I enjoyed my stay .I found all the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean ,within easy reach for me.The location 2 mins walk from Lime Street station,made it so easy to get out and about. Im looking forward to staying again in the near future.

I work in Liverpool and occasionally stay overnight. The Lord Nelson is basic but clean and comfortable, and I've found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. Bear in mind it is next door to a pub and the O2 Academy, so potentially noisy, but when I've stayed its been fine. Very convenient for Lime Station too. Overall an excellent budget hotel.

Checked in hassle free, with a great location next door to Lime Street station and friendly staff at the bar and check in desk. Our room was spacious and clean, although the aerial for the TV wasn't working well, although this wasn't a huge problem as we were going to be out most of the time. So far so good...We got back from our night our at approximately […] 2.30 to find our friends room had been flooded, with a massive leak from the ceiling covering their beds, bags and clothes in water. On discovering this we rushed to reception to tell the nightstaff whose response was to very unhelpfully give us a bucket and tell us to sort it ourselves! Noah and his ark would have been at home with the amount of water in the room, so a bucket wasn't going to touch it! Eventually he left his desk to come and take a look, finally realising the room was unhabitable. It turned out there was an elderly man in the room above who'd left the taps on all night, causing the leaking from the ceiling. There were no spare rooms, fortunately we had a free single bed in our room that our friends could share. The staff the next day were highly apologetic and provided us with a full refund, which we appreciated and understood as this was not their fault, however the response from the nightstaff could have been better. Overall the hotel was pleasant enough and so were the day staff, so we would still consider staying over again in the future as hopefully this was a freak occurrence! Baca selanjutnya

This was the second time I've stayed at the Lord Nelson, and I would not hesitate to stay there again for location and convenience while doing other things in Liverpool. The room was absolutely spotless, the service was friendly and overall, for a low cost, basic service, I don't think there's anything they could have done better.

Overall I enjoyed my stay here. Unfortunately the electricity in my room kept tripping in the evening which took a while to sort out, but the staff were very helpful and pleasant. It was quite noisy at times but this is no reflection on the hotel itself, just a consideration to make if you're a light sleeper! The main draw is the great location just […] near the station, and the cleanliness and comfort of the room was very good. I have booked here again and would definitely do so in the future. The Staff we very friendly and helpful if you needed anything. The gave good advice on recommendations on things to do. The room was comfortable and clean. The only negative that I had was been woken at 7 in the morning outside traffic, which probably should be expected in a hotel near the city center. Very good in every way. Lovely welcome. Great healthy buffet breakfast and coffee served with a smile. Very comfortable room with tea and coffee and very clean. Beside Lime Street station, theatre, 02 Academy and shops. Would recommend it as a hotel for great value, comfort, character friendliness and location.

Lord Nelson Hotel is a 2 star type of accommodation, so do not expect any kind of luxury. The customer service was excellent, at our arrival we were welcomed in a very friendly way. The room we had was big and clean and the bed was alright, the mattress a bit too soft. Breakfast in the morning was just what we needed: toasts, jam, cheese, yogurt, cereals, […] orange juice, coffee and tea. stayed in a big updated front room.It was very clean and had everything you need. Convenient for the Empire theatre and Lime St station. Noisey at times with hen parties returning home in the early hours,but we were in the centre of a city. Breakfast was basic but very nice.

Hotel was very central to all major sights. The hotel staff were very friendly. We had a room at the front which was a bit noisy at times, but this was to be expected due to location. The room was very large with a large bathroom, plus tea making fascilities. Towels were changed daily. Continental breakfast was good. It is a nice place to stay for a night or two. Building is itself kinda old, but rooms were clean. Did not use their bar. Staff was fine too, ready to answer any questions. You could hear someone walking in the corridor, but that's about it, was not noisy at all. It's biggest benefit is it's location, right next to Lime Street Station.

I felt the room was over-priced for what it had to offer. The bed was not made until after I checked in. There is no soap in the bathroom and no phone in the room. The tv is too big for the room. The hotel was ok; the breakfast a bit poor though and the lift was not working. The doors on every floor are difficult to open and make a noise. The staff […] were friendly and helpful. However, they failed to keep the noise level down during the night. The corridor was swarming with drunken noisy guests hanging around or going from one room to the other and the staff failed to discipline them, despite the fact there are cameras, so they must have been aware of it. Very welcoming on the reception on arrival, and were able to store our bags before check-in time of 2pm. The room was tidy, but the shower head bracket was broken and no mirror was available in the bedroom its self. it was very convienient for the purpose of our stay.

