American Host Motel - Yarmouth Barat

Great hotel for the price. The room was clean, bed comfy and service was excellent. Breakfast, although nothing fancy, was fair with hot coffee, cereal, and muffins. Our request for extra pillows was attended to immediately. The kids enjoyed the heated indoor pool.

It was the absolute best price over the internet for a one night stay. It was worth the price. Our primary goal was a reasonable overnight room. The be was comfy. And even though we didn't partake,there were some sweets and cereal for breakfasts. Other people gave this place a bad rap. However, they did prepare me to bring my own shampoo.

Was very disapointed, the office personal had no personality what so ever, as far as working with the public, We arrived to find that the jacuzzi was out of order, one thing I was looking forward to. The room was in somewhat decent shape other than the remote for tv was broken, reported it to the office waited 2 hours for someone to check it out, ended […] up having to change rooms because tv was messed up, the bed had flat rather than a fitted sheet on it, with a mattress protector that was made for a double bed on a king, so only half the mattress was covered, I had thought to bring my own linen which we used on top of bedspread, the pool was clean and relaxing, Over all the ole saying is you get what you pay for, the price was worth the stay..... NO shampoo or hair dryers. Breakfast was white bread and weak coffee. Very unattractive place. Swimming pool more like a goldfish bowl.

I think the cleanliness of the room could have been much better. The room is fine for just an overnighter but not for a weeks vacation. The people in the main office were very pleasant. I was surprised as there was no shampoo in the room as I forget to pack for my trip.

Check in went fast but not overly friendly,It rained at night and getting into the car we had to step in puddles,poor drainage.When we checked out we gave him the room key cards and he said we were all set,he did not ask how our stay was or have a nice day or come back soon.

That's all you get so don't expect shampoo, soap or even a coffee maker. Just be fortunate if you get 2 pillows and a mattress. Tub was dirty. A dirty towel left on the bed. Toilet ran all night. Probably wanted to run out of there as well.

I knew we were in trouble when as we pulled up we saw a man on his knees pulling dust and filth out of a vacuum cleaner more than 30 years old. While they clearly vacuum daily and use strong chemicals to clean daily, it cannot cover up the smell of urine. The rugs are so old that you know no matter what it is filthy, especially with an old ineffective […] vacuum cleaner. The ONLY thing going for this place is location and price. I thought I was going to gag. Thank God it was only one night. never again. There is also what appears to be Section 8 housing/long term tenants there. The staff was super nice and accomodating. It's not a luxurious place, but exactly what you need, very clean, and so close to downtown hyannis. We loved it.

Cool, old-school. Quaint. We had to wait half an hour for our room to be ready when we had a reservation so they knew we were coming way in advance. That was pretty annoying, especially in the evening when you are tired already. Bot otherwise it was good.

Room clean and nice, well maintained. Swipe key kept not working and had to be reconfigured at office regularly, that was pretty annoying but otherwise we were happy. Nice location too.

Okay for the price, I stayed here for one night. They advertise as they have complementary breakfast, but it is pathetic food arranged on tiny table. No place to sit and eat breakfast, you need to carry your breakfast to your room. Provide good wireless internet. Recommend if you are looking for cheap motel for one night.

HE SENT 1 ASHTRAY I ASKED FOR ANOTHER, THE CLERK ASKED HOW MANY I SAID 1 MORE, THE CLERK SAID THERE WERE NO MORE ?! SO, WHY ASK ME HOW MANY I WANTED ? THE CEILING AROUND ARE DUSTY, ROOM DOOR JAMS ARE FALLING APART, IT HAS BEEN PAINTED IN MAYBE 50 YRS. IF YOU JUST WANT SOME PLACE TO PUT YOUR THINGS AS IN STORAGE OK, BUT NOT A COMFORTABLE STAY. I went for a road trip in New England states, the hotel is the ugliest & yet I paid more than the other hotel. My reservation is for 4 people, yet they charged me extra $10.00 per day per person for my 2 kids. I told them that I reserved for 4 people w/ Hotel.com, The desk guy said that Hotel,com does not know anything & if I want I can go somewhere […] else, it was eleven o clock at night, no choice I paid the extra $10.00. My husband and I stayed here for one night, the front desk clerk was very nice and very helpful in giving us tips as to where to eat and where to shop. The room was smoke free and it was very clean. went there for pool and hot tub to have a romantic weekend with my honey but when we went to use the hot tub it was out of order and the pool was freezing. we also had trouble with the doors sticking even when the green light was on....so getting in or out of the room was difficult and annoying. wont be back.

If you want a room on the Cape that is not expensive, and don't expect a five star hotel, than American Host is the place to stay. The room we had was clean, the tiles in the bathroom had a few chips in them but the bathroom was clean. The shower curtain could have used a good washing but it wasn't the worst I have seen. The continental breakfast does […] leave a lot to be desired. If you don't mind just coffee and very small cinnamon rolls than you have a breakfast for kings. It is okay if you just want something quick until you get someplace else for a big breakfast. The rooms do not have all the amenities that most places have so bring your own hairdryer if you need one. The rooms do have a refrigerator. As I said, if you are just looking for a clean place to lay your head, and aren't looking for a 3-5 star place to stay, American Host is a nice enough place on the Cape to stay. the room was not clean and needed repairs. There was a hole punched in the bathroom door and smaller holes in the walls. Carpet was worn and filthy. The blanket had cigarette burns in it.
