"River view"
This hotel is right on the water in Rotterdam. It is a couple of stops with the subway from Central Station followed by a bus connection (4 stops) or a 10-15 min walk. Hotel is very new and in very clean and good condition. And of course there is something unique about a vintage ocean liner!
"Interesting alternative in Rotterdam"
Staying at the ss Rotterdam was like going back in time to the 50's - on board a oceanliner. It was much better then expected! Cabin or room was very nice with ample space, even if we took the lowest fare. It is very nice to sit on the after deck and have a drink in the evening, overlooking the city of Rotterdam. The vessel is big - so be prepared to […] walk and don't forget to take the tour of the vessel! This gives a very good inpression on how it was in those days. All in all, we found it to be a very good alternative compared to "normal" hotels in Rotterdam. If anything, the location almost request you to come by car. but doing so, parking is not a problem. "Rotterdam pure"
We went to the Cruise Hotel for one weekend and got a special price for it, as we stayed for three nights. There are a few errors which showed up. I consider them more severe than my boy-friend, so you judge for yourself. When we arrived, the lady at the reception didn't tell us where to go in order to find our room. That is only a little point, but […] I think should be happening if you are checkin in such a high star rated hotel. Our room (inside cabin) was cuuuuge. Really really good. What was not that good is that our bathroom was not clean. You could see it on the toilet seat - bit disgusting. I phoned the reception to tell and asked whether they could clean it the next day. The cleaning lady did NOT. That was about the worst point that weekend. I couldn't find the cleaninglady, but when I saw cleaning stuff lying on the floor, I simply did I myself. The next day, a really good cleaning lady came around though and did the bathroom and room all over. After that I was sure that the whole bathroom wasn't clean in the first instance, because this cleaning lady did this triangle thing with the toilet paper, which was not on the toilet paper when we first arrived there. On our last day, the "mini bar" man came in without knocking on the door. That was weird. Fortunately we were just chatting ;) Then, he closed the door and we heard a lady from the hotel asking him "Is there anyone in there" - He denied and she came in without knocking as well. At least she looked puzzled to the mini bar man. She came in with a letter telling us that it will be Sinta Klaas the day after and therefore the hotel prepared a little something. We just need to put out our shoes that night together with the carrots she had in hand. That was a really cute idea. We got huuuuge chocolate letters (these great Dutch sweeties :D ). "Great hotel, terrible location"
This hotel is far from anything of interest, and the bus comes by only once every half hour on some days. It could use a shuttle to the metro.
THE SS ROTTERDAM IS A VERY NICE HOTEL ,BUT THERE IS A LOT OD NEGATIVE POINT , THE SERVICE IS VERY ,VERY BAD , THE GIRLS ON THE RECEPTION ARE SNOB , SULKY FACES THEY SPEAK ENGLISH BUT THEY DON T UNDERSTOOD NOTHING, BUT NOTHING AT ALL . THE RESTAURANT ONLY TWO ONE IS EXPENSIVE THE OTHER ONE THE HAMBEURGER IS ABOUT 16 EURO, 20 US DOLLARS .THE BREAKFAST […] 7/7 SAME FOOD ONLY SMALL THING CHANGE 1 A WEEK .RROM MAID ,ROOM CLEANING IS THE WORST HOTEL EVER NEVER SEEING YOU CAN NOT IMAGINE HOW BAD IT IS , IF YOU STAY 10 DAYS IN THE ROOM THEY WILL CHANGE YOUR SHEET FOR THE BED ONLY ONE TIME DURING YOUR STAY , THE VACUUM IN THE ROOM THOSE NOT EXIST YOU SHOULD CALL THE RECEPTION EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO DO THE VACUUM . . "Nice rooms, minor glitches"
This is a very nice hotel. Everything is brand new and quite high standard. The only issue is that since it is a boat walls are pretty thin. That means you will probably be able to hear things from from the cabin next to you.

