Very close to New Haven (10 min drive) and well worth the cost savings by staying outside of the city. Clean, comfortable room with free breakfast right on the beach.

"Reasonable accommodation"
Reasonably clean but tired motel style accommodation. Okay for business travellers but wouldn't take my partner there. Rooms not well noise insulated. Was woken several times by the ice machine being used in the hall outside and an idiot delivery man at 3am with his radio blasting outside. Breakfast at the restaurant was good and great service there […] with a group of older guys who were obviously local and daily users providing good entertainment and putting the world to rights. Location cant be beat, beautiful beach side views, felt like bedding needed changing, found one or two hairs on bedding, not dirty at all, just a little attention needed, customer service was excellent , so was the service for a simple continental breakfast, you're served by waitress a simple but satisfying light meal. Very disappointed. The place just stinks. There is no reason for a place like this to be open. There was a peed cot in the hallway that just made walking through a challenge, to be nice. The room smelled, had to spray my girlfriend's perfume to "de-stink" the place. Not sure if we were unlucky but our bed was UNCOMFORTABLE. Terrible night's rest. Was better off sleeping in my luxury sedan. But you get what you pay for. Cheapest price by far compared to surrounding places to stay. We went to this hotel because our daughter was playing college basketball at The University of Bridgeport. We were so delighted to be right on the ocean, with their own restaurant serving incredible meals but what was the most outstanding was the service. For the price we paid, I cannot complain. The hotel isn't much to look at, but the internet service was reliable, there was a continental breakfast, and it is ocean-front. Some mold in bathroom and motel is old and creaky, but it was clean and comfortable and the the service was GREAT. I would definitely stay there agin if we were in the area.

I am very critical of places that I stay for business, but can honestly say, this is the nicest place I have stayed in 3 years of business travel! Staff was very warm and place was very clean. Resturant on premises and food and service were top notch! I am highly recommending this hotel to everyone!

I wasn't really prepared for this hotel to be located right on the beach. It was a in a very random location not close to anything (including the freeway) but it was cheap and I felt like we got what we paid for. The view was beautiful. Good value, out of the way. Right on the water with a full service restaurant in the same building. The facility is a typical, old resort motel. Don't expect alot of amenities. It is in a safe place and the staff is nice.

"Right on the beach - redone bathrooms"
This was a perfect stop on the way to NYC. Continental breakfast was included, but since it was in a real restaurant, you could order more if you wanted. The bathrooms looked like they had just been redone. The location saves this hotel. If it were just off an interstate, it probably wouldn't stay open. The service was fine, and it was clean enough, but the building is old and worn. I would recommend to someone who has time to locate the hotel. It's on the ocean, so the location is awesome, but finding it was a bit long. The hotel was very nice and cheap. For the price we paid it was wonderful. The beach is right out back and there is a restaurant inside that serves complimentary breakfasts. The only downfall is the room smelled like a stale cigarette

It has a small sandy beach in front of the motel. My room is located beside the ice making machine. I was waken up couple times by the machine. I asked to change room the next day. The lady is nice enough to exchange a room for me. it offer easy breakfast, bread and juice.

"Older, refurbished, spotless."
This is an older motel on the LI sound. It has been refurbished and is spotless. The motel employees were helpful and friendly, especially when we had trouble finding it. Our GPS battery went kaput, and it was 11pm. The desk clerk was very patient guiding us there. In the future we will print out the directions even if we have a gps. Beach is very near from your hotel. We were surprised at the nearness. Break fast is good enjoying the view of the ocean. We had a little difficulty in finding your hotel, but we totally enjoyed staying at your hote, and low rate is wonderful for us. Thank you.

"On the water"
Quaint beach hotel. Arrived after 10 hrs of driving and was able to relax walking on the beach. The room was larger than expected and had a balcony where you could go out and enjoy the waves and water. This hotel is privately owned and although it's older, the owner takes great pride in it's cleanliness. This hotel is not near anything commercial and […] that is what I wanted. They have their own restaurant facing the water attached to the lower level that has great food. With a packed parking lot in the evening you'll realize this is locally the best place to eat. The morning continental breakfast is in the same restaurant and it's sit down with someone serving you. I've never had that in any other hotel!! The locals would meet in this restaurant and have their morning coffee sharing stories. This is not a fast track hotel but if you are in the area, like to get away from the masses and like being among local people, this is your place. Note: this is on beach roads and our GPS didn't recognize that many of the roads don't go straight through. Follow the hotel directions if you want to get there with the least frustration. "Checked in and immediately checked out"
Very disappointed that it did not meet the expections I had after reading all the positive reviews. I made the booking based on other customers' opinions and not on price. Hotel is very shabby and is located far away from any shopping or other attractions. The beach is very small and the boardwalk very short. In fact, it is not really a boardwalk -- […] it is a cement sidewalk along a sea wall. The only restaurant in sight is in the hotel. The bar is open until 1 am and we felt we would be kept up all night by the sounds of people partying. Hallways are very, very narrow and floorboards feel spongy under foot. Lots of peeling paint and wallpaper. Rather than staying, we drove two hours home and turnd around and came back to the Stratford area early the next day to attend a family funeral. I was going to skip the review of this hotel because I don't want word getting out about it. The location was fabulous. It is right on the beach and even the rooms that don't have an ocean facing balcony have a view of Long Island Sound if you are sitting out on the balcony. "lovely break from the city in the city by the beach"
Wished I had booked three nights here instead of one!! Lovely room, nice deck that overlooked the ocean, bar and relatively quiet. Felt like I was not in the city. Long trip and arrived late so did not get a chance to enjoy as much as would have liked.
