"Particularly good example of a Holiday Inn Express"
We stayed here while passing through on the way back up to MI on 6/28/12. The lady working the front desk was one of the most cheerful and professional that I've had the pleasure of dealing with. I'd already pre-booked through Expedia that same morning, so check in was a breeze. When we got there, they were in the midst of some building renovations […] on the outside. I was told that the hotel is under new management, and the new manager is very particular about the condition of the building. This impressed me because I've seen a lot of hotels at this price level, and they are not all managed well. This isn't the cheapest place in town - but if you're looking for a really decent, clean place to stay in White House - I don't think you can go wrong staying at this Holiday Inn Express. White House, TN has the typical chain restaurants you'd expect to see - but we like to avoid those whenever possible and figure out where the locals go. Room was very run down wallpaper peeling off walls. Did not do a very good job cleaning the room the next day. Didn't wipe off counters in the bathroom or leave clean cups or liner for ice bucket. The staff was very nice but it was very busy when we were checking in only had one person working trying to check in multiple families and answer phones. The hotel was pretty nice. They seemed a bit understaffed at the front desk. It is a pet friendly hotel, lots of guests had dogs. There was a problem with the water heater on our last day and we had no hot water which was very upsetting. They did discount the room for the last night as a result, but I had to ask for a dikscount. It is a bit far away […] from Nashville, so not as convenient as I had hoped. "Holiday Express Hotels are the best"
Holiday Inn Express is quickly becoming my new favorite hotel. This was our last stop on a month-long trip around the US, which included several stays at these hotels. Most are new with excellent ammenities and this was no exception. They also accept pets, but you never hear noise from anyone's pets. The receptionist (April) was very friendly and accommodating. […] Our room was comfortable, clean and had a microwave and fridge. The warm cinnamon rolls at breakfast in these hotels and delicious and this one even had chips, salsa and cookies in the afternoon!
