We were here for a family gathering at my brother's home. We didn't want to be crowded with a lot of people so we opted to stay at a hotel. The best decision ever! The place was clean, right off the highway, and quiet. We were right outside the basketball court, but couldn't hear anything. Nice hotel, clean and comfortable but, the cleaning agents they used were detracted from the comfort of the room. Took days for the smell of what ever cleaning agents they used to get out of my sinuses.

Not a bad place to stay. Staff was friendly and it was quiet. The neighborhood had a bit to be desired of and there seemed to be quite a few sketchy folks around. Overall, great place to crash for a night or 2 in North Austin.

Everything was perfect. If i was to complain, I dont have anything to complain about. The only items I would suggest - at times the garbage containers at the end of the hall were very full. An added perk would be to replenish the coffee maker with more coffee, other hotels we stayed at, when the cleaned the rooms, the coffee maker was replenished with […] more coffee, and more soap in the bathroom. But these are really minor, just a suggestion to make it even better. Staff were great, always welcomed us when we returned every day. One day I did ask for a softer pillow and more towels - the staff were really nice and helpful. Lots of tv chanels. Even a lazy boy chair. Had a full fridge was convenient to store our leftovers. We noticed the breakfast you had downstairs, we planned on trying it, but we didnt get a chance to try it, but it did look appealing. I would definately stay here again! Hallways smell of smoke. small closed in lobby. Interesting folks wandering the halls. non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Unwanted Su AM wakeup call - people playing basketball 30 yards from room.

Hotel was fine with one exception...the train that came by blowing its horn at 1am and 3am.

Overall the experience was great. The staff was friendly and professional, rooms clean and well stocked with amenities, towels, kitchen stocked with basic essentials, just a nice place, especially if staying for several days.

My stay at CandleWood was horrible I checked in around 11:00 pm I had a long drive and was needing some good rest. Around 3am the smoke detector in our room went off for about 1 minute. Waking out my sleep with an alarm that loud reminded me of my time in Iraq and Afghanistan, which wasn’t good. I called the front desk to ask for assistance and got […] none. The gentleman hung up in the middle of the conversation after I explained what happened, so I called back and ask to speak to management. He advise me management was out until Monday and there was nothing he could do. About 6:00 am the smoke detector when off again so I called the front desk and asked what could he do to make this right, once again I received no assistance. The smoke detector went off again at 8:00 am and 10:00 am this time when I called the front desk I received Mandy who was helpful and apologetic. I even explained that I took the battery out of the smoke detector and it still went off that many times. I’ve stayed at your property several times and always had a wonderful experience however based on my current experience I doubt ill be staying there ever again. Close to my business location -good. The location between I35 and a heavily used very loud rail cargo (5 am to midnight) made it difficult to sleep for more than a few hours at a strech - very bad. A mini shop in the hotel (24 x 7) helped with the absolut basics- good. I.e. the night shift had no clue of anything besides the basic hotel affairs - bad. […] But, next morning everything was sorted out even before I contacted the manager - good! Bath room was very clean, towels were great - very good. Room was large, clean and the kitchenette allowed to store a lot of things - good. Window could be opened a few inches allowing for fresh air to come in - very good! Queen bed was confortable and pillow could be selected - good. Lots of parking lots, even when the hotel was booked out no problem in finding space even when I returned late (around midnight) - good. All in all a comfortable stay, but don't expect any extras. The front desk charged me, even though I was charged through Hotel.com. When I made her aware of it she blamed me by saying I didn't tell her I had a reservation although she had all of my information.

Brought granddaughter to meet great grandmother for the first time and thought spending the night would make for an easier trip. Found Candlewood Suites online. The small kitchenette was a big plus. The rate was very reasonable too, I thought. Slept great--very comfortable queen size bed. Cooking in the room saved us time and money. The location was […] prime for us. Very easy access on and off of I-35. The staff member that checked us in was very helpful. I will definitely stay here again. And I've already told some of my friends about it. Noticed several amenities that would be a definite plus with a longer stay as well. A small gym with exercise equipment and a guest laundry. All in all a very satisfactory experience. We have used this hotel before and have nothing but good things to say about. Close to restuarants and shopping. Only complaint I have was that this time our room was across from the elevator, and we heard everyone as they exited to go to their rooms. If you stay here, make sure to get a room away from the elevator. I will stay here again.

This was a clean, convenient hotel. The staff was nice but a little forgetful. We asked for extra pillows & coffee as we were heading out for the day. They had not been provided by the end of the day. I had to get them from the front desk. Our room was not cleaned during our four day stay. We were told upon check in that your room would be cleaned every […] other day. Since we were not in the room except to sleep that was OK. The room did have a nice full size fridge. That comes in very handy in the Texas heat. Other than that I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good, clean affordable place to stay. The front desk staff did state that you could get your room cleaned upon request. You can also get towels and linens daily if you want to bring them down for a change out. Very Basic hote!!! Suites are with only basic facilities. No breakfast - price is too high for this hotel. They do not arrange the room at all during stay - only if you stay more than a week. They do not clean the room at all during this time. For the price you can get much better deal. Don't go to this hotel.

Room was spacious and quiet. Mattress was a little too soft and hall carpet shows its age but all in all, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved having full size fridge in room so we could eat/snack at will. Would definitely stay here again. Great value.

This reservation was for a suite and boy was it nice! Very clean and comfortable. It was like a mini apartment. I wish my stay could have been a little longer!

It fit my need. I did notice the complaints about the train. These must be from light sleepers. The train is a block or so away, and runs very seldom. I think I heard it once.... but didn't bother me. Maybe those comments came from trainophobes - or people who live alone on an island the rest of the year?

Hotel was good place to stay. The bed could use some uprgrading. The only downside to the hotel is location. Its between exits and if your coming 45 toll road you have to loop back around on some side streets.

Hotel had a nice appearnace. Room was clean. The only issue was that there are train tracks nearby. The train came through a couple times during the night.

I wouldn't recommend for anyone to stay at this hotel during spring break. I didn't get the customer service I deserved.

I was no wast happy with the way the reservation was handled. I was not tolled that candlewood suite did not have rooms with two queen size beds. I had one queen size bed and a sofa that let out into a full size bed.I changed my reservation check out date and I was still was charged for three nites.The location and everything else was ok.

The room was wonderful, exactly what one could expect given the cost of the room, the locale, and the description of the room. Small kitchenette type suite. The mattress was not the best, but was bearable. The temperature outside was only 80 degrees and with the a/c running at its highest setting, it took about 10 hours for the room to finally cool […] down. The oppressively hot room for the first 10 hours and then the blanket that was as heavy as a lead apron for the remainder made it very difficult to sleep. unfortunately I will not be able to stay when I travel with my dad to see my son. There is no double beds or queens. I would advice to change that in order to provide extra services in this hotel. But for a single person...it is awesome to stay at.