It's all about the boat. You are staying in a tourist sight! Rooms comfortable, though a bit dark, because there are just a couple of portholes. Sitting on one of the loungers takes one back to the golden days. Because there are so many rooms, the breakfast is however quite over busy. Perhaps aim to get there early to relive the elegance. "SS Rotterdam"
Leuk hotel nette kamer mt zelfs een kitchenette. De badkamer beetje krap met een te kleine wastafel en een douche met douchegordijn. Ontbijtservice op de kamer was wel heel erg prijzig en dat voor een koud eitje zonder zout en te weinig boter. De ambiance van het hotel maakt wel weer een boel goed
"Außergewöhnliches Hotel - Frühstück enttäuschend"
Hotel, Zimmer, Service gut Absolute Ruhe, jedoch etwas gewöhnunggsbedürftig die Klimaanlage mit leichtem Geräusch Frühstück war enttäuschend, Sebstbedienung mit Tablett wie in der Kantine. Aber sonst einwandfrei und weiterzuempfehlen.

Je waant je in vervlogen tijden. Overnachten is een must ( neem wel een executive room anders zie je geen daglicht) . Personeel is zeer vriendelijk en duidelijk geïnstrueerd om het u naar de zin te maken. Ook de tour is buitengewoon interessant voor jong en oud.

De airco deed het niet helemaal zoals je zou verwachten in een kamer zonder ramen. De kamer zag er goed uit. De bedden waren uitstekend! Bewegwijzering in het schip is onvoldoende.

"Cruise Hotel - fljótandi tímavél?"
Fallegt hótel og óvenjulegt. Viðeigandi að gista í fyrrum skemmtiferðaskipi þegar dvalist er í hafnarborginni Rotterdam. Svolítið afskekkt miðað við miðbæ og verslanir, en hægt að leigja hjól á hótelinu. Veitingastaðurinn ágætur og þjónustan til fyrirmyndar.

Op vrijdagavond naar "De vrienden van Amstel live" gegaan en er gelijk een hotel bij geboekt (cruisehotel). Het is echt net of je ieder moment weg kan gaan varen! Alles in authentieke staat, je het hier écht het idee dat je terug stapt in de tijd en na één nacht al heb je het idee dat je al een hele vakantie gehad hebt! Prima hotel, lekker eten wel reserveren! Verder vind ik dat er beter schoongemaakt kan worden. Onder de bank in het restaurant lag zoveel stof.....ook andere niet direct zichtbare plekken verdienen aandacht! Is een verbeterpuntje! Verder zeker aan te raden! Wij zaten in een suite en het uitzicht is super!

"Cruise Hotel Rotterdam"
It's a charming step back in time to the early 60's, but it has the feel of a hotel that isn't finished yet. A must for all shipping or steam era nostalgia junkies though. The state rooms, ball room, restaurants & cabins (rooms) are all excellently laid out & beautifully renovated to their original glory. My gripe with the place was the the access […] between the public areas or promenade decks and the rooms. You spend a lot of time trying to get around the ship in narrow and dirty little corridors, unlocking fire doors & less time actually enjoying the decks or the history. Note to management: The rooms were spotless,but the corridors need some TLC. A rubbish sack left on the floor for several hours, dirty marks on the walls, should do better. Baca selanjutnya

Espace insolite qui offre un voyage dans le temps tout en restant à quai. Ambiance totale assurée par la musique des années 50. Chambres spacieuses au mobilier d'époque. Nous avions choisi une chambre avec fenêtre et décor Bahamas. Très grand lit très confortable

Omdat het hotel nog niet zo lang bestaat, heeft het natuurlijk nog een aantal kinderziektes, bijv: de communicatie onderling en wat wij ook heel opvallend vonden was de menu-kaart in het lido restaurant! Te gecompliceerde gerechten en te prijzig!!!!

Väldigt otrevlig nattpersonal i receptionen. Kallt i rummet, som dessutom lutade eftersom vi fick ett rum helt i änden på skeppet. Vattnet rann inte ned i duschen och orsakade översvämning i badrummet. Kan dessvärre inte rekommendera detta hotellet.

