I booked three rooms for family and friends. Nothing worked in the room and the coach in the room was very nasty. No wifi as it say on the website. would not go there again.

the hotel is conveniently located on the beach with convenience store on site which is hardly ever open but there are stores outside and a little distance from the hotel, there are places to eat away from the hotel including good thin crust oven baked pizza less than 2mins walk away the staff are pleasant and have been accommodating to me and my family […] but others have complained i am yet to have such a bad experience i had a one bed room with 2 dbl beds a lovely balcony with the view of the ocean which was top floor of the A block no AC in bed room but was acceptable overlooked garden and swimming pool beach clean water virtually seaweed less but yet a stones throw to left and right lots of seaweed in water. bathing area in water cordoned off for your safety water is so shallow almost 100m out to sea safe for children snorkellling closeby within the perimeter. Tons of entertainment going on in other hotels nearby you just walk up and take part use their bars, eat at their restaurants use their pools etc hassle free Baca selanjutnya

They should explain the different in the hotel and Condo rooms.

That place gave me the creeps was move around for 3days upon arrival power kept shuting off was put in a room that had big roachs that look like mice baths were very unsanitize would never go back again they need to remove them from all hotel deals

During this visit, our power was provided by a generator truck for three days. Following the generator departure, there was absolutely no power for one night. As Condo owners o this same property , I was very disappoined wih our stay. The first ting we noticed was the bedding was ripped. The bthroom was no htecleanest and in ned ofrepir. The hot tub was did not ven have heat run to it, nor dd the timer woirk, no bubbls! The pool was green , the water in the whold apt was ice cold, To top it off we lost electricty […] the last nite! The power was out and the water wasn't running for around half of our five night stay. Would have been good value for money without this. its a roll of the dice

Our stay there was enjoyable. As a resident of Jamaica at the time and a needed getaway, it fit the bill.

First, the pictures shown here do exist, in one room, but that room isn't with "Mariners Negril Beach Club Resort," but instead at the Negril Beach Club Condos, located on the same property but with a different office. Second, the place is infested with ants. Third, power was never reliable, in fact we had outages 4 different days, mind you the staff […] says it's in our area of the island, but at night it's clear we were the only ones. Fourth, stay is rude. (I hope you don't want to raise a concern, their priorities are paramount). Finally, I understand that this place is not a 5 star resort, and honestly I wasn't looking for one. I have spent much time abroad in more hostels/hotels than I can count and I can assure you that this is the worst place I have ever stayed. Furthermore, this is only exacerbated by a non-accommodating staff who are hard to depict from the vagabonds dispersed across the property. Also, if you do still want to stay here (for the price I hope?) please please please avoid the "duty-free" market and just walk to the Hi-Lo downtown (10 mins walk) because the mark-up is at least 200% on every item we saw. If you are still staying here at least try the restaurant on the beach called "Lingah," their food is reasonably priced and extremely good. Honestly, what is the best place of this "resort?" Ignore all the bad reviews! I went here with 22 people and booked six rooms. They had ALL of our reservations and they were all on the beach. The rooms are nothing fancy, but who cares?? The location has the best part of the beach. A lot more space and less people. Close to cliffs too!! There were little bugs in the room, but you're in Jamaica do just […] relax, they won't kill ya. The restaurant on the beach was excellent, try the crunchy French toast. Also the girl bartender was super nice! Front desk was very very helpful, she even called ME to confirm our shuttles. just really bad, hotel seemed always overbooked as when i got their no room for me, first thing i saw as i arrived was a customer complaining, omg should have known that i was gonna b doing that too, manager did not want to apppease situation fast enough

Small boutique hotel centrally located in Negril on seven mile beach. Not too many frills but it really wasn't a pre-requisite for us as the beach was absolutely gorgeous and the experience very relaxing. They have an ok restaurant right on the beach. The food was good but the timeliness of service needs improvement. Cordial friendly staff.

