Antara pilihan menjamu selera di tempat peranginan ialah restoran berserta dengan kedai kopi atau kafe. Sarapan percuma disajikan setiap pagi. "Not the beachside resort we expected"
Beachside it is, but the beach sand is grainy and there are no beach cabanas, no chaise lounges or no food and beverage services provided. Location is at the end of the beach. Found the complaints online of speedboats, jet skis and other water sports true- noisy, smell of petrol, operating dangerously close to swimmers. I didn't find the beach locals […] and even the hotel staff respectful of our privacy. We found them rudely gawking at women that wore bikinis and even when my sister did yoga by the pool at 8am by staff! surprised as penang has been a tourist spot since I was a kid and we were not dressed provocatively or trying to attract attention. For this, I'd rather go to Bali or even Hainan island! We had to walk to lone pine hotel down the beach to be able to enjoy some nice soft sand to lie and lay our towels on. Beach water is not clear and blue but opaque and brown from silt. Hotel itself is old, we rented two rooms, one was nicely refurbished the other though not updated has an impressive view of the pool and garden. "Great staff"
We stayed at the Rasa Sayang in Penang. We were upgraded to the Rasa Wing which was a beautiful and very spacious room. The staff were uniformly exceedlingly friendly and helpful. It was great.
"Rasa Stay"
The hotel does not compare with other 5 * hotels we have stayed at. The rooms look dated (no flat screen tv) and our room smelled of damp. When we complained we were asked to wait for the manager to arrive (2 hours) and were then asked if we wanted to pay to upgrade...I don't think is very customer focussed.

If you want to experience paradise, just visit Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa in Penang, Malaysia. I brought my daughter with me for a conference in KL Malaysia and decided to take the ½ hour flight to Penang as Frommer’s said it was the Pearl of Malaysia. Air Asia offers flights from KL to Penang for 29 dollars or less depending on the season. […] Well the real Pearl is Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang. The resort has impeccable service, incredible rooms, every amenity you could imagine and the Spa is like none other. For Americans the stay is very economical compared to resorts in the US (1/3 the price of a US 5 star hotel). If you have an abundance of air miles use them to stay at this resort. I suggest at least a week. It will take you that long to experience all the wonderful things this resort has to offer. We stayed in the Garden wing, which is wonderful. There is a more exclusive side called the Rasa wing but we were not able to see a room. I wanted to ask, but felt I would look like an idiot. The lagoon pool is my favorite. I have stayed at numerous resorts around the world and Shangri-La has built the best pool. The staff remembers everything about you so you feel like your visiting a large family when you are here. It was great to meet and talk with people from Australia, Japan, Malaysia and the Middle East. There is even a lady from Italy who comes here every year for a month in the summer with her daughter. One of the staff brings her daughter to work so the teens hang out together. What a life. I hate reviews that mislead the readers so I had to add this one so that you know you get much more than you expect and when it is time to leave you will be sad. Baca selanjutnya
"Great Hotel"
Excellent service. The most I like is their bathroom. Everything is so comfy in the room. I didn't go out of the hotel because it has all I need.
"Well worth a stay"
We stayed here for 2 nights as a treat for my birthday whilst in Penang and I would definately go back. No other hotel during out holiday in Malaysia even came close to the Shangri La for service, comfort and surroundings. If I had an issue, it would be that our room was not cleaned until very late, and the mini bar was never replenished.

海はクラゲがいるみたいでしたので、入りませんでした。 ビーチは公共ビーチなので、きれいな方ではありませんでした。（日本のメジャーな所よりはきれいです） ビーチサイドレストラン、ルームサービスもそれほど高くはなく、種類が豊富と思います。部屋や外のシャワーの水圧も十分でしたが、部屋のトイレの水が一度流すと、たまるまで時間を要したので、メンテナンスが必要と思います。 子供用の室内アクティビティあり、ホテルの前には店や、レストランがあるので便利だと思います。
"のんびりしたい人には向いています"
ガーデンウィングの低層の部屋からの眺めが圧巻です。早朝猿やリスがヤシの上から戯れて、熱帯地方の鳥の鳴き声がバカンスを実感させてくれます。プールも空いていて、思いっきり遊べます。このホテルの系列の安いホテルが隣にありますが、そっちのプールが込んでいて、日蔭が全くなく、灼熱地獄になっています。少々高くても絶対こっちのほうがお薦めです。朝ごはんもおいしく、ラサウィングの二階にはマレーシアで有名なステーキハウスがあるので、アジアリゾートホテルの贅沢三昧を堪能できます。（キッチンとした服装を用意）ただ売店の品揃いが悪く高いので、必要な日焼けローションなど持っていたほうがいいです。チェックアウトする日の朝ごはんの注文を忘れられて、風呂の水詰まりで修理に時間がかかったのは玉にきずですが、トータルにしては満 […] 足していますので、また行きたいホテルです。 Baca selanjutnya
