This was the most positive hotel experience we had during our holiday in India. Beautifully decorated and large room, very welcoming reception staff, great pool area and a nice rooftop restaurant with really good food.

I was sad to only be able to stay 1 night at this adorable hotel. There is so much beauty at Umaid Bhawan, from the many outdoor nooks through the hotel to the decorated drawings on ceilings and pillars, the amazing rooftop restaurant for breakfast through dinner. it is a wonderful hotel, the room is very comfortable! the staff is kind~~~ i spent 2 nights in this hotel, i think the price is ok, and i satisfied with all the things! when you go to jaipur, this hotel is your first choice.

They know how to receive the client. The choice for breakfast and the quality of the food also for the supper. The quality of the service is excellent. They help you for activities to do around and not with an excessive price. We stay 4 weeks in India and this hotel arrive first for quality.

What a wonderful experience! We were greeted with warmth and helpful, friendly professional service. Our rooms were all spotless and decorated beautifully, as is the whole hotel in a traditional Rajasthan style. Umaid Bhavan is a special place. My wife and I have been to India 5 times and have stayed in many levels of hotels. The staff is very attentative. The building is paltatial without the palatial costs. The rooftop restaurant is very nice and the food was great. We will definitely return there on our next trip to Rajasthan.

The hotel was decent, the rooms look like out of a Bollywood film :) Breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip. Location is not too central. The water pressure was very low. We recommend this hotel. The staff was friendly.

The hotel is very clean & beautiful with a swimming pool. Service is good. Location is a little out of the way of main attractions. Breakfast is very good. Value for money and I would definitely recommend to friends

This was quite simply an excellent hotel. Room, pool, restaurant, (free) wifi, employees - (almost) no complaints. Absolutely, and by far, the best hotel we have found in India in this price range. In our mind, most of the complaints we saw in the reviews before booking have been rectified. The hotel was a pleasant surprise. Every surfacespace willen with sepia photographs and bric a brac but tastefully done. Evening meals on the rooftop.The show in the rooftoprestaurant from 18.30 21.00 was not very interesting and after one night it's enough but it is on every night. But overall we would recommend this hotel.

Great rooms with English colonial style with Indian mix. Has an awesome pool!!! The room was really nice and packed with lots of complementaries. There are lots of balconies with tables/chairs and other areas for guests to just relax. the roof top restaurant with Indian dancers/musicians is very nice and the food is reasonably priced. The booking was suggested by hotels.com staff. The review was good and so I went for it. As expected, the things were good at the hotel. Nice staff and good service. Food was good. I would recommend this place for a family stay.

Hotel Umaid Bhavan in Jaipur, the Pink City, was easily the best hotel we stayed in during a recent (Feb 2011) visit to India. A photo opportunity in every room, nook and cranny. Beautiful, antique furnishings, ornate paintwork, reliable electricity and hot water. Hotel staff always obliging but not always attentive - they will do everything asked but need a little more training in watching out for witless guests. Ok, it was hard for the driver to find the Hotel but it was worth driving around. This is really a unique heritage hotel with hidden staircases, a decent restaurant and fabulous rooms. The bath was clean with a nice shower, the bed was quite hard but personaly thats what I prefer. We simply loved it.

Very clean and well maintained hotel. Good location - easy rickshaw ride to old city & near train station. Very good value for money.

The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood, but still only 5-10 minutes from the bus or train station and only 10-20 minutes in an Auto or Car from the main sites. There are a some shops for essentials (food and toiletries) just down the street and a couple of ATMs only 5 minutes walk away. The decor is amazing -- perhaps a bit over the top, but it makes […] you feel that you are really in Rajasthan. This extends to the hallways and rooms, with exquisitely painted ceilings and lovely curtains. Breakfast was included; the spread was quite Indian but included cornflakes, fruit, yoghurt, toast, mixedfruitjam and an egg cooked how you like. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it! After reading the reviews posted of this hotel I was looking forward to my stay. My room was lovely, but was right under the rooftop restuarant, and was very noisy with the scraping of heavy chairs on tiles incessantly. The hot water, if your room had any (overhead some guests complaining they did not have any) worked by running the tap for 5-10 minutes, […] and considering Jaipur has water shortages during the summer this felt a very uncomfortable practice! The pool is being renovated/dismantled? and the noise from the picks chipping away was continuous. The food was excellent, but I have come home with a stomach bug!! Hotel is well maintained, decor and feel is that of a heritage hotel. Staff and service is ok, not particularly great. Great breakfast, but lunch/dinner meals are best had elsewhere. Try for a room with the naharganj fort view.

This hotel is so beautiful and romantic. It is an old palace but nicely maintained. I strongly recommend to couples.

Very nice and courteous staff, excellent ambience, you will your experience if you are a tourist.

L'hotel est joliment décoré, avec de très belles photos et fresques. J'avais demandé à la réception de m'envoyer un taxi à l'aéroport lors de mon arrivée, ce qui ne fut pas fait. J'étais un peu énervée en arrivant. Le petit déjeuner laisse un peu à désirer niveau qualité et variété mais c'est correct. Le wifi est gratuit et très efficace, connexion […] rapide. Le point très positif de cet hotel et dont je garde un très bon souvenir est le guide touristique, Monsieur Mansur, qui vient vous chercher à l'hotel le matin dans son petit rickshaw et qui vous emmène partout toute la journée, c'est une manière agréable, rapide et confortable de visiter la ville, pour quelques centaines de ruppies. L'hotel a une décoration superbe! Cependant le personnel n'est pas sympa ni accueillant, l'eau de la piscine avait tourné (elle était comme du lait), le lit était vraiment trop dur et la climatisation faisait beaucoup trop de bruit.

Endroit avec beaucoup de charmes où tout respire le faste des années passées mais qui mériterait d'être revampé afin de retrouver son lustre d'antant. Service agréable et avenant. Si nous devions repasser par Kota, c'est sans nul doute là que nous séjournerions.

EL hotel nos ha encantado. La habitación era muy cómoda y limpia, al igual que el baño. Tenía una buena TV y wifi gratuito. El desayuno también por encima de la media. Lo recomiendo a todo el mundo.

Das Hotel an sich ist prima, Es hat Spaß gemacht, immer neue Details zu entdecken. Das Frühstücksbuffet war voll in Ordnung. Das Rooftop Restaurant an sich war schön, die Musik und Tanz am Abend ansprechend, leider entsprach die Qualität und der Geschmack der Gerichte nicht unseren Erwartungen. Sällan att hotellet ser mer fantastisk ut än på korten på hemsidan, men i detta fall var det verkligen så. Det var som att få runt i ett palats. Riktigt snyggt. Restauranten uppe på taket var mycket trevlig. Poolen var skön och ren. Rummet var inte lika fint som resten av hotellet, men helt okay. I usually stay in nicer hotels when I am in India for work, but this hotel was really nice although a 3 star hotel. Food was so so, but I found everything working smoothly with this hotel. The room was clean and fine, bathroom clean with good amenities. I can recommend it to anyone traveling to Jaipur.
