Mantra on Salt Beach - Kingscliff

The service staff at the reception desk were wonderful. Great customer service skills and very friendly.....that was the highlight. The room was very pokey - king size bed?? Yes....however the ridge created by pushing two beds together was not exactly condusive to comfort in any way, shape or form. The ventilation fan in the bathroom was not functioning, […] making for uncomfortable conditions when bodily functions created unpleasant smells.....there is just so much bonding any couple can handle!! I paid extra for ocean views...ummmm - well yes - I could see the ocean, so I guess they delivered on that - however the few waves that we could see above the tree line from the 2nd floor was certainly not worth the expense. I have stayed at Mantra Hotels before and have had terrific experiences....I'm off to Canberra tomorow for another Mantra Experience....hopefully Salt Beach will be the exception to the rule. Delightful place to stay. Lovely rooms surrounded by beautiful pools and gardens. Well located on beach front with easy access to a number of restauramts and a great hotel bistro.

It's not exactly on the route, but it was worth it. The beach was great, the rooms were great, the pool with morning sun was fantastic. Loved our time here, would come back for longer if I was in the area again.

The Mantra on Salt Beach is a beautifully relaxing and well-equipped hotel. We liked our 1 bedroom apartment, we loved the pools and spa, the buffet breakfast was excellent and the position on Salt Beach is unsurpassed. There was only one thing that let the hotel down and that was the clientele and the security. On our first night, there were some drunken […] conference guests who decided to party on into the early morning hours on a balcony near our room, and who also activated the fire alarms multiple times, which led to a sleepless night. Great location with great pool and tropical gardens. We chose ocean view room which was very nice but extremely small. only issue was uncomfy bed otherwise very nice stay with good service.

Our airconditioning was not working properly and neither was our phone. We had to call reception on the mobile. By the time we discovered the faulty air conditioning it was too late to move which meant we had a restless, cold night. We were offered late checkout or breakfast, neither of which suited us. No other incentive was offered. We were in a […] room designed to be occupied with the adjacent room with a small foyer between. Our noisy neighbours had visitors coming and going until midnight. We suggested on checkout that there should be sign on the door of these rooms to consider their neighbours, but were told this was not possible. The hotel is also very rambling and we had a long walk with our bags to our room. Access to the beach from our room was not straightforward. Altogether a disappointing stay in a beautiful location. Very nice hotel. Well maintained and Salt beach is only a 1 minute walk from the hotel. Stayed here for valentines day with my girlfriend and we both loved it. The room wasn't very big (we only got a studio) but it was perfect for us. Luxury fittings and a huge bathtub. The resort Lagoon was great and the distance to the beach was great. Great location, very large room, resort is right on the beach, with surf patrol out front. Only stayed one night for a wedding. Place is well maintained, good value, easy undercover parking. We really enjoyed our stay... no complaints at all.

We stayed in a studio room for one night. The room is small but the bathroom relatively large. Bedside table on only one side of the bed. Bathroom is open to the bedroom through plantation shutters - no glass. Plenty of places to eat around the hotel and good location for extended walks along the beachfront.

Arrived on Saturday and the apartment was great, good views of the ocean and very quiet. But on the Sunday there was fire close by and it was a hot day so we tried the air conditioning. Which was broken. We were moved to the apartment above the existing one. This apartment was not vacant, which was embrassing and we walked in.
