Never again. Thro dank smell of our room when we opend the door was overwelming. WE had to leave it open a while to clear out the place. Apparently, their original windows frost up overnight on the inside and leave the rooms smelling damp and mildewy. The beds were the worst I've ever experienced and we go to hotels a few times a year. The springs were […] so shot it was like jumping on a trampoline, I mean when you sat down you actually bounced up! When I tried to sit in the only upholstered chair in the room it sank down so low I knew it would hurt my back so I gave up and bounced on the bed trying to watch a little tv at the end of the night. Truly expected more for the price. And the 3 flights of steps to get to the second floor was another fun experience. I am 60, so I know my aged knees were the problem, however..... Would not recommend this place and will never stay there again when we go to Lancaster for a get away! Will say however, the restaurant attached was excellant for food and service. Baca selanjutnya

Very disappointed with the showers...cold water one morning, hot and cold one morning. Had to keep adjusting.Desk manager not very friendly. Not sure I would stay there again.

Close to Sight & Sound Theatre, Cordial staff- Leeann, clean ROOMY king bed suite, comfy mattress, internet access. Only compliant is it was a RAINY night and you had to go into the elements to leave the room to go the lobby or next door restaurant. Fireside Tavern next door...provides delicious and a reasonably priced dinner menu.The tomato bisque […] soup is 5 STAR!!!! Nic, the evening manager was accommodating and offered thoughtful customer service. Highly recommend you eat there or order to the hotel (as I did). Hotel provides a full hot and cold breakfast buffet from 7am-10am. It was a good start for the long drive back home! Baca selanjutnya

need to have room darkening shades on the windows. The outside light shone in the window all night. TV was plugged into switched outlet so that when the light was shut off, so was the TV. Duh!

Staff was very pleasant and accomdating. On Friday morning, we were allowed to get our breakfast before the breakfast room opened for the day. Being diabetic, they made sure I had somethng to eat before I met the bus. I really appreciated their cooperation.

Did not realize there was no elevator to second floor...we had to haul bags up. If there was an elevator it wasn't indicated to us! Also, front desk staff could have been a little friendlier.

Room was real clean, staff was friendly, breakfast had a little of everything to eat. Only down fall was the heater was noisy. Would stay again!

Too many things to name; disappointed. Would have left after first night but area hotels were booked. Stay somewhere else.

We went back in time. The stay was great. The cows across the field was a peaceful sight. Clean space, lots of space to strectch out and the old country feel was a pleasant surprise. Our family needed the time away from the busy city. Our only concern was that there was no microwave and telephone in the room. I guess they wanted to keep the "historic […] theme; get away from everything and relax." Well, we had two kids under 3 and they had to eat cold cereal. Nevertheless, we had a great time and will plan on returning in the future but secure a room with a phone and microwave. Baca selanjutnya

Nice place to stay with grandchildren when visiting nearby theater. Granddaughter loved the breakfast buffet.

Hotel stay was great. The deluxe continental breakfast was more like a full breakfast. The surroundings are lovely and peaceful and quite close to shopping, entertainment and PA Dutch attractions. Dinner at the restaurant (prime rib) was excellent! I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Stayed here for a girl's outing to see the play nearby at the Sight and Sound Theater. Hotel was very comfortable and very conveniently located to the play. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The Clarion is neat, clean, affordable and in an excellent location. The setting is quiet with a beautiful countryside view. Located in the heart of the Pennsylvania Amish country, about five minutes from the Millennium (Sight and Sound) Theater, the Strasburg Railroad, and Pennsylvania Railroad Museum, one could not ask for a better location from which […] to enjoy these as well as many other area attractions. Great place to get a good night's sleep before running in the Bird-In-Hand Marathon. The hotel was especially pet friendly as well.

I thought it was overpriced for the overall condition of the place. It was a quaint place to stay but the breakfast service area was way too small. We enjoyed our time in Lancaster & would return, just not sure we would stay here.

very enjoyable room was large, clean and comfortable breakfast was in a really nice setting large tables, lots of them and your choice of indoor or outdoor seating hotel grounds were lovely, nice pool- well maintained would stay again in a heartbeat playground for children

Nice, classic hotel off the main roads. Quiet, private rooms in a hotel spread across several acres. Central to most attractions and easy to find. Comfortable room with scenic view over the grounds. Would recommend to anyone, and will stay there again.

My family (husband & 2 children 12 &9) stayed two nights at this Hotel. It was a good price & well worth the couple of extra bucks. It's location was far enough from the main street (only 5 minutes) that we felt it very peaceful while close enough that no one said "are we there yet". Staff was VERY friendly & accomidating. Everything was very clean […] (moms love that) and the pool hours were from 9 to 9 PERFECT! Resturant next door was good if you didn't feel like driving. Lobby had coffee 24/7 & cozy enough to hang out. Great chess/checker board! VERY quaint place would deffinatly stay here again. The only drawback was it needed a little TLC. A little spackle where the old towel bar and picture was would be nice. The breakfast was OK (heck it was free). Kids really liked making their own waffles (2 flavors !) so we just filled up on that. The room was fairly comfortable, but not cleaned all that well (especially the bathroom - the previous guests used towels were still in there and the tub was really dirty). There were holes in the walls in several places. Although it states in the information about the pool that there was towel service, there were no towels available. The breakfast […] was not great - watery overdone eggs and ham. The waffles smelled good, but there were so many people lined up to make theirs so I skipped them. The hotel seems to be a historic inn. I was interested in the location because I went to the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum and the Strasburg Steam Railroad nearby.

i WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN. RENTED TWO ROOMS. DID NOT PUT THEM NEAR EACH OTHER. ONE ROOM BATHROOM WASN'T CLEAN. THE OTHER ROOM MAIN DOOR HAD PROBLEMS WITH OPENING AND SHUTING. WE WERE NOT THE ONLY ONES WITH DOOR ISSUES.

Very convenient to Lancaster and other attractions. Large rooms. Continental breakfast was more than adequate. Nice view of surrounding countryside from breakfast patio.

We enjoyed our room, the wireless internet, coffee maker and microwave amenities along with the pool, sauna and exercise room. Just very centric, near many attractions in the area, our favorite one being the Sight and Sound Theatre and Dutch Wonderland.

Arrived Thursday evening. no hot water for shower Thursday evening, Friday (took cold showers that day) or Saturday (hotel had us shower in another room). Hotel claimed water issue was due to a power outage that occurred on Friday.

Love the location and quietness of going off season. The breakfast offered is great and ladies do a great job of keeping it clean. Good improvements sense our last visit. Staff very helpful. Will go again.

There was no one at the desk in the evening when I needed to. Inquire about something. The hotel was rather antiquated. There was a layer of dust on the top of the snack machine which was very obvious when coming down the stairs.the springs in the bed were a bit broken down and not real comfortable. The room was very spacious, and the floor plan was good. This hotel is unlike your average new chain hotel, but that's part of its charm. Our room, 208, seems to have been redone recently, in a rather odd color palette, and had a few imperfections like painted over wallpaper that was separating from the walls, but it was very clean. The outside areas […] seem to be undergoing some refurbishment as well. We saw new railings in several sections of the balconies. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were thoughtfully selected: both down and synthetic. The breakfast was just barely OK, and we skipped it on our second morning.
