the staff was very nice, communication diffuclties at times but if there was a problem or confussion, they would have another member of staff clarify. for the price the room was great, very large and the bed was very comfortable. the front desk would have a vehicle for you any time and for a much cheaper price than out in town. my friends got thier […] own room and they were very pleased as well. we enjoyed the surrounding night life, easy walking dstance, and it was easy to navigate our way back after a few drinks. the roof top pool was very nice with a great view, spent many a late night up there. all in all i would absolutely come back, and i recommend this hotel to who ever is thinking about checking it out. this being said i am was traveling on pleasure/business, am single (as were my friends), and am pretty easy going. for families or people who expect a holiday inn, i am not so sure. We recently spent a week at the Pacific Club Resort. The hotel is well situated at the too of a hill, close enough to walk to the town and far away enough to not be disturbed by noise. Quite a bit if construction going on on the way to town but it did not disturb us. You probably won't find better bang for your buck than this hotel, located at Karon Beach. We chose Karon because we were told it's quieter and nicer than the main beach (Patong, approximately 15 minutes drive away), and to a certain degree that's true. It isn't as busy as Patong, but it was still very crowded and no way near as nice as some of the […] other beaches we went to further up the coast. The hotel is very well presented. Staff are very polite & helpful and it feels like you're staying in a much nicer hotel but paying half the price. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the Beach (there are no shops/restaurants immediately nearby the property), although a car can take you there if you wish. One word of warning: the hotel is located near a sewerage treatment plant which they empty regularly throughout the day. A wonderful hotel to stay at. All the staff give you the VIP treatment and are friendly. The hotel is located up a hill, perhaps a 7 to 8 minute walk to either Karon Beach, or the commerial/tourist area. The balcony is large and faces the courtyard. The restraunt is very good. Oddly its prices are the same as in town. Usually hotels really jack up the price of meals thet feel you are somewhat captive to eat with them: not here.A lot of guests ate breakfast in the morning at the hotel restaurant, and generates visiting with one another. The pool makes you feel like you are living large. It's located on the roof, with views of the the jungle and hills on 3 sides and the ocean on the other side. The pool is salt water, warm, and clean, and has food and beverage service. Many people we met at the hotel loved the pool area so much, they vactioned there. Motorbikes are inexpensive to rent from the hotel;250 bhat a day, and the equivalent of 150 bhat a day for the week. Although traffic is wild, the ride to the Big Buddha and Rawai Beach is nice. We ended our two week vacation in Thailand at the Pacific Club Resort and it was a great choice. The rooftop pool is fantastic. The restaurant serves an incredible variety of food considering the small size of the hotel. Hotel is very nice, as well as the staff. Room is big and comfortable, clean, but not luxorious. Hotel's location is not the best - it is between other hotels which are on construction, and is located next to a water treatment facility. It is a walking distance from Karon beach and Karon village.

Overall, pretty good for the price. I was stuck waiting in the lobby (not air conditioned) from checkout (noon) until my live aboard (dive boat) picked me up at 6pm. I lost five pounds in water weight that day.

