"4night stay during off season October 2011"
Room initially clean but had stale cigarette smell. Room NEVER cleaned during stay; NEVER had cans emptied during stay; NEVER supplied with clean towels during stay; HAD to ask for microwave when had paid in advance for one. DURING night the smoke alarm went off repeatedly but no one came when called at frontdesk. "The bare minimum"
There were some flying bugs I was kinda worried about. Bed was comfortable enough although I slept on top of the sheet. TV had static - bad connection somewhere along the line. Shower was nice and hot. The Air conditioner worked fine. So did the little refrig.
"Horrible Owner"
We drove 2 hours to our hotel which we prepaid so we could check in quickly as we had scheduled plans. When we went into the front desk, there was a note saying "will be back in 20 minutes, use payphone to call if you need" leaving a cell number. 15 minutes of waiting I called. The owner said "I need to pick up my kid, be back in 10 minutes". Another […] 20 minutes went by, we call, he does not apologize, he said to wait. He returns with a trunk load of things with his son. When confronted, he told us we had to understand...not one apology, not any sympathy for our situation, but we had to understand his problems. In the room, the TV connection was horrible, could not see a clear picture and the bathroom was not clean. I would not return there if someone PAID me. Baca selanjutnya
We did not stay here. The room assigned had stained carpeting, dirt and crumbs on the bedspread, a dirty bathroom and no shower curtain. On top of that there were 5 guys hanging out in the parking lot. When I went in to say that it was not acceptable, all the receptionist could say that it was after 4 PM so no refund.

"Knights Inn in Old Saybrook"
For an "inexpensive" motel, the place was clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and responded immediately to requests. It's conveniently located to the towns of Old Saybrook, Deep River, Westbrook, Chester, Ivoryton & Essex. There are no meals, no pool, and no amenities but I was quite satisfied with the Inn, the service and the inexpensive […] nightly rate. Would recommend it to any traveling on a budget. "Simple"
It's in walking distance of stores bars and restaurants. It's a simple MOTEL (no room service or many amenities) the room was very clean and it was a relaxing vacation for a cheap price. The pool wasn't open but it was the week before memorial day. It was also a 25 minute drive to Mohegan sun casino, and about 17 minutes to mystic( there's an aquarium […] and a really cool winery called tastings) overall we were pleased! Baca selanjutnya