The property boasts a very nice piece of beach, a pool and hot tub. Rooms are dated and not all rooms are like the pictures. Lots of people were bumped to other places , We managed to get a nicer room after 1 week in the poorer room. It had fridge micro toaster coffee maker stove and flat screen tv. The price is not bad. No free internet service available even at the lobby. You have to pay 36USD for just a week for a connection slower than 150 kbps. I could easily get charter 30 MBPS here for a month at 29.99! The worst part is that you only have one service detected and you're forced use that one! Reception has the card but you have to pay only […] in cash for it. The glass door to the garden / veranda did not lock and I was provided with a wooden stick to keep it locked. The restaurant on their beach is run separately and you don't have much on the menu. just returned from our holiday at the negril beach club and enjoyed the property.the location is excellent,close to negril and all the action on the beach but you will be hounded on the beach by the locals selling stuff. the room is perfect for the money i paid for it two double beds sufficient space for me and two kids on our once a month long weekend visits to negril and the price is suitable for what it is. The staff are pleasant enough and remember faces, the beach, pool and bar are a skip hop and a jump away from the room the kids feel free and secure to walk or […] run on ahead of me to the beach, the pool is clean but the same cannot be said about the jacuzzi, no problem with sun loungers this time there seemed to be plenty to go round or was that because this is the slow season ground staff probably need to clean up the beach/sand area earlier in the mornings ready for the day. the room is fairly secure although i had to use a lump of wood to secure the patio door but no access can be gained from outside as the door cannot be pushed neither can you slide it open from the outside restaurant called lingah by the sea and the bar not actually attached to the hotel but you can still order your food and run a tab. The jamaican breakfast always good ... i spend very little time outside the hotel as all my children need is sand, sea and lots of space they never ever seem to get bored. I've stayed at five different hotels in Jamaica, and I went in to this one knowing that it has a low rating, so I am speaking objectively. I did experience the same problem that other reviewers mentioned regarding check in - not very welcoming, and their expressed concern that there may not be an available room. This combined with the fact that the […] lobby looks original from 1977 (and not in a good way), make for an unpleasant start to ones stay. The rooms really are kind of gross. Though they are cleaned properly, the non smoking room had dirty old ash trays and an air conditioner that was yellowed from years of smoke. The bed spread was patched up and the toilet had a make shift replacement cover over the tank. Even the doors to the rooms are dirty and old. Though there are a few rooms that are renovated. But most look like the one I stayed in. I could go on about how bad the room is. Though there are some positives to this hotel: the people who work there are really nice, the restaurant is good (great breakfast, good lunch, dinner..). The stretch of beach in front of the hotel is beautiful and there are plenty of beach chairs. We have much experience with Negril, Jamaica and its available accommodations. The Negril Beach Club has deteriorated significantly and we cannot in good faith recommend it to any traveler. We had electrical sparks coming from the TV outlet, which shut down all the unit's outlets and had to be replaced. The railing on the balcony was rusted through […] and part of it had become unhinged. Beach towels were never available at the front desk. The TV remote wouldn't program to the TV. The fridge was old and dilapidated. The entire unit was in significant need of repair. The best attributes of the facility were the abundance of hot water for the shower and the large beachfront. However, beach chairs were uncomfortable and many were broken up. This hotel definitely falls into the economy hotel category, and you really get what you pay for. In fairness to the staff, the hotel front desk function was woefully understaffed and under-managed, and the maintenance man did respond to our problems adequately. Adequate facility and suitable room although , cleaning could be more thorough and bedspreads a bit tired. Hot water shower! Enjoyed my balcony but , had Beach road view, not a garden view. Had a great New Years at Negril Beach Club. Good food, friendly bar tenders and my room was upgraded to the "condo" style rooms with hardwood floors and full kitchen. Thanks Negril Beach Club!

I stayed in some nice hotels whilst I was in Jamaica, but this was the worst, it really needs some money spending on doing it up, it was dirty and tattered

The hotel could use some updating, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. The beach was great and the staff were friendly. Excellent location right on 7 mile beach.

Our stay was great. The hotel needs updating but was most comfortable, clean and close to everything. Friendly staff but the barman's math was off.

