The Waynesville Inn Golf Resort and Spa - Waynesville

This was a great deal for the money! One of our most favorable stays. The breakfast was more than we expected and surpassed our expectations. Close and convenient to highway and places to eat and shop. Would recommend to friends and family! Probably will stay here again!

This was my 2nd stay at the Waynesville Inn in the past 4 months. While the 1st time my room was in the historic part of the inn, which I found more charming, the newer accommodations in the Brookside section were clean, comfortable and a great value. Fabulous breakfast both visits.

The Waynesville Inn and Country Club is a turn of the century beautiful old structure with modern amentities. Great place to stay, outstanding breakfast buffet, great golf, and beautiful old finished wood-work.

We had a great view, large, comfortable room with 2 chairs, not just one. Worth much more than what we paid.

My fiance, daughter, and myself stayed here last week over valentines day. When pulling up to the hotel, the main building looked very nice and welcoming. Then when going to our room (which was not in the main building.. i started to worry just a bit.. the other hotel buildings looked a little "run down". so we found our building and our room, and when […] we walked in.. my thoughts changed.. it was a very nice and spacious room, and overlooked the 7th hole of the golf course. i had read before about people saying the rooms were soo outdated.. but in my opinion.. when up in the mountains.. that is the kind of room i like to be in. there was a lot of wood in the room and it just really felt like a little cabin almost.. exactly what i like to be in, in a place like this. the beds were decent, i didnt have any trouble sleeping on them, and the tv was an old tube tv, but hey.. we only watched it while laying in bed before going to sleep. the room was immaculate. the bathroom was very clean and very nice. and the balcony was just a normal area with a cheap table and chairs.. but they were comfortable. the view was spectacular, we got to see a lot of the 7th hole from out room and beyond that were the mountains. i could not have been happier with the room. let me go on to the other amenities of the hotel. the free breakfast was probably the best breakfast i have ever had at a hotel.. there was anything you wanted and tons of it. the staff was very nice and we even had a waitress. id have to say the best part about it on the first day was that it was snowing outside while we ate breakfast.. it was really nice. also the hotel has a little sports bar called the tap room. we went there on our last night. i got a HUGE burger and a plate of french fries that i couldnt even finish on my own, for under 9 dollars. the burger was comparable to a high end restaurant that serves burgers. it was one of the best ive had in a long time. also they had a great selection of beer. i had a shock Baca selanjutnya

Great all around from service to location. Our room looked out onto the golf course. I plan on staying here again

we liked our room and for what we paid we think it was worth it. The only negative part or our trip was the front desk guy. Not frendly at all he never said good morning or anything everytime we would pass by his desk. Very efficent worker maybe but not friendly to customers. Excellent Location , really nice play to stay.

My family and I recently stayed at this resort. We had a fabulous time. Our room was very spacious and was able to accommodate both a roll away bed and a crib with plenty of space to move around. The hotle was centrally located with easy access to several surrounding towns and attractions. I would stay here again for sure. The only thing I would say […] is that the next thing they need to replace is the beds. They were not bad but that is the only thing that I saw that needed improvement. Have stayed at darn near every other lodging establishment in Waynesville over the last three (3) years and after staying at the Waynesville Inn Golf Resort and Spa, I will now stay Nowhere else! Excellent location, Quiet, beautiful golf course (and I don't even Golf), excellent restaurant and then the Tap Room for nightly beverages, sports events, […] entertainment, etc. Rita (Registration) was outstanding to deal with upon my arrival and virtually everyone I met at The Waynesville Inn more than exceeded my expectations. I booked a deluxe double queen room after searching for pet friendly hotels and when I arrived was told the pets cannot go in those rooms. Nothing was stated regarding this restriction in the hotel details. They stuck us in a nasty "cabin" with 2 double beds and sharing a hot water heater with 2 other units. Needless to say we ran out of hot water. […] TV was size of a computer screen and not viewable from the beds. Won't ever stay here again! Baca selanjutnya

All I can say is I wish I had stayed a longer time. I was there for 1 night on my way to the ski resort and I loved the place... Breakfast was included in the price so that was another +.. If u looking for a five stars hotels keep looking but if u want a nice place to stay near the mountains you should stop at the Waynesville hotel..

Hotel is one of the better ones in Waynesville , not much of a selection. Breakfast buffet was not good the day we tried it. Everything was cold already at 7:30 am, omelette cook had a hard time making over medium eggs.

Given the limited choice of hotels in Waynesville, this is probably the best of the bunch. The staff is lovely, friendly and attentive. The servers at the very nice included hot breakfast buffet are outstanding. The rooms could possibly be considered quaint. It's a little like being closed into a cedar chest, with the knotty pine paneling on the walls […] and ceiling. The bathrooms are acceptable but nothing more. Limited hot water, and strange configuration for toilet/sink placement. Clean but very outdated. The beds were, without exception, the least comfortable I have ever slept on. The mattresses are years old, and probably were the cheapest available even when new. If they would update the beds, I would be so much happier about staying here. Even with the beds, it's still the "best" in town, but don't go expecting a luxurious room. Baca selanjutnya

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel, the restaurant is great, what we did not expect was the condition of our room.......1970's wants it back!! You could hear every foot step of the people in the room above us....and they were very early risers! Very disappointed. The rooms were nothing special! They were clean but the entire feel of this hotel is dated. The breafast buffet was certainly above average! I would stay again but only for the food!

