The hotel was fine, the service friendly but we had a big disappointment: We chose the hotel because it showed a shuttle service to and from the airport. The shuttle service is only for a package deal, very disappointing! It added a third to the price. "Shuttle" should be stricken from their ad.It's a misrepresentation. HS

It was a very nice and clean room. No upkeep issues. Very comfortable, but the room was very small. The queen bed and fold out sleeper sofa left a tight path to walk through. But we stayed just for sleeping through the night, so it was fine. The staff spoke very good English, so no communication problems. The breakfast was very nice. It included coffee, […] tea, water, or milk; fresh sliced meats, fresh breads, hard boiled eggs, cold cereals, and fruit. It was all wonderful. In the morning, they had a shuttle to the airport for five euros per person, which saved us about six euros over a taxi. Also there was a McDonalds just a couple blocks away. What good is a security camera when no hotel staff is looking at it? People loitering around the hotel area preying on hotel guest belongings. There was this guy who was walking around the breakfast area for at least 20 mins trying to steal my briefcase (saw in the video the guy tried 4-5 times but was unsuccessful as I was alert each time he tried […] even though I didn't realised what he was trying to do, unfortunately I left the table to get a drink and my friend opposite me looked away for 1 sec) and finally succeeded and walk out of the hotel. Also I requested for an iron for 3 days straight and still I didn't manage to get it. As for the pillows, if its just soft, i can understand and accept as some people like soft pillows but lumpy?? we like our stay at this hotel, they have rooms for the family of four.Rooms are very small, but clean and comfortable,free very good breakfast. To reach the hotel from Dusseldorf airport you need to take train S1 your station is Derendorf (second one), then turn left from the train station and walk about 7-10 minutes to the hotel. (it will be behind […] a huge Mersedes dillership) McDonalds restaurant will be at your right hand.It is a good hotel with frendly stuff, nice bar, free( in lobby) internet,in a quet lokation. The staff and breakfast were excellent. The facility was clean, but looked industrial. Parking was a challange. Not bad for an overnight when location near the airport is important.

Nice hotel. Decent location. About 5 minute walk to public transportation. Unfortunately there are not any decent restaurants within walking distance. Food breakfast selection. No wi-fi in rooms, but free in lobby, not very strong signal though.

Our family (two adults and two kids) stayed for a night, in-between flights (between the US and southern Europe). This was our second time in two years, and we stayed at this hotel because of the good experience we had the first time. The hotel and staff are great. The price is very good (and includes a very good breakfast) and the hotel's location […] allows for a short walk downtown. It was what we needed and expected. Check in service was very good and friendly - Amin was very helpful with finding us a place to eat in walking distance of the hotel and was helpful with check in. Excellent employee.

This was an overnight stay prior to catching a plane to return to the USA. Room was clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was nice. Would definitely stay here again for the stated purpose.

terrible location. no wifi in room. must pay of internet access in room. must pay for on site parking. no restaurant near by, unless you count mcdonald's. must NOT stay. at least the room was clean.

Hotel is clean and nice but with small rooms. Small double bed. There was 1 double duvet too narrow though. There are only 4 free parking spaces outside the hotel. There is an unused land to park your car for free opposite the hotel but you have to enter from a different entry about 400 metres away from the hotel. After you have parked you can easily […] cross the street and there you are in front of the hotel's entrance. There is a Mac Donalds drive inn opposite the hotel. Breakfast was adequate and not bad at all. Most of the staff who work at the hotel dont speak English or are not willing to. However this hotel is a cheap but not bad choice in Dusseldorf. Hotel is nice but in an industrial area so nothing attractive around. For all that the hotel still charges 10 Euro to park the car - you can park for free outside.

We got in on a day when apperently there was a football match. So instead of what I asked for, I got a smoking room. THe only restaurant in walking distance is McDonalds. And there's no wifi in the rooms. Overall, too much money to have my lungs coated with tar.

After reading the reviews for this hotel, I was nervous, but my husband and teenage son and I were all pleasantly surprised. It's […] location was just right for us because we enjoyed riding the strassenbahn train to the downtown, which only took 10 minutes, and cost us 1 euro 40 cents each. Returning after our dinner, we were able to get a quiet night's sleep with windows open, since the hotel is surrounded by office parks which shut down at 6pm. We were only 24 hours in Dusseldorff, and our mistake was renting a car. The way to go would have been to get a tax, and use the train to get in to town. Live and learn. This hotel is conveniently located near Dusseldorf airport and offers a cozy clean room for a very sharp price. We stayed with our two kids and there was a queen bed and a bed-sofa that was pulled out and made as we arrived. We stayed here for just one night, as we were returning to the US the next day. I couldn't determine if the hotel's location is convenient to Dusseldorf attractions, but it was a quick and inexpensive ride to the airport. The room was very clean and comfortable. When we first arrived at the hotel I was concerned because it looked like it was off the beaten track. But the train was a short walk away as was the tram so getting to transportation was very easy. A clean and nice hotel not far from the airport. Near by you can find the Sbun or Tram- all 10 min. from the center. The rooms are small, as expected from an express hotel, but clean and comfortable. Most of the stuff is freindly and helpfull. Breakfast is great for this level of hotel. The only problem i found was the smell of cigarets in the smoking […] rooms. They must find something to refresh the smell in these rooms. We booked for 4 nights and rebooked for another 2 nights at the end of our tour in germany. Hotel was fine for a one night stay. It was not closest to airport although its billed as such. Cost of shuttle was 16 euro. Staff was friendly and accommodating, however, this hotel is in an industrial area and town was not really walking distance. There are probably other HI express locations that are closer to airport and town.

buon giorno!inanzitutto avevo chiesto una matrimoniale .......e ho avuto 2 lettini. poi la reception e' stata poco gentile specie alla fine forse perche' non parlavo bene l'inglese . e' accaduto un avvenimento molto grave a mio avviso a prescindere che io sono una dipendente per una societa' di cui cura la pubblicita sono la responsabile. stavamo andando […] via vista la distanza dell'aereo porto di weeze avevo un po' di fretta . alla reception c'erano due vostri dipendenti che scherzavano e parlavano tra di loro , io chiesi se era possibile lasciare le chiavi cortesamente. il dipendente si arrabbio' che lo avevo disturbato durante la sua chiacchierata si arrabbio e me ne disse un bel po' io non capendolo perche' parlava infretta chiesi scusa e lui ancora gridava. arrivo' io marito e gli disse che non capivo bene . mio marito parla benissmo il tedesco anche se e' italiano ma residente in germania da 40 anni!quindi capi' i suoi modi dispreggiativi nei miei confronti! in piu' il vostro dipendente sfido' mio marito con risate strafottenti e qualche insulti arrivando quasi alle mani se non mi fossi messa di mezzo tra di loro . la sigr che stava alla reception se ne sto' zitta quasi senza dir niente per calmare la situazione . questo e' tutto! io devo rientrare per una settimana a luglio per la festa del reno e delle giostre con gli altri miei 2 figli , ma sono profondamente delusa di questo albergo per il personale che ho incontrato quella mattina .