Convenient location and good value for money.The room had recently been re-furbished,whist small it was clean and comfortable.There is a problem with outside noise and a notice in the hotel alerts you to this.Breakfast was good and overall you get what you pay for.

I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The room was refurbished, spacious (we even got a triple-bed instead of a double), bathroom new and clean, breakfast with good selection, staff very helpful and friendly, and the locatiuon fantastic. Would stay there again.

We stayed at the Lord Nelson for 25 days. We were visiting family in Liverpool and regularly travelled to their place by train. It was only a 2 minute walk to Lime Street Station with frequent trains to most UK destinations. The staff were all friendly and quickly met any need we had. The continental breakfast was all we needed; cereal, juice, yoghurt, […] toast and preserves, ham, fruit and tea or coffee. We had heard that it could be noisy but we had no problems at all in our 3rd floor room. The room was quite spacious with a comfortable bed and large modern TV. The bathroom was large with good water pressure in the shower. Hanging space is limited but we managed ok. The hotel has been largely renovated with only the lift still to be upgraded. The lift doesn't look good but is quite functional. When we left we had a night flight from Manchester. Although checkout was 11am, we were willing given a free late checkout after 3pm which was much appreciated. We would certainly stay there again with the reasonable rates and free breakfast and would recommend it to others for its central, convenient location. Baca selanjutnya

From previous reviews I was nervous about my stay here. However the man on the reception immediately put my fears at rest, he was very welcoming and helpful. The front and reception of the hotel are more like a hostel but my room was definitely a hotel room. It was comfortable, clean and there was hot water for the shower at 11pm.

The two guys that I saw that worked there was the most helpful and sweet employes EVER! We watched the game together and they where so friendly and loved to talk :D I will stay in the hotel every time I go back to Liverpool! Close to shopping, transport, friendly and reasonably priced. Excellent value for money. Only negative comment would be that it could do with double glazing to block out some noise.

I did not expect such a good accomodation for the price ! Breakfast is decent, staff friendly, location is great, especially if you are to take the train. The only thing that disappointed me was the lack of shampoo and bath gel.

The hotel was easy to find as it was so close to the Lime street railway station and the Empire Theatre. The staff were all lovely are friendly (even at 5.55am when I departed from the hotel!!!!). It was nice that the lifts weren't used between 10.00pm and 7.00am so it was less noisy so I slept better. the hotel is going through a refurbishment at the moment but it did not impact on our holiday in anyway the staff were very helpful and friendly It would have been nice to have a cooked breakfast but what the hotel provided was a good choice

For the price, it is excellent. Comfortable bed, good shower, nice breakfast, wi fi and bar area. And it is in a handy location.

Hotel is undergoing refurbishment so we took that into account. Little things like no drawers for clothing and no wast bin in bathroom. Also we could not get hot water although my daughter on another floor could This did not matter much as we were only staying a night. Daughter had a single room and said there was hair on the sheets on her bed. However […] hopefully once the refurbishment is completed things should improve. The rooms had just been updated and were very clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to hang the towels in the bathroom, there were no hooks or towel rails. Only stayed Tuesday to Friday, Tuesday and Thursday night were quiet but on Wednesday the rock music could be heard from 10:30 pm to 2:00 am. Staff were very friendly but completely misled about the room: the booking options I had was room with breakfast or without breakfast. The websites (both Expedia and the Hotel's) said that all rooms come with TV sets and power showers. My room had neither, only a bath! I could have gone without the TV but I needed fast access to a shower in the morning […] and was left with no choice but to buy a portable shower kit from Argos to hook up to the bath taps. Only one power socket in the room that worked and it was nowhere near the tables with the lamp and electric kettle. Also WiFi did not work in the hotel room. Unable to switch rooms as the hotel was fully booked. The only good thing about it was the price and the convenience of the location - right next to Liverpool Lime Street station. Baca selanjutnya
