weekend of 10/10/09. We were unaware the exterior was in various stages of repainting and many of the exterior windows were covered in plastic so that you couldn't see out. The hotel staff did not explain this until when we were assigned a room. We had to request two room changes before obtaining a room that allowed sunlight […] in. In addition, even the hotel staff advised against taking a room that faced Highway 71, saying they often receive complaints about highway noise from guests in those rooms. "problems at check-in"
check in time was 3:00pm the room was not ready. Took 2 hours for them to clean room before I could check in. Front desk was not helpful and did not offer apology. Other than that hotel was good.
