Wildwood Inn Theme Suites - Florence

It's older and you can tell that the equipment isn't state of the art but it's clean and my 5 yr. old thought it was amazing.It was perfect as a little bonus to a business trip. Rooms are basic but Tropical Dome Area is a good time and also clean. Very friendly staff!

The hotel room that appears on the hotel website was not the same as the room we were assigned. The condition of the furniture and fixtures was very poor. We selected the hotel based on the pictures of the Tropical Dome (pool area). We have children and thought it would be fun for them. it was an ok visit, we have stayed there before. it would be better if they would put an atm in the hotel somewhere. the water was a little chillier than it has been in the past. and the baby pool water was unbearably cold.

Fruit flies in room, we had to take out our own trash and trade out our towels, our room was not ready at check in time, only good thing was the HOTT tub. Pool was cold because doors were all left open. We were disappointed.

When we went to check in they said we were being upgraded to a pool side room. I had booked a pool side room anyway. When I told them that they said that they are a different kind of hotel and to book through them next time. We got to our room and it was clean. I was expecting something a little nicer. The next morning the shower rod came down in my […] head while I showered. They moved us to a much nicer room. Overall it was a pleasant stay. The breakfast was good. We stayed one night here while attending a conference in a nearby town. I had read reviews and was already expecting the hotel to be bad. However, bad does not even begin to describe this place. I gave it a 2 only because the staff is friendly, the pool area is nice, specially for children, and the complimentary is adequate, although the breakfast room […] is dirty. pool was nice, everything else was NASTY

My stay there was horrible. One be was so sunk in it was horrible!! There was a hole in the wall! The shower didn't have a knob. HAIR WAS EVERYWHERE! And the remote was broken. Will not stay again

My husband and I were in dyer need of a get away and the special for the Wildwood popped up. My husband seen the picture of the room he wanted us to get, which was the Heart shaped spa tub room with a King bed. It looked completely beautiful. We pulled up and it looked like a run down Motel that catered to drug addicts and prostitutes. My husband went […] in and got the key to the room 141 and when we opened up the door the stinch that came out truly disgusted me. On top of that the furniture was not updated, not clean and things falling apart. So we went to the front desk to ask for another room and was giving room 147, opened that door and low and behold the bed was messed up as someone had been in there a few minutes ago with the same moldy, stale smell. So, again we go back to the desk and both attendants looking at us like we were crazy when we told them what we just seen at the last room. So my husband states look, we don't even need to have a spa room, do you have anything else that's up to date and clean? The two men are going back and forth about rooms 101 or 105 I politely interupted and just ask WHICH ONE WOULD YOU SLEEP IN?!?!? He said 101 that's were we ended up on the pool side and that was up to date, clean, new furniture tile carpet and bed. No smell nothing. However, that isn't what we reserved. My husband and I have stayed at the Wildwood Inn once before with no problems, and expected this stay to also be uneventful. We had a longer than usual check in, as the hotel staff was trying to convince my husband to upgrade to a more expensive room, but were only willing to credit part of the payment we had already made for our room (something about […] them only receiving part of the money?). There were also several problems with the keys randomly not opening doors they should have, the 'breakfast' was a joke, and the breakfast area is currently (with a VERY dusty sign) under renovations, but overall our stay was fine. The day we returned home, I developed a rash. I thought it was the chlorine from the hot tub and treated it with moisturizer, but by the next day it was clear something else was going on. I spent $100 on medications and insurance copays because of an allergic reaction to bedbugs. I then spent another $150 treating my house just to be safe (even though it was clear to my doctor, due to my extreme reaction, that I was not getting new bites, and therefore didn't have them in my home). I understand that there is a bedbug epidemic in this country, especially among hotels. I also checked the mattress and sheets as you are supposed to do, and since I did not see evidence of a long term infestation I suspect that this was a new infestation brought to the hotel recently. My problem with the situation is that NO ONE at the hotel has responded AT ALL to my emails. Bad things happen, especially in this sort of industry, but being ignored when a complaint of this type is made is just unacceptable. I have already cancelled our plans to reserve the 'pirate room' for our boys, and will be looking for alternative accommodations for return trips. This is not a cheap hotel, in fact it is one of the most expensive in the area (a suburb of Cincinnati) and the overall service experience was on par with what I would expect from a pay-by-the-hour rat trap. I was gifted from my bestfriend a nites stay at Wildwood Inn (purchased through Hotels.com) which I assumed would be over the top even in the regular rooms. I wasn't disappointed of the room but of the service in which I received (the bed was over the top comfortable). When checking in, I was not informed of the free wifi (which had a very weak signal […] in my room) nor was I treated as if my visit was worth an effort because the attendant was more concerned with his friends that were hanging around the desk. When I got my room, it was clean but cold which I understood because the room was booked at the very last minute before I checked in. But the running water in the bathroom tub was never hot, just luke warm so I could not enjoy my time of solitude and relax in a hot tub. The tv remote did not have batteries in it & then the remote that was used as a replacement did not turn the tv off/on or the volume up or down. My parents always spend a yearly weekend at the hotel in a themed room so I was expecting the first class service they received. I can't say that it was first class in my visit. Baca selanjutnya

