Hotel is older but in decent shape. Room was basically clean, beds were comfortable. Both swimming pools were clean and enjoyable. The hotel is centrally located which is nice. They have a "continental" breakfast but it leaves a lot to be desired. Could use a lot of improvement there. Overall our stay was nice and we would go back to James Manor ag […] ain. I love the location of this hotel especially on the weekends when traffic is heavy. You can leave your car parked and walk to get something to eat, shop, or play in the arcade. The hotel is clean. The rooms and balcony were much bigger than I had expected which was nice. The rooms were very clean with the exception of the mattresses which could use to be changed. They were old, hard and the last day we were there I had notice blood stains on the side of the boxspring which was gross. This is an older hotel and the room had a bit of a funky smell. You eventually get used to the smell. The hotel itself was clean and maintained. Don't bother with the breakfast at the hotel. We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. Convenient to everything. The breakfast was OK. We ate it. For the price we paid we were satisfied. Don't understand some of the negative comments.

This was our 2nd time to stay at the James Manor. The most impressive thing about the hotel is that it is extremely clean. There are no "frills", but it is just a good place to stay especially with an indoor and outdoor pool for the kids. Not a place we will stay again. It was a very run down hotel with poor maintenance. The pools were dirty with tons of chlorine. The hot tub was scary filthy. The bath tub drain was broken off and had a very sharp shaft sticking up out of the hole. We had to stuff rags in the drain to give my boys a bath. The breakfast was terrible. Really liked staying here. Very close to all the main attractions. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The olny complaint I have is the inside pool was way too warm and way too salty. We went to the outside pool which was great. Also the rates were very reasonable. Will stay here again

I made these reservations a couple of months in advance for a whole week. I requested a room with the balcony that was on the front of the hotel, facing the parkway. I even called the weekend before my trip to make sure that the room was as I requested. Well... We get there and they have us a room on the BACK, with the view of the parking lot and the […] construction of another hotel behind us. We heard the construction work during the day too. When we saw this, I asked what happened to our room with the front balcony. the lady was very clip and said she would try to see if she could change us, but she doubted it, since we were staying the whole week. We waited a few minutes, while she waited on other customers, then I finallly said just forget it. The housekeeping team was nice, but the front desk , not so much. I won't stay there anymore.. We stayed here one night. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were in need of some updating, but it was very satisfactory for the night.

The James Manor was nice, not exceptional. They had a nice indoor pool, the room was an adequate size, and the complementary breakfast was very good.

We really enjoyed our stay with James Manor. The location was excellent. It was right on the strip, had a trolley stop directly in front, a beautiful view of the mountains (if your room is on the front) and you could walk to lots of places. The room was sparkling clean. It was great to sit outside, drinking my morning coffee and watch the mists roll through the mountains. I noticed others complained about the bathrooms being small, but they seemed fine to me. Service was excellent. FAST, easy check in. Desk clerk was helpful and polite. Our housekeeper cleaned the room daily and brought fresh towels. We enjoyed relaxing in the indoor pool and hot tub after a late dinner. As long as you are not disturbing other guests, they let you stay in the pool as late as you want. There were towels provided at the pool area so you didn't have to use the ones from your room.There was also a gameroom with a pool table, and a gym. The WiFi worked great the entire time. The breakfast was simple but good. Hot make-them-yourself waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereal, donuts, juice, coffee. The lady who was overseeing the breakfast area was sweet and helpful and made sure there was always plenty of food available. There is a pancake house directly next door and another one across the street. The only cons were the indoor pool had alot of chlorine and the beds were a bit hard for my taste, however these would by no means prevent me from staying here again. This is the second time that we have stayed in this hotel. Very nice! Clean! Love that it has 2 pools, this way if one is full you can go to the other. It is very convenient to be able to walk to other shops and attractions. Also, you can get on the back street and miss alot of traffic. when i checked in the lady at the desk was very rude. while bringing in luggage she kept eyeballing us like we were doing something wrong. only saw her that once. thank goodness. the rest of stay was great. hotel staff was friendly, very attentive. maid would clean our room no matter how late we were leaving room. breakfast was very good. only problem […] served only till 9:30. indoor pool was nice a little to hot but clean. wish indoor pool was open later. closed at 12 and sometimes we didnt get back from sights till 11 or after and wanted to cool off so had to hurry and change to swim. all rooms had balconies. nice to set out at night and watch parkway or during day and see mountains. furnished towels for pool so didnt have to use room towels. got a great rate with hotels.com. would definately stay again with another great rate. This hotel is very nice!! You can tell that it is one of the older hotels, but it is very well maintained!! The breakfast was good! The indoor pool was very warm and inviing and the outdoor pool was great for the kids. Close to everything! Walking distance to a gocart fun place and the Comedy Barn! The staff was very friendly and helpful the whole stay, […] however, they could use more evening help the poor girl that was there by herself was ran ragged. Very nice hotel. Loved the indoor and outdoor pool, as well as the hot tub. Very quiet. Loved the balcony but was concerned with sharing a balcony with the room next door. However the "neighbors" we had were considerate and didn't make a lot of noise after hours.

