Great location, but hotel in horrible condition, I went to a nearby store to buy Lysol, room looked and smelled dirty, will not be staying there again

We go to check in and the room is not cleaned yet so we wait till its cleaned... they gave us a room with a jacuzzi, so me and my husband decide to relax and enjoy it..we turn it on and with in 10min there is a foot of water in our room, the tub was filling up but was also broken... so i go tell the front desk and explain that our room is full of water […] and our luggage is all wet.. she says y did i turn it on? i did not pay for a room with a jacuzzi i shouldnt have turned it on.. she says she has no rooms available and not sure where to put me... so i tell her give me my money back and we will go else where, well she came up with a room for us.... she then tells me that the owner is upset with us because we turned on the jacuzzi and we shouldnt have because it was broken, i told her there was no sign and she should of told us since she put us in the room... I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN.... YES IT WAS CHEAP BUT IT WAS CHEAPER LOOKING..THE MANAGEMENT WAS NOT AT ALL MANAGMENT MATERIAL....MOST OF THE PEOPLE THAT HUNG OUT BY THE CARS OR THE CEMENT COVERED POOL WERE A LITTLE SHADY... rooms are real small and u get 2 towels (1 large and 1 face towel) and no soap ,,,, Baca selanjutnya

I stayed at La Copa Inn because of the nice picture of the pool they had on hotels.com. I pull up and low and behold, the pool is the size of my bath tub and it looks disgusting. I have a 2 yr old and thought we could spend some time in the pool. Needless to say, we spent most of our evenings in the room. Also, the area is pretty scary. There were homeless […] men around the side of the hotel and when I would walk to my car, alone, they would come up and ask for money. Hotel is strategically located in teh heart of Mcallen, TX., they offer excellent service for a very reasonable price, the only drawback is the size of the pool its extrmely small and we had to take turns with the other guests to use it. They have very friendly staff and understand the needs of all guests.

The hotel was noting like shown in the pictures. It smelled very bad, sheets were dirty and old. When you lift up sheets you can see bugs on the bed. The bathroom had no toilet seat. It was so bad we left and went to another hotel.

Comfortable bed, clean sheets, working ac, ceiling fan, lots of hot water for a hot shower, and as many cable channels as you could possibly want. The negative is that the small pool you see in the picture with the fence around it is the ONLY pool there. The larger pool pictured is from the other hotel called "LA COPA" instead of "LA COPA INN. I arrived at this hotel which is not in a bad location, very centric and conveniently close to important parts of town. The lobby is a tiny place, equipment is old and worn out, personnel was rude and careless. Rooms are dirty, sheets are dirty, carpets stink and the whole environment was a disaster! Don't go there!

right in the middle of downtown ... the people is super nice, the price is incredible... very nice stay.. will come back!!!

For money savers this is an affordable Inn with great location. Receptionist wasn't the most enthusiast or kind person, but the overall experience was OK.

Very well located, from big stores, markets, gas station. Very please, but the internet acces a little bit difficult to get.

Ugly! Never again!

The carpets were dirty, there was only one hand towel, found out they were out of towels. The top lock on the door was broken. The only stairs leadig to the second were flithly.. However the front desk morning and evening girls were very friendly..

Bad room maintenance

the hotel was in a very noisy and dirty location also when we arrrived to check in there was a woman sitting down at the reception with half of her breast showing and she looked like she had been smoking marihuana. NOT A GOOD HOTEL, i had to leave and check out another hotel.

Hotel was very well maintained and clean. Although there are only a few services offered they were very quick to respond to any of my needs. Has a good location, next to an HEB, right on 10th street and not far from all the hot spots downtown. Overall it was a good stay.

The curtains were falling off the rod, that was the 1st thing I noticed. I went to grab the remote to turn on the tv but that was missing so I decided to call the front desk to ask for a replacement. That when I noticed that I did not have a phone in the room. The fridge never got cold and the cleaning lady was rude the next morning.