I was expecting for the hotel experience at Wildwood inn to be awesome but what I got was just ok. Although I had a standard room, it did feel quite comfortable (beds& cleanliness). The biggest issue I had was that there was luke warm water for taking baths/ showers. It was a birthday gift to stay in the hotel & I wanted the luxurious experience but […] didn't receive it because of the lack of hot water & the fact the tv remote only changed the channel & not the volume or on/off. The staff at the front desk when I checked in was more concerned with his friends that was there then informing me of the free internet service or to inform me of the condition of the room (it was freezing). my kids loved the pool

The room to which we were originally assigned had an A/C Heating unit that made lots of noice and appeared to be malfunctioning. We requested another room and were located 2 rooms down the hall. It appeared to be the result of pulling things from one room to the next. I would have expected a much better hotel than what I saw. First, when I booked the hotel it said there was a jacuzzi tub in the room, this turned out to be wrong, there was a regular tub/shower. The cleanliness of the hotel left a lot to be desired, and it had a weird odor to it. We had a non-smoking room, and the rooms around us were non-smoking as […] well, yet people would prop the doors open to the outside and sit on the stairs and smoke, which led to the smell of cigarette smoke in the hotel hallway and our room, not to mention it set off the fire alarm several times, which woke me up. The continental breakfast was a joke, they served stale cereal, doughnuts and a mile long line for the waffle maker, and all of this took place in an abandoned hotel room in the middle of a hallway. Needless to say, I will never again stay at this hotel and I will not recommend anyone stay at this hotel either. I would have been better off staying at a cheap motel down the road. Asked for non-smoking room. first room semelled like cigarettes and the shower wall was all caved in. The second room smelled like cigatettes and even had a cigarette butt in top of the refrigerator. We finally settled into the third room. The towels are thread bare and in general the place needs a lot of work. Very disappointed.

Very nice experience, can't wait to stay in a themed room!

The hotel and the room was very clean and no bed bugs. It was the most enjoyable hotel that we have stayed in. We've been to alot of hotels thru-out the U.S. and we lived in LasVegas, Nev. for 8 years, but this is the place we've evered stayed out.

Everything was good. however, the internet is so bad that I have too bad that I couldn't work and I left the hotel the same day.

The website says that the "Run of the House" block of rooms has jetted tubs. False. They are regular sized tubs and are not jetted. The rooms were cheap and the breakfast was very basic. The hotel could be a lot nicer with quality maintenance.

I would say it was an average stay. room a little run down, Yes it really smelled like smoke in the non-smoking room. If you get the really cheap deal, it is worth the price. Maybe spend a few extra $$$/night somewhere else may be better.

Needs a paint job, has some broken windows that need to be replaced, pool was small and crowded, staff was not in uniform and acted as if you were interrupting their tv show when trying to ask them something

The pic are nice but ole so wrong. The swimming area was 100 degree the air condition did not work the motel/hotel was dirty hot the halls smelled of urine the bedding and mattress where old stained and sunk in the middle this place need to be cleaned remodeled I would not recommend this place and worst of all I checked the bed bug register this place […] was listed a couple time. We were in the main building with the pool. The pool is very nice. The kids had a great time. However, getting to the pool was an adventure. The hallways are enclosed in glass with a few windows here and there. But the window AC units vent into the hallways, so if you have a hot day, it is very hot. The hotel did have some cleaning issues, but for the money we paid i didn't expect the works. The pool was clean and my daughter loved it and that was what mattered most!! The staff was very nice but the rooms seem to be going down hill. I have lived in that area for most of my life and this motel was very nice. I feel they just need to update the surrounding pool area rooms.

This was the worst night I had in a hotel ever. They advertise a tropic dome (indoor pool), well it is tropic. Granted it was a hot weekend, the dome was not climate controlled.We paid extra for a poolside room. Big mistake, the room exited into the dome which was about 110 degrees. The pool was nice, but that was where it stopped. We got into our room […] and the staff was so thoughtful to not have turned the a/c on for us with outside temps around 98 degrees. Hard bed, flat pillows, paper thin towels, the a/c unit sounded like a freight train, no hot water, we slept about 3 hrs the night we stayed. I spoke with the desk which offered to move us to a similiar room. No thanks, we forfeited our second night and changed hotels. I will never go back or say anything positive about this place. This hotel have a lot of potential if the owners invest on maintenance, landscaping, and rooms upgrades. Beds were OLD and UNCOMFORTABLE!!! Bottom line, you see neglect on every corner of this establishment.

The internet definitely enhances this Hotel's reputation. You are greeted by an overpowering odor as soon as you enter the room. So we went to WAL-MART and purchased cleaning/spraying pooducts. We had the King Bed with heart shaped Spa and I must say that it was quite amazing after thorughly bleaching it down. I believe we really only paid for the Flat […] screen tv, heart shaped spa tub and the swimming area. The only good thing is the swimming entrtainment in the front of the hotel. The rooms leave alot to be desired and are very dated. The bed sank about three inches and I needed help to get up, lol. No matter how much you spray, the odor comes back quickly to say hello again. Wildwoods' regular room are like motel rooms, but I don't think that is why you go there. The place is great for kids and close enough to Cincy to be convenient. The themed rooms looked cool, the regular rooms and most public areas are kind of a dump, but my five year old could of cared less!