However, if you have young children or want to spend time going back and forth between the hotel to shopping, the beach, or eateries, it could be a little too much walking back and forth, unless you get a taxi or tuk tuk. We only went a couple of times to the beach/shopping area. We mainly ate at the hotel and did the tour packages which included shuttle service from the hotel. The Pacific Club Resort was a little oasis in a beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle of Karon town. The roof top swimming pool was just idylic and very peaceful. Stayed at the Pacific Club for 5 nights in a nice room on the 4th floor ( Great view of the ocean). Room was very nice , comfortable bed and spacious. Amenities were excellent including the roof top pool and the herbal steam room and spa on the ground floor, these were available up to midnight each day at no extra charge. Location was good just a 5-10 […] min walk down to Karon Beach. We had a spa service on our last day and my husband had a thai massage with Lilly, which he got great benefit from. Only thing that we felt let this resort down was the reception staff and the restaurant evening food.(Breakfast good) We enquired about a late check out on our arrival and was advised to check on our departure day as they hotel was fully booked. We found that there willingness to help with this wasn't visible . Finally got a late check out on the last day but we were made to feel that this was a great inconvenience for them but we only needed an extra hour til 1.00pm. Enquired about hiring a motor scooter for the next day and the girl at reception seemed very uninterested in making this enquiry. Our other problem was with the vegetarian food that they have on the menu. It was disgusting, no other way to describe it. My husband had spinach & cheese canelloni and it came out tasteless , dry and it appeared that it was frozen then heated in a microwave before serving. I spent 2 days here in april and really enyoyed this hotel. Pool, jaccuzi welcome drink, good tv chanel selection. It is a good 10 mns walk to the beach, going down is not that bad but uphill was a pain. Coming from bangkok where we enjoyed free tuk tuk service to compensate for the distance we really wished the hotel offered such services. We didnt try the spa but as expected services are pricier there than for example local business. We chose this hotel based on rave reviews we read online and finally realized when we arrived that much of the reviews written might have been fake or were made by international travelers on a huge budget. The staff were very nice and made a lot of effort to make our stay comfortable but the overall appeal of the hotel led us to check out 4 nights early […] and stay at another hotel 45 minutes from this location. Although we payed a much higher price at the place we transferred to, it was worth every penny because it really changed the dynamics of our trip to Thailand and our impression of the country as a whole. The room was very clean and care was taken to make sure that our requests were granted but the quality of food and the surrounding areas of the facilities were not up to par. I remember having breakfast in the morning at the buffet and standing by the open window with my cup of coffee. I leaned my head out the open window to view the perimeter of the hotel and was disgusted to find piles of loose trash dumped along the sides of the building (particularly straws from the kitchen scattered loosely on the ground). Even 50 meters down the street from the hotel on the road was what seemed to be a dumping ground for trash. I was sad to see the area the hotel was in wasn't well kept by anyone. The hotel itself was stunning, the design was inspired and the service and facilities are second to none. The herbal steam sauna is absolutely incredible, we were feeling so fit and healthy after using it along with the Jacuzzi every night of our 5 nights there. The bathroom was also large, but the shower had pretty poor water pressure and the water didn’t heat up much. The location isn’t perfect, it’s about 1 or 2km from Karon Beach. However, as I’m sure others will have said, if you want to get out of the hustle and bustle of busier areas on Phuket, this is just the place for you. Situated up a big hill on the side of a mountain, the view from the rooftop pool is stunning rainforest of one side, and beach on the other. It’s very peaceful up there. The restaurant and staff there are also wonderful, we ate there 3 times for lunch and dinner and every day for breakfast. Overall, pretty amazing value for money and the small family owned business feel to the place makes you feel right at home. Next time we will probably stay in Patong or Kata, but only because we are young and preferred those areas to Karon. The resort is a very nice and serene place. Me and my girlfriend shared a wonderful experience there and it is our first trip together as a couple of 4 years. Thank you for making this a memorable experience. All the hotel staff were really helpful. Right from the driver to the bell-boy to the concierge and even the chefs in the restaurant, they were […] super nice to us. some of them even remembered our names. The only down side is, the resort is situated slightly away from the main road and the beach itself (approx. 600m). But it makes for a great opportunity to walk for a bit rather than sitting in a cab from point to point. The massage and spa were definitely the best of it's sort we've experienced. The 2 masseuse, namely Dang and Nong were extremely professional and passionate about what they were doing. They ensured we had an awesome experience and recommended us which package would suit us the best without it being too expensive. Finally, the drivers are both very nice guys who also doubled as our shopping guides. They dropped us at the heart of Bangla Street and mentioned some of the must-trys in Phuket. The cleaners met us on the second day in the lift. they greeted us and asked which room we were in. After which they asked if we wanted our rooms cleaned because we had the "Do Not Disturb" sign left outside all day. The night before, they left us bottles of complimentary water and toilet supplies to replenish, outside the room door just so that they would not have to disturb us. In all, I would really like to thank the Hotel and Staff for this opportunity to stay in their resort. The owner has done a very good job to hire probably the best staff for all aspects to run a successful hotel. I am going to recommend all my friends to stay in this wonderful place. I am trying to make a get-together session with my friends for a trip to Phuket again. And i would ensure I go all out to get them all to stay there!