"Sehr schönes Schiff"
Man sollte versuchen ein Zimmer in der mitte des Schiffs zu bekommen, da dort die Bullaugen senkrecht in der Wand sind und somit viel mehr Licht ins Zimmer kommt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer am Bug des Schiffes und die Bullaugen sind hier schräg eingebuat und liegen in einem ca. 1 Meter tiefen Kasten, sodass hier nicht viel Licht eingedrungen ist. leider ist der Parkplatz sehr teuer und die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen über. Die Kaffeemaschiene war sehr dreckig, ebenfalls die Bettwäsche und das Waschbecken. Die Damen an der Rezeption könnten auch freundlicher sein. Der Weg zu Hotelzimmer war sehr lang, da es nur einen Zugang gibt. Also im Brandfall nicht zu empfehlen. Vriendelijk personeel. Goeie informatie over busverbindingen naar o.a. het centrum van Rotterdam. Wel rekening checken, want het is vreemd dat je al op je incheckdatum vanaf 15.00 uur een ontbijt zou hebben gehad, echter dit is niet specifiek cruise hotel gerelateerd, behoor je altijd te doen.
"Bemærkning til ophold på Cruise Hotel i Rotterdam"
Vi kørte længe rundt i havnekvarteret i Rotterdam for at finde "Cruise Hotel" inden det gik op for os at skibet hedder SS Rotterdam. Det ville være smart at skrive i bookingmaterialet at de to navne er identiske. På værelset var ved ankomst 2 papkopper og to kaffebrikker til kaffemaskinen. Vi brugte kopper og kaffe allerede den første dag og der blev […] ikke sørget for erstatning ved rengøring, selv om vi havde værelset i tre dage. Der var heller ingen håndsæbe ved ankomsten. Generelt er vi meget tilfredse med vores ophold på SS Rotterdam og vil bestemt overveje at benytte os af skibet igen. Specielt én af de ansatte på skibet, Lidia, var hjælpsom med at finde et spisested i byen den første aften. En stor rose til Lidia:-). Baca selanjutnya

Zeer goed, geeft je een ander sfeer, als je gewend bent om in hotels te vertoeven tijdens het reizen. Is een welkome afwisseling om op zo,n hotel schip te vertoeven

"Cruise hotel SS Rotterdam"
Voordeel vond ik vooral dat je per kamer boekt en niet per persoon. Kamer zag er zeer netjes uit, alles aanwezig. Was voor mij zeer gunstig gezien de ligging t.o.v. het Erasmus Ziekenhuis. Op mijn vraag bij uitchecken wat de makkelijkste c.q. snelste weg was naar het Erasmus kreeg ik te horen: de watertaxi: één telefoontje, achter de boot opstappen […] op een speciale pier en na 5 minuten stond ik al bij de Euromast! Snel geregeld en gemakkelijk. Ik was reeds voorbereid op een busrit en 1 x overstap metro maar dat was dus helemaal niet nodig! Ga zeker nog een keer terug, maar dan op een toeristische wijze. Het was een ware belevenis, om hier een nacht door te mogen brengen. Er wordt al naarstig naar een volgende datum gezocht. Je waant je in de tijden van weleer, maar ook weer niet. een Top ervaring.

De "Rotterdam" is in alle opzichten een fantastische bestemming voor een heerlijk relaxed verblijf. Zeer gastvrij en goed geinstrueerd personeel. Alles loopt perfect. Prachtige "buitenhutten" met alle comfort. Met mooi weer heerlijk op het "Promenadedek" op de deckchairs bediend worden. Ontbijt (niet inbegrepen). Wij kozen voor de eenvoudige versie, […] prima! Erg leuk vaartochtje met de watertaxi naar 't centrum. Eten bij "Mooi" in de Oude Binnenhaven is een aanrader. Erg tevreden en wij komen zeker op dit schip terug Baca selanjutnya

Et værelse med ikke ret meget plads og ingen vinduer er ikke særlig spændende, og det ligger i et boligkvarter 20 minutters gang fra noget, der er interessant at se på.

Ambiance très particulière pour cette hôtel atypique. Cabines très confortables, du luxe partout, on se sent vraiment sur un bâteau de croisière sans en avoir les inconvénients (on reste comme sur la terre ferme). Seule chose désagréable pour ce séjour étant le bruit que nous avons dû supporter d'une fête dans la salle audessus de notre cabine, une […] fois le vendredi soir jusqu'à minuit et puis le samedi soir un mariage jusqu'à 1h30 ou 2h00 du matin avec en plus une simulation d'évacuation d'urgence à 1h30. est-ce que par hasard ou parcequ'on savait que personne pouvait dormir à cause du vacarme?!?