Stayed for 3 nights Mar 26-29. Nice beach. Good restaurant on site with reasonable prices. There are also 2 mini-market stores on site. Attentive security watches over the premises. Rooms are basic and clean (hard caribbean bed mattress). Only soap & towels provided (bring your own shampoo, lotion, etc.) 15 min walk to town. hotel was not so good.rooms smell bad, ans were full of mosquitos, employees not always nice,some other guests were not reliables as well,sometimes some taxy hotel friendly.see was beauty

We just stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks ,it should have some renovations done ,but for the price we paid we were satisified with our stay. The staff were pleasent,rooms were clean,we felt safe but needs some repairs.

Great place; 10 min. walk from Negril and grocery stores. Don't expect an American style "resort", but we totally loved it. The buildings are old and simple. We felt that we got what we paid for: a clean bed and a functional bathroom. The shower tub was not draining well and they sent someone within 10 minutes to fix it. The pool is useless since the […] Caribbean is 30 feet away, but I guess it looks good on pictures. (I never saw anyone use it.) The hotel has the best beach in the area (longest/widest), about about 50x50 yards/meters with some trees for shade. People are very friendly and helpful. The bar has great coffee in the morning and serves drinks and GREAT food all day long. You can eat cheaper if a local cab driver points you to the good local joints. ($150-300 Jamaican plus &50 tip or so to get to Negril.) (Always have exact change or you will get scammed.) You can also walk 2-3 minutes on the beach and get to the "resorts" next door. This was my second stay at this hotel. On a whole the hotel was fine. However we had to change rooms because there was no light in the bathroom and the fan didn't work properly. Upon arrival I was impress with the entry to the resort as the pics posted online is very shabby. Front desk area leaves much to be desired however not too bad. Rooms decor are laughable, no iron, no phone just the bare minimum in the room (bed, tv and surprisingly a new looking mini frig). We had 2 rooms; one for the 3 kids and one for me and my wife. First they said they would have to change one of our rooms after the first night, but then they later said we wouldn't have to. This is our 3rd visit to this hotel, over a 25 year period. It hasn't changed very much, except for the restaurant, which they did not have originally. Besides waiting a while for them to check us in, the hotel was GREAT. The hotel is situated RIGHT ON 7 mile beach. The location is perfect with little to no one in site. There's a lot of vendors on 7 mile beach however not too many that will harass you by this property. If you do go to Margaritaville, there are A LOT of vendors that are quick to sell […] you their services for jet skiing and so forth. All in all, i would recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for a hotel right in your back yard. The room i stayed in came equipped with a refrigerator, stove, sink, air conditioner, fan, cable television; it had the works. They do have a restaurant and a bar on site. The cost of a drink at the bar is in U.S. currency in which it does turn out to be kind of expensive. The hitch with this is that when you pay in U.S., they will return your money in JA currency unless you request it in U.S. currency. Great location. Nice people staying here, but the property overbooks every day and they send the people they want to get rid of to a shabby alternative property not on the beach. We heard guests complaining about broken airconditioners and bathroom drains that wouldn't drain. This hotel is definitely a bargain, I was hesitant when I saw the low price, but everything was fine. The beach is one of the larger ones compared to other beachfront hotels. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The restaurant on premises was very good, the food and service was great and you can watch the sunset as you eat dinner. Thank God for the mini-mart […] in the lobby with medicine for headaches and such. The pool was a plus, too. When my TV remote stopped working, maintenance quickly replaced it. The Negril Beach Club Resort is exactly wht many have said is was. No beach towels, but you can easily buy them. The higglers are bothersome, but once you understand the routine, you'll be fine. Like it was mentioned before, it's best take a taxi anywhere you go, Ric's Cafe, shopping, eating, whatever. The higglers do not bother you if you are on the […] resort's property. The undercover police are on the scene anyway. The room we had at first had an iguana issue on the patio that faced the alley and dripping water from the airconditioner above us. We told the front desk and they upgraded us to a Time Share room, which was great. The next day they upgraded us again to a room facing the pool/beach. GRREAT!! The room is what you expect for the money, but the place was clean. The guests were all very nice, everywhere. We had a great time and would definitely return for the friendly service, the beautiful beach and sun, the rum punch and the Jamaican arts/craft. The ONLY "jacked up" food we ate was where the "BEST" jerk chicken can be found. Sorry I forgot the name, but I must say this wa.s NOT jerk chicken.
