Blue Sky city beach hotel - Bandar Rhodes

Good location for visiting the historical and archaeological sites of Rhodes, though the hotel also faces a beach and is close to a variety of restaurants. Some features of the hotel are a little dated and tired.

Very disappointing. Booked 7 nights and the room was filthy. The carpet was absolutely black with huge stains. This dirt i assume has built up over the summer months and not been attended to. The stairways between the floors were the same.My son in an adjoining room fared better with a laminated floor but his shower cubicle collapsed and water flooded […] through the ceiling from the A/C unit when it was switched on. Otherwise fairly spacious room,plenty of mirrors/wardrobes etc. In room bar prices very reasonable. Reception staff very helpful. Breakfast- very basic cheap food- including sub standard bacon/sausages/bread/orange juice etc. They must have been the cheapest around to buy. Didn't try the evening meals priced at 8 euros for a buffet, but it seemed repetitive.Overall, a thumbs down and really only a 2 star hotel. Baca selanjutnya

IT WAS OK. The room was alright. Was told on arrival that we had been upgraded by the hotel to a sea view, but that was already arranged when we booked. The bathroom/toilet was very small and the shower cubicle was really tight. Breakfast was reasonable but not great. The carpet was dirty in the room. The hotel def seen better days- refurbishment needed- carpets worn and place tired looking- sheets looked like been slept in- but staff very helpful and replacement within 10 minutes- cleaning staff very helpful and friendly. Wait staff helpful and service okay. The food was average quality and quantity.

We had a ground floor room with a view of the beach. The air conditioner wasn't the best so it felt warm in the room at some times. The hotel staff was great! We wanted to rent scooters and the desk helped coordinate the process. Great location and also great staff!

The Hotel is good, all the staff are super but the food and the rooms could so easily be much better. - The food is good but could do with better presentation and service. Our room would have been much better had it had a more up to date TV and certainly needed a better laundry detergent.

the staff were extremely rude, total unhelpful. The room was disgusting, with filthy carpet and smelt revolting. Asked for a wakeup call and received it, half an hour late, almost causing us to miss our flight. I will never reccomend this hotel to anyone and will be telling people not to sky at blue sky Rhodes! Pool and reception area is lovely. Room was okay, a little tired but clean enough. The only problem I had was the drinking glasses were dirty in the room which was easily sorted. Fantastic location, very nice pool area. Great sea view from room, nice balcony. However, room itself was in a dire needed of renovations. Ugly, stained carpets and outdated amenities. But, for the low price, it is worth it. We didn't spend too much time in our room anyways...

We got the room for a great price, if we had paid full price we would have been very disappointed with the hotel. The pool area was lovely, it rained whilst we were there though. Breakfast, big selection,okay nothing great. Rooms a bit old fashioned, bed sheets smelled really weird although my husband did'nt seem to notice! The outside of the hotel, the pool area, restaurant, and lobby were very nice; easily a 4 or 5 star hotel. Unfortunately the hotel room wasn't even close, there were deep dark track marks in the carpet and in desperate need of renovation although it was spacious. The room was filthy on arrival. There was food and other debris on the carpet that had not been vacuumed. The sheets had hairs in them. We had to ask for vacuuming and clean sheets. Once vacuumed, the carpet was still extremely stained. Pillows and beds were lumpy. Room safes didn't work. Room looked and felt bleak. More expensive and less impressive than any of the other places we stayed in Greece or Italy during our 3 week trip. Even wanted 20 Euros extra for the use of our room safe. Keep us in limbo for a while while they tried to find a room for us even thought we had a confirmation number from Hotels.com. We left the door hanger requesting maid service. They […] opened the door and put the hanger on the dresser without cleaning or replacing towels. On the plus side, breakfast and the pool are both nice. La scelta del Blue Sky è stata davvero azzeccata! ci siamo trovati benissimo. La stanza affacciava sul retro ma era luminosissima e, passando tanto tempo fuori, nemmeno ti accorgi di non poter vedere il tramonto (consiglio di scendere alle 19.45 per godervelo direttamente dalla spiaggia di fronte all'hotel!). Il servizio buono, qualità del cibo alta, […] tutte le cene sono state abbastanza variegate e con menu internazionali, ce n'era per tutti i gusti, dai piatti tipici greci ai soliti roastbeef! Le camere sempre pulitissime e anche il servizio in piscina impeccabile: un piccolo bar garantisce il godimento di ogni tipo di bevande! En absoluto se puede conceptuar como 4 estrellas (2, y con buena voluntad). Positivo: -Las vistas al mar desde la habitación (que había sido contrada con dichas características) eran muy bonitas. - Esta muy cerca, caminando, de la parte antigua. - En frente, cruzando la carretera hay una playa, de cantos rodados y si se sigue por el paseo marítimo se […] llega, en 5 minutos a la playa principal de la ciudad que es de guijarros. Negativo: - La mayor parte de las habitaciones tienen una moqueta terriblemente sucia y muy antigua. Nosotras, después de protestar en recepción, conseguimos cambiarnos a una con suelo de laminado. - El baño era diminuoto, con una ducha mínima. La taza del watwer dw plástico y el estado decrépito. - Los domingos no limpian la habitación, hay un letrero en la puerta del ascensor en donde lo comunican (he hecho un foto, si les interesa me la solicitan) A la correspondiente protesta se nos indicó que ese servicio deberíamos haberlo contratado con la agencia de viajes. - - Tampoco cambiaban las toallas. tras la correspondiente protesta, si las cambiaron todos los días. -El cambio de sábanas era casa dos días, exceto, claro los domingos. - Dessayono muy poble y básico (2, 3 estrellas, pero no 4) En definitiva deberían de cambiarle la calificación para no inducir a errores Baca selanjutnya

Reception, Poolområde, Bar, Utomhusbar, Loungen... Ja, allt var i princip kanon. Rummen var dock lite halvdana. Liten toa och dusch och sängarna var ganska små och lite halvhårda. Utsikten från balkongen var dock magisk och man ska ju egentligen bara sova på rummet när man är iväg!

I will write a better review on tripadvisor. Be sure to read that as well. The good: The hotel lobby was nice. The rooms were clean. The sunset was nice The bad: All rooms recently refurbished it says on their website. Translation: we've changed a couple of lamps and light switches, and we've smeared some silicone around the worst cracks in the bathroom. Everything […] else in the room was from the 70ies. And the first room we had was tiny, bordering on claustrophobic. The carpet was from the 70ies with lots of stains. The AC wouldn't work unless it was set at below 15 deg C. Then it didn't stop. (In our second room it only worked when set below 5 deg.) The beds were rock hard(and I don't mind a hard bed) we actually had red marks on our bodies after sleeping there. The bed spread was also from the seventies, washed out and with something looking like mold-spots. The breakfast was dismal. I tried mailing the hotel before arrival because I needed a late checkout. I didn't receive a reply, so I had to book an extra night with hotels.com instead. I would regard this hotel as a 2-3 star. Baca selanjutnya

Stanze dignitosamente pulite anche se non nuovissime, per una permanenza assolutamente positiva.
