Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a higher floor so that we could have a better view. Bed was so comfortable I could have stayed there and slept for 24 hrs, but we had to leave! Bathroom had a bath which was very welcome when most accommodation has very pokey bathrooms. Will definitely stay here again when back in Edinburgh.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise, the room was great, quiet, and modern. Loved it and I will be staying at Apex hotels more often. A couple of observations, anyone with bulky luggage arriving by train may not want to follow the walking directions to the hotel provided on their website, it involves going up and down a couple of flights of stairs. Also, […] the isolated door where the instructions lead to can also be deceptively suspicious, don't be intimidated by it, just ring the bell to get the door opened for you and take the elevator to the lobby level. 2 nights in Edinburgh made stress free by the staff of the Apex Waterloo Place Hotel. Friendly and interested. The hotel was spotless. The room was immaculate. A 3 course meal in the restaurant was first class. Recommend to all!

Great value for money. Good size rooms. Staff were very helpful and held our cases as we arrived before check in time. When we went back to check in staff had put our cases in our room already. Would definately stay there again.

Our bags were lost when we landed in Edinburgh and as soon as we got to the hotel and told them, one of the receptionists called the airline immediately and got on the case. When we got to our room, I didn't like it because I prefer rooms facing the street rather than the interior. I called and the room was switched immediately, we didn't have to go […] back to reception, we were just told to meet someone on the floor with the new room. The place was clean, and well maintained. LINDA, the concierge was AMAZING! She had a wealth of information and she was genuinely interested in us having a good experience. She gave us plenty of pointers and information places to visit. Lastly, we took a day trip into the highlands with the heart of Scotland tours and the pick up point was LITERALLY across the street from the hotel. A+! Baca selanjutnya

We were on a short city break. The weather was not the best, so we availed of the food in the bar more than we usually would on such trips. We found it very good and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Location was great. Would recommend.

Lovely hotel in the new part of town. Just a 15 minute walk through town to some of the main tourist attractions (Castle, Palace) and in a great neighborhood, close to lots of shops and restaurants. Try a walk down Leith Walk to explore the more local/ethnic cuisine that Edinburgh has to offer.

Brilliant location, very comfortable bed, lovely staff. The room was a little masculine for two girls - perhaps designed around the male commuter - but it was fine for the one night we were there. We had a wonderful stay at the Apex Waterloo. The location is absolutely perfect- about 3 minutes away from North Bridge straight across to the Royal Mile. This hotel was excellent, although we did not use the spa facilities or the restaurant. The prices listed for breakfast seemed expensive, but there are plenty of nice eateries nearby, more reasonably priced. Car parking is not easy, particularly on a Saturday night, onstreet bays were full. Ask advice of the hotel on booking, they have a reduced rate with a car park in the area, which we were unaware of. Very clean, comfortable, well appointed hotel, with pleasant, helpful staff. Excellent concierge and generally the hotel was the standard I expect of the Apex. The spa was a little cold in the areas between the pool and steam rooms but that's a minor niggle.

Most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in!

We would definitely stay here again if we return. We had two rooms - both were bright and recently updated with nice king sized beds. The staff was very helpful, particularly the concierge, who walks around the bar/lobby checking on everyone about how their day was and making suggestions for what to do or where to eat.

A very nice hotel, right near the train station and a fairly easy walk to all of the major tourist attractions. There are lots of hotels that are closer to stuff like the castle, but Edinburgh is so compact it's not an issue. The staff were excellent, room was great and it was a very enjoyable (and hassle free) stay. Highly recommended.

We are so please we found a fantastic hotel for a treat to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The concierge was excellent (Linda I think), the food and drink was of a high standard and the staff were very friendly, polite and welcoming. When we return to Edinburgh, we will definitely be staying in this hotel again!

We've stayed here before and found the hotel to be excellent. As before we found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the double room was clean and spacious. The hotel is just a five minute walk from the train station, and our main reason for staying, the Edinburgh Playhouse. We had a great time and would highly recommend the Apex Waterloo.

We had a lovely time at the Apex Waterloo Place Hotel. The location was excellent, right in the centre of Edinburgh, only a short walk to the shops, galleries, castle and Arthurs Seat! The room was very nice, luxurious bathroom, big TV, complimentary refreshments. We used the gym, spa, pool and sauna - all of which were perfect. The only complaint (from […] my partner) is that there were no heavy weight machines in the gym, only light free weights, but that didn't bother me! We had a superior room but when we arrived it was stiflingly hot. When we turned down the heating ( it had been set at 27 degrees) we noticed a horrendous damp smell throughout the room and bathroom. As we were only saying one night and were going out for the night we didn't bother to ask for a move. The room (apart from the smell) was huge,with an […] equally huge bathroom - the walk in shower alone would take a football team! The expresso coffee was very good. The bar area was very nice but can't comment on breakfast as we declined the offer - £10 each is a bit steep even in Edinburgh. The hotel is central to the tourist sights and was very clean, comfortable with excellent facilities. I would recommend the breakfast as it was good value for money. Great service all round - would definitely stay there again.

Overall a great place to stay for a getaway, facilities top notch as were the staff. Restaurant was affordable and the atmosphere welcoming. My partner had a couple if spa treatments and was over the moon. Gum and pool very adequate for being in a city centre hotel.

Room on 10th floor was nice and quiet. Bathroom spacious and well appointe . Nice fluffy towels. Bedroom whilst not large was well laid out and view of Calton Hill. Will stay here again.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights over new year. The hotel has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and the spa, pool and gym are great. The choice at breakfast is great - continental and cooked. We will bebooking this hotel again.

We stayed at the Apex Waterloo hotel for Hogmanay and everything was spectacular. The hotel was very sleek and modern and the service was unbelievable. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful! We actually arrived early and early check in was not an issue. It was very easy to walk to from the Waverley train station and all other popular attractions […] (prince street, royal mile, calton hill, castle, arthur's seat, etc.). The hotel is very close to everything but noise is not an issue because it is right out of the hustle and bustle of the center of the city. Even during Hogmanay (the New Year's celebration/one of the busiest times of the year) we didn't experience any problems with noise. To top it all off the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. We chose this hotel because it's close to Waverley and Princes Street and has a pool, much appreciated after a long day's travel with my eight-year-old. I could tell right away that the hotel catered more to adults than kids, but both the morning and evening staff went out of their way to be kind to my son, so no problem there. Our room was very comfortable […] and modern, with lots of wardrobe space, firm bed with nice pillows, an enormous tv and walk-in shower (the sleek shower head was a bit small for my liking, a minor complaint). Skipped the restaurant and headed straight for the pool, which is by the spa and gym, accessed through the shower rooms. The pool is all atmosphere, dimly lit with piped-in (low-volume) music, but it worked for us. Then to bed, very quiet, and the 6:30 wake-up call was right on time. A short but enjoyable stay!
