Allamanda Beach Hotel - Gereja Christ

The best thing about the Hotel was CARL. He does it all ....breakfast/lunch/dinner....most pleasant person on STAFF. The ladies at the reception need to take a course on "etiquette and manners"...very rude to say the least! The sister Hotel appears to be much better...went there for a day "the Amaryllis." Make sure you make a reservatiion for the shuttle […] to take you there or you will walk! For the money I paid is OK considering everything in Barbados is "very expensive!" We only needed a hotel to sleep in for the night before getting on the cruise ship, so we wanted a cheap rate. The location was good (right on the beach) but that was about it. I was arriving late and only staying for one night, so wanted somewhere basic but comfortable. The Allamanda fitted the bill. The rooms are very spacious with a separate kitchen area and balcony - the decor is somewhat dated and the overall impression could be enhanced by attention to detail on some minor repairs (the front panel of my air conditioning […] unit was missing, even though it was fully functioning). We chose this hotel because we needed somewhere reasonably close to the airport for just one night and didn't want to spend a lot of money, and it delivered pretty much what we were looking for. The hotel is about 20 minutes drive from the airport. Our room was basic but perfectly adequate, and quiet. Generally, the hotel is somewhat tired and scruffy, […] but the grounds are quite attractive and well maintained. There wasn't a proper restaurant, more a snack bar, but most people seemed to be self catering (our room had a kitchenette and I imagine this is typical), and we found an excellent restaurant a very short walk away along the beach. The staff were mostly pleasant and obliging. As the hotel has only two stars, we were not expecting a great deal, so altogether we were pleasantly surprised. The rates received for this hotel were great for the area, however, the staff was very unfriendly and unaccommodating. We booked two twin beds and were given one king. Staff would not accommodate us and said we just needed to slide the beds apart, but were not given any additional linen. This hotel is in an excellent location, 15 minutes taxi ride from the airport and located right on a small narrow beach and on the newly built beach boardwalk, which connects the hotel nearly all the way to its sister property - the Amaryllis Hotel and Resort, for which guests of the Allamanda can use their free hotel shuttle, gym facilities and beach […] chairs free of charge. There are also a couple of very good restaurants within 50 feet walking distance of the hotel, as well as a convenience store, a KFC and a small shopping center across the main entrance from the hotel. The city bus stop is directly outside of the hotel entrance as well and for a very nominal fare, you can travel to any point on the island. There is a pool on property surrounded by nice gardens and a a stone's throw from that across the boardwalk is the beach. Just down the boardwalk is Accra Beach, which is great for swimming in the warm water. Surprisingly, other than the chirping gekko's (which are everywhere in the Caribbean), the hotel is in a very quiet location, as there are no noisy nightclubs around other than a small, mobile tiki bar next door, that was actually quite fun and had a plethora of island drinks from which to choose. The only drawbacks of the hotel are that the beds are extremely firm, and we had a difficult time finding hot shower water in the mornings. Oddly, in the evenings only, warm water was available but not in the mornings. Additionally, the lights in the breezeway stay on all night and light up the sleeping rooms through high windows, so bring a pair of eyeshades if you need total darkness in which to sleep. Otherwise the property is extremely clean with fresh clean white towels and lines changed each day. There is free internet service avaialable at a kiosk in the lobby and there is also a nice restaurant on property, which served full meals, and a small bar beachside called "Home." The stay at the hotel was very pleasant, the personel was the best and the view as well!!! The room though was not very clean (bathroom and hairs on the floor in the hotelroom itself). And the fact that the closet was in the bathroom was very inconvenient not having enough room, the clothes became wet because the doors couldnt close and not havong the […] mirror there. We were lucky to get a good discount when booking this hotel, however, if we had have paid anymore, we would have been very disapointed. The pool and gardens are lovely and the hotel is directly on the beach but the rooms are in need of a good spruce up! Excelente precio para la comodidad y acceso que te ofrece el hotel.Frente a la playa donde puedes salir a caminar por las mananas y tardes. No obstante, un poquito de mejor mantenimiento no le caería nada mal y carga tu repelente por los zancudos y otros insectos...

Nous étions dans une chambre de plein pied face à la piscine. Le seul problème est qu'il y a 4 vitres côté buanderie (en haut du mur) qui laissent filtrer l'éclairage laissé volontairement la nuit donc si vous n'avez pas de protèges yeux ,vous passez une nuit blanche. De plus il n'y a pas d'intimité possible entre l'hotêl et le tiers à cause d'une des […] vitres dont le verre n'est pas opaque. Un conseil, refusez une chambre à ce niveau et demandez à en visiter une autre. Nous y sommes restés qu'une nuit sinon nous aurions changé d'hôtel Baca selanjutnya

Hyggeligt hotel med god beliggenhed. Boede der i fem dage. Værelset vedligeholdelse var mangelfuld. Der skulle ikke bruges mange timers arbejde for at få kvaliteten hævet. Der manglede shampo og sæbe i beholderne på badeværelset. I køkkenet blev der hver dag lagt et nyt viskestykke, det havde været en god idé hvis hotellet også havde leveret opvaskesæbe […] og en grydesvamp. Adgang til Internettet urimelig dyrt. O hotel está bem localizado. As praias ao redor sao bem bonitas e boas para nadar e passar o dia. Há varias opcoes de restaurantes por perto e lojas de conveniencia. Estava receosa com o hotel pq. havia comentários sobre a qualidade da limpeza, mas nao tivemos problemas. O quarto estava limpo e ficava bem de frente ao mar. sehr schöne Lage direkt am Strand, ca. 200 m entfernt ist der Rockley bzw. Accra Beach das Hotel ist etwas abgewohnt, in unserem Zimmer ging der Fernseher nicht mangels Receiver und die Nachttischlampenwaren nicht zu verwenden

I was very pleased to Allamanda Beach hotel. The hotel really exceeded my expectations. Service was very good and helpful and the beach was only few meter from the hotel which was very nice. Room was big and it was cleaned and the towels was changed every day. Bustop to Bridgetown was just at front of the hotel.

Trata-se de um hotel que dentro de seu padrão me superou as expectativas, com ótima localização. Front Desk altamente eficiente. Muito boa relação custo benefício. Recomendado!!!