I recently needed a place to stay near my parents' home in Waynesville, N.C. and found the Waynesville Inn Golf Resort at a special price on Hotels.com. The room was huge, very comfortable, and came with a full (omelets made to order, fruit, bacon etc.) breakfast. I had a small problem with my reservation due to a communication problem on the hotels.com […] site, but both Rita and Chris at the Waynesville Inn were very helpful in resolving the issue and getting my second night (which I didn't need due to a change in plans) refunded. I didn't use the spa or golfing facilities so have no comment on that, but I found the Inn to be a great place to stay and a good value as well. Will return. Baca selanjutnya

This Inn was very nice, beautiful setting in the mountains. Accomodations, were clean, comfortable,and attractive. The buffet breakfast was fantastic! Overall, an excellent bargain!!

This resort is actually really nice. The rooms are very modest, but clean. We enjoyed the views and location of the resort. A breakfast buffet was included which included an omelet station.. Yum! Also, a lively bar with decent bar food and a steak/seafood restaurant.

My wife and I spent 2 days at the Waynesville Inn in late October. The outside of the Inn is very nice-the restaurants were excellent-I didn't play golf but the course looks very nice. The room ,however, was small and dark. It had dark paneling on the walls and ceiling, a dark carpet and the room was very small. In addition, the water pressure in the […] shower was very poor. The Inn needs to renovate the rooms (at least the one we stayed in) and then it will be top notch. Waynesville is a quaint town with some very good restaurants. Baca selanjutnya

A proud land-mark in a beautiful smoky mountain setting. Relax, kick back, this is real nice.

The employees are all very helpful and the surroundings are beautiful. The older rooms could use some updating but the overall place is very lovely.

We chose the standard room when we made our reservation and were expecting a small, typical hotel room. But, the room was huge, with large windows, and was nicely appointed. The grounds are beautiful and the breakfast, which is included, was very good. They even have chef who creates made-to-order omelets. This place was great and it was more than I expected. The staff was very helpful and gave us direction to places to visit while we on our Honeymoon. The room we had was great and had that rustic look you expect when you go to the mountains. If you are looking for a Hilton style room you might not like it. Picked the hotel as it was the only 3-star hotel in the area. If I was a golfer I'd be in heaven...but I'm not. The staff were pleasant and very helpful and though it was a bit out of the way and a bit spread out it was a nice stay.

The hotel was great, a little dated, but the beds were comfortable and clean. They provided a mini fridge on request. Pool was wonderful except the biting bugs constantly! Even tried bug spray and it didn't help. No one really at the pool. Had 2 restaurants on-site. "The Tap Room" was very popular and YUMMY! Even vegetarian options! The 2nd restaurant […] was more fancy and pricey, passed on that one. Will definitely stay here again! Only a 10 minute drive to Lake Junaluska where campmeeting was held. Baca selanjutnya

If you book an economy room, expect to stay in the oldest section of the complex, Fairview: despite what request you make with hotel.com.

We chose to stay here for a ski weekend in Cataloochee, and we chose this hotel because it based on the pictures looked like a nice place. However the hotel had a motel feel to it and was not as clean and elegant as we had hoped for.

Although off the beaten path a bit, this place is more than worth the effort to find. Its quiet, has a good restraunt and absolutely spectacular views. The only problem I had was that the room was a bit cold, but since it was one of the coldest nights the mountains have seen for quite a while, this was understandable.

Room was dated. New ones in other areas. Need to update the Fairway Rooms. Golf course not in the best of shape, but with the hot humid summer, that was to be expected.

I was dissapointed at the appearance of the room. It was not at all what I expected to see at a Country Club. The room was spacious but the decor was old....not quaint old or antique....just outdated and old.....and dark. The fan in the bathroom made this terrible noise and seemed to be dying!! We stayed here while attending a triathlon festival nearby and the whole area is absolutely beautiful! The grounds of the hotel are amazing and the hotel itself is nice enough and has a lot of character. You have to keep in mind that it is older and not expect lots of modern high end amenities but it also doesn't cost nearly as much as a similar place […] would up north. We had one of the smaller rooms but it was sufficient for 2 people. The bed was comfy, we had a nice balcony (which oddly was right over the restaurant), the bathroom was again smallish but sufficient and nice enough. The only drawback might be lack of bathtub and fridge- if that matters to you- it didn't to us. Certainly nicer than the average hotel chains, but not quite as fancy as many "resort/spa" type places. I think the price range is appropriate and if you like golf you'd probably love it here. Baca selanjutnya