. The room was a desaster; dirty 100%;NOT Internet access; lamps without light ;tv broken; the sheets smelled bad and was smoking area and we requested a not smoking area due my sun. Sincerelly was a very bad experience on this particular hotel (Room 116)

Wifi sucks, no breakfast. Good cheap place though, hookers were there, (but that didn't bother us) wasn't the best place by any means, but a room to stay

clean, but there was no phone, the door had no security, alarm clock radio did not work, ask when booking is made by internert give you this kind of room?

It is what it is. Not bad for the price, for a group of out of town workers. Maybe, a little less than what a family would be looking for.

room was visibly clean, people were freidly. was swall but so was price

for the price, it was great, but should be cleaner and needs some maintenance maybe tile floor instead of carpet????

It was cheap, right off the freeway and the bed was comfortable. The only complaint was that the walls need to be washed down - you can tell it had been a while. But all in all worth the money and clean.

No major complaints. Not super nice, but adequate and comfortable. Could use some better lighting.

Basically you get what you pay for. It was convenient to many stores, plazas and mall. Could have used more than two towels, an A/C that was more quiet and cooler and a courtesy "Iron/board". Otherwise it was fine.

When I booked this room at the La Copa Inn in McAllen, TX., I expected to see what I saw on the website, nice clean rooms, a nice pool, clean carpets and furniture. I have come to expect such things booking through Hotels.com. This time, however, I got very dirty carpets, not stained, but residue from them left on my baby's knees when she first crawled […] on the floor! We had hair in the sink drain and not enough towels, dust on the cushions of the chairs that rose in puffs when you put anything on them. If this hotel is not run by the La Copa Inn company, then they should demand to have the name removed from the sign. This place was deplorable! Baca selanjutnya

If the only thing you are looking for is a place to stay, then you should get a room at La Copa Inn. Room service is not the best, but you can always walk by the front desk and ask for towels. In terms of location is very convenient since it close to HEB (supermarket), gas station, mall and restaurants.

We booked this hotel thinking it was the same as the other Copa Inns in the area. Technically, it is not owned by the same people but so what. We stayed in the heart of McAllen (10th Steet) for a riduculous price. All we wanted was a room to stay with cold AC and a TV. We got that and a mini pool. A place to just cool off after a round of golf. Here's […] the bonus, if you want to eat authenic Mexican food - there's this place called Casa de Taco right behind it. We went there for diner and to our surprise, forget going accross the border, its right there. The atmosphere and the meal was unforgetable. Guacamole salad (large), frijoles a la charra, homemade tortillas, Carte Blanca, 4 Margaritas, 2 main entres to die for, music, and service like no other (ask for Alphonso), and $27 later - you got to be kidding me. No recomendaria este hotel, pues no hay limpieza en las habitaciones, tuve que comprar un desinfectante y aplicarlo en toda la habitacion, aparte de que en las habitaciones contiguas hacian mucho ruido a deshoras de la noche, el aire acondicionado te lo apagan en la noche desde la recepcion y la senal de internet no sirve, nunca pude conectarme mas […] de 2 minutos. Pesima experiencia, me asignaron un cuarto que resulto que estaba ocupado por una pareja que lo habia rentado por horas, muy bochornoso. No necesito decir mas.

Quedamos desilucionados con la limpieza del hotel, hasta bichos habia.

Sucio, sin ningun servicio de los que aparecen en internet, sin telefono, todo roto y sucio, Sabanas y toallas sucias, ruidoso ... como motel de paso. Horribleeeee ...

El Hotel cuenta con una excelente ubicación y nada mas lo recomiendo para pasar la noche 1 día.

Pocas veces hago caso de los comentarios, pero les juro que quedarse en ese hotel es la muerte, huele muchisisisismo a tabaco y eso que pedimos habitacion de no fumar, las colchas estan todas quemadas por cigarro y ni se diga de la bañera y el sanitario una expriencia horrible.
