Tanjung Bungah Beach Hotel - Pulau Pinang

It is an old hotel i should say as the furniture is so 80s-woody-style and out-dated, however, it just fine with me and family as the room is big enough for 4 of us. The lighting is so romantic but my family and i guess it's not suitable for family stay. If they provide more bright lights it would be nice. A great place to relax and unwind. Slightly away from the city buzz but walking distance to the shopping ctr. A room facing the sea is truly fantastic not to mention you can have breakfast facing the sea. Its truly breath-taking and so relaxing.

The ground floor and lobby areas is excellent, restaurant and food great, as are SOME of the staff. Nice beach outside, not a bad location though Batu Ferringhi a few mins up the road would suit most people better. WARNING: The rooms were awful. They, and the furniture within, looked worn, grimy and were in bad need of updating and painting. The bathroom […] was moldy and had seen better days decades ago. It was an odd combination of decent lobby, restaurant poolside and beach area to everything above the first floor falling apart. I would not use this place again... I stayed there before. Nowadays the service at reception is very slow and the breakfast not much of choice compare with previous i stay in this hotel.

great staff.....very helpful. Amazing setting right on the beach. room was a bit worn but good value for the money. loved the pool overlooking the beach. Will stay here again!!

Pros:Clean room. Good location. Hotel has private beach. Breakfast is good. Very good value for the money. Less than 10 minutres drive to Gurney Drive (the happening place). Cons: Furnitures need to be replaced. Some interior designing to upgrade the look/feel of the room need and this definately going to boost the rating. We stayed in the room that […] face the hill and checked in on Saturday. We couldn't sleep until 3pm because there were too many motorbikes passby and sound was very loud coz it is very close to the main road. Though the hotel is strategically located, but noice from motorbikes were very disturbing. Perhaps need to seal proof the glass windows. The hotel is conveniently located.. Air-con in the room lacks coolness for comfort stay. The rooms are reasonably cheap, but that does not mean to cut down on personal basic ammenities usage. Breakfast spread needs improvment. Overrall the rooms needs upgrading for a more comfortable stay.

I through found a good deals online,but finally it was a disappointed place i ever stay at Penang

Hotel has a nice beach, but dirty sea. There is notice to beware of jellyfish and exerside cauton while swimming in the see. I saw few dead jellyfishes on the beach. After all there was no great desire to swim in the sea.

Overall stay was a very good experience. Could have been better if the management refurbish all of the rooms. The furniture are old.

The hotel view is nice but the service was out of my expectation " bad". I call for extra bed at 630pm but its arrived at 1130pm after few calls to reception and maintenance.

This is a return visit since last year. They still have not renovated the rooms. Rooms are threadbare and carpet shows years of use and dirt. Formica and furniture stripping off, TV is archaic, pool is very used and murky. Breakfast has degraded. Sheets and toilet are clean and changed, but that's about it. I will be changing hotels for my next visit […] despite the convenience, until they do something about their rooms. They've upped their prices but have done nothing to the rooms. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Tanjung Bungah Beach hotel in November this year. The beach setting of the hotel is stunning, the photos do not do it justice. The rooms were very clean and pretty large; in general everything was very good value for money. We ate at the restaurant one night for dinner, good food and beautiful outdoor terrace area […] over looking the beach. There's a great pool which seemed empty most of the day. For restaurants and bars we found Batu Ferringhi preferable, but it's only a short bus ride away so no problem. I made use of the fitness centre and table tennis- all for free! The only negatives were the beach bar being closed (apparently it is never open despite it being advertised) and wi-fi being chargeable. the customer service had been bad...firstly i had called to the hotel customer service, the staff was rude, i was inquiring some question, but he was just unprofessional, he requested me 2 call back the 2nd time in 30 minutes to transfer me to the other department for further inquiry, during the 2nd time, as i re-introduce my problem, he just put me […] off to the other line without saying anything...what say my viewer?rude ?anyway, that was the negative side, however i would recommend this hotel to my viewer, as my stay there was nice apart from the staff's customer service, the beach is nice, clean, breakfast was satisfying and it was lies between batu ferringhi and gurney plaza, good spot...3/5 star Baca selanjutnya

This hotel is cozy, quite and clean. I felt very relax and wish to have more day to stay. The hotel is just right infront of the white sand beach. The location is near to Penang most popular Gurney Drive and if you have the extra time, you can take a slow walk there. This is a value-for-money stay beach hotel.

We go in group with 3 kids. The hotel is very convinient because it has its own beach, so we especially for traveller with kids no need to walk far or crossing busy road to go to beach.

It took a long while to check in and room condition was bad and old. I couldnt sleep at all at night due to noise from next room and filthy bed that made me itch in the bed. I want to recommend you should not stay this hotel if you want to take a rest. I booked this hotel for 2 night but I checked out ahead of schedule. It was that bad.

Hotellissa oli vaikea nukkua käytävästä ja naapurista kuuluvan metelin takia. Erittäin ohuet ovet. Ranta oli pieni ja hotellin vierestä menevä 4-kaistainen tie latisti tunnelmaa. Aamiainen oli hyvä, samoin muu palvelu. Hotellin kajakilla sai meloa ilmaiseksi noin tunnin päivässä. Pingispöytä oli kiva, uima-allas kohtalainen.