Our room was very nice and clean. Very pleased with our stay. Loved the breakfast. We made our own waffles on the waffle iron and tried the gravy biscuits, they were also good. Will stay at James Manor again!

Enjoyed having a balcony with the room. Complimentary breakfast could use some improvement. Choices did not include any breakfast meats (sausage, bacon, etc.).

The room was as expected. However, on the day we checked out we found blood stains on the side of the box spring and blood stains on the wall, down by the box spring. When I explained this to the front desk manager, she seemed concerned but didn't give us a discount. I wouldn't recommend James Manor as I feel a that if housekeeping had done their job […] properly the blood would have been found when changing the sheets. This makes me doubt that they have set a high enough standard of overall cleanliness and sanitation of rooms. Baca selanjutnya

The room was O.K. as far as cleanliness, but the climate control did not work (heating or air), there was no way to turn off the balcony light which resulted in having to hang a blanket over the door to keep out the light, no roll away bed was available ( because they do not accomodate roll away beds), no itinerary in theroom, and I had to leave a note […] to receive condoments for coffee. I agree with many of the other reviews as to the cleanliness of the hotel. The size and condition of the room was above average for the price. I also think that the breakfast needs a few more items to keep up with what is being offered at many other hotels. Overall though, we were happy with our stay.

Arrived 3:00 9/24/10 the person at the desk was not friendly and did not tell us our rooms were not ready. We found out only when we went upstairs and had to wait. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was lacking a lot, but I had read the other reviews about it and was not expecting much and that is what we got. In the middle of town and the staff was very friendly. Would go back again if going back to that area.

James Manor was a great place to stay. Check in was slow but the hotel made up for it. Very clean and comfortable. Our room was on the top floor but the view made it worth while. Our small children, 8 and 9, loved the pool and the room was the perfect size for us. The breakfast could use more variety but was okay. Definitely going to stay again and […] again. I spent 3 nights at James Manor. The room and bathroom was spotless. The bed was extremely comfortable. My only dissatisfaction with the room was the lighting - no light near the table so it was hard to see when sitting there. The 'continental' breakfast wasn't great - cereal, donuts, toast, instant oatmeal and something hot to put on biscuits. But […] the breakfast area was also spotless and there was a warm, friendly attendant who kept everything stocked. Everyone at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and clean. My husband really enjoyed the balcony. The location is in the middle of "everything". Driving distances were very short and you could walk to a great go-kart place, a pankcake house and a great family attraction called The Comedy Barn. The go kart place pretty much stayed open until there were no more customers […] so sometimes they were still running rides at midnight. This wasn't a bother to us but if you're looking for total quiet you might not want to stay next to a go-kart track. We will definitely continue to stay at the James Manor. Baca selanjutnya

very clean, convenient to everywhere, polite employees,clean pool and fast check in and out.

The cleaning staff never left us new coffee cups or water glasses and they never gave us a new plastic bag for the ice bucket for 2 days. It was 102 degree heat index and we would turn the air on and leave the curtains closed so it would stay cool and they would always open the curtain when they left which let all the sun in and heated up the room. […] For the money it was o.k. though. There are 7 floors to this establishment. Hotels.com booked us on the top floor and the very last room! We thought, oh no this is gonna be the worst stay. It was one of the most pleasurable. There was no noise, and the elevator was right outside our door. WE LOVE THIS MOTEL AND WILL STAY THERE AGAIN. THIS WAS OUR SECOND VISIT TO THIS MOTEL. THE ONLY THING I WISH THEY WOULD CHANGE IS ADDING WAFFLES TO THE BREAKFAST.

This hotel was clean, quiet and the staff was friendly. The room was larger than many hotel rooms, but the bath was very small.

It was a nice stay there. There are 2 pools, one inside and other outside. There is also a hot tub located by the inside pool. The is free wifi there; there is also a computer by the front desk with a computer for your personal use if you didnt bring one. I only have 2 negatives about it. My family is a repeat customer to the James Manor. I have traveled there with my son and felt as safe as staying at home. Staff is helpful and friendly. Great free breakfast. Indoor and outdoor pools are great for kid entertainment. They have a small gameroom and also a fitness room all at an affordable price.
