We stayed the weekend of Jan 27, 28, 2012. The location is about 15 miles east of Groveland, headed towards Yosemite. A beautiful and slightly remote area. This is the off season and renovations are in progress at the hotel. No mention was made of this on their website. The owners/contractor is/was not doing a good job of keeping the grounds clear of […] debris. The room was clean and the bed was fine. But the room had that smell of not being open or used in quite awhile. Our room also needed updating. Lastly their towels were rough, thin and old. On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 2+. This was a disaster from the start. The "office" was being remodeled and no one was to be seen There was a note on the door asking that I knock loudly when I arrived. I did so and waited for fifteen minutes. Finally, by coincidence someone came out and provided me a key to my room. While the room was clean, there are not any nightstands next to the […] beds and the cable service was spotty at best (okay, so TV should not be a high priority when visting Yosemite, but if it is offered, it should at least be adequate). Later, due to the room not containing a phone and a complete lack of a cell signal ( I recognize this is not the inn's fault), I walked out on the porch and found a phone in a wall box for common use. The instructions stated that if I didn't have a phone card, I could purchase one from the office. After knocking loudly for over twenty minutes at the "office" door, I recdeived no response. I had to get in my car and drive ten minutes just to find a cell signal strong enough to place a call. Considering what I paid for these accomodations, this was the worst hotel experience pf my life - I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. Baca selanjutnya

The Yosemite Riverside Hotel looks very run down and the furnishings are very tired. It is also a site for motorhomes. The manager was not very helpful. Breakfast was not included at the beginning of October as 'it was out of season!'

Nice location. Close to Yosemite. not expensive. Old hotel in ok condition. Cheap towels, soap, coffee etc. Not sure if I would go back. Groveland is farther away, but has more to offer. No food available at hotel. Not good for me.

It is a OK hotel to crush for one night, but it is about 40 minutes drive from the Yosemite valley.

This was a good location after having travelled through the park on the Tioga Pass Road and with our plans to tour the valley the next day. It was late in the season, so no breakfast service. Closest restaurant is 3 miles. Room was clean but don't expect much in amenities.

We stayed at this motel only for 1 night on our way from SFO to Yosemite. We arrived late in the evening coming from SFO and as we had the GPS with us there was no problem in finding the motel even at complete darkness :-) (might be better to arrive at day-time without GPS). Check in was ok, room was nice and clean, beds were comfortable - all what […] you need. Breakfast was good and staff was really nice and helpful. Aside from our gps not being able to get us to the Inn, our stay was exactly what we were looking for. It is about 15 minutes from the park entrance and Buck's Meadow is 3 miles west for late night dining (open until 9pm). Very reasonable price. Extras could be added at an expense like internet access. Appreciated not having been charged right off the top but would have been more convenient if we were aware it could have been added for an additional expense.

Not fancy, but comfortable. Very convenient to entrance to Yosemite along 120. Trust GPS directions - we thought we had passed it. Hotel is secluded outside of Groveland.

The Riverside Inn lies a bit outside of the yosemite national park (about a half hour drive). It may be a bit hard to reach*, but its located in a very nice place and offers you a beautifully calm place to rest. The hotel is operated by a nice family and I had the pleasure to enjoy their friendly place for the second time already. * some GPS devices […] may incorrectly locate the address on the 'far end' of a dirt road. This place has a reasonably good location - it is by the river (though the river is kinda overgrown with weeds in places - it is still accessible via a small beach, which is nice), and its not too far from Yosemite itself... well, an hour away isnt too bad. The nearest resturaunt is a diner about 15 minutes drive away - the diner itself is okay, the […] food is reasonable & not too pricey. We actually quite enjoyed the diner to be honest. On the upside - the hotel seems very family friendly. Good access to the river (as I mentioned) and a great children's play area that is fully fenced. It seems very safe for children and very well set up for them. BUT... the condition of the hotel itself is where we were really disappointed. They have about half a dozen buildings on the property - a few smaller 'riverside cabins' near the river (they are the ones in the photo), a large two-storey building also alongside the river (which looks a bit newer & is perhaps a bit nicer), the office and also the building we stayed in - a row of about four or five rooms with a verandah our the front. This set of rooms was (to be brutal) absolutely horrible. The floors were totally up and down, the only opening window was out the front, and the original air conditioning unit had died so they had shoved a small window unit into the bathroom - hence, no air flow & a musty-smelling room. When I lay down on the bed the coverlet was gritty underneath me too. The bathroom itself was reasonable - largish shower with a new vanity unit installed (though it was not installed properly with the overflow hole pouring out directly onto the floor of the bathroom! - no good if you plan to do handwashing whilst there). The verandah out the front is VERY noisy - we had motorcross riders staying whilst we were there and they were up at 6am pacing back & forth in front of our room continually waking us up... it also didnt help that they went for a 'practice' ride at about 6:30am... just as we were falling asleep Baca selanjutnya

Rustic inn off the road going into Yosemite National Park. Rustic, but very comfortable. Was a little concerned about the cleanliness of the shower and the bathroom was in need of repairs. Definitely not sound proof.

We decided to go to Yosemite the week before so there wasn't a lot of selection, either really expensive lodges in the park or motels 90 minutes away. We chose the Yosemite Riverside Inn despite the reviews because it was the closest and the setting was appealing. Pros: beautiful setting in the woods along the middle fork of the Tuolumne River; 15 […] minutes from the park entrance and 45 minutes from the valley; nice barbecue and picnic area along river outside room.. Cons: really bad housekeeping staff; 5 drawer chest of drawers had only one drawer operable; tiny room; hard bed; the nice picnic area was a party until well after 11 each night; continental breakfast didn't begin until 7:30 am which meant if you wanted to beat the crowds into the park you missed it. This one is a great experience with beautiful trees and a nice water flowing on the side of the hotel. But the only thing i dont like is the enterance.There should a big board with the hotel Name and Number on it and that will be a great help to all. Based on other reviews, I was worried about this booking, but we found the Riverside Inn to be clean, pleasant, and near the Yosemite boundary. The bathroom looked newly tiled, which goes a long way to making a room feel decent. The continental breakfast was sufficient. We didn't request any extra amenities, so I can't comment on anything beyond a basic […] room. We spent 3 nights at this motel which is really close to the park entrance. The grounds are nice. However, the rooms were not so nice, pretty dated furniture, spider webs in corners and some left over garbage from earlier visitors. I also dislike that all breakfast plates etc. are disposable. The internet connection is a disaster and the manager's attitude […] regarding this matter is too. If you need phone coverage or internet, expect trouble. Due to my last minute decision to visit Yosemite, I was not able to find any hotels within the park. This hotel is about 30+ miles from the park. The hotel was very neat and clean..nothing fancey but comfortable and affordable. I loved the stream along side of the hotel. The owners were quite friendly. This hotel is about 10 miles from the northern (Hwy 120) entrance to Yosemite National Park. However, it takes another 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic, to reach Yosemite Valley after you enter the park, so it's really 40-90 miles from any park amenities or information. The hotel staff were very friendly and the breakfast room is nice. However, […] several things in our room needed attention: one bedside lamp didn't work, the ceiling fan didn't work, and the curtain rod was about to fall off of the wall. I filled out a maintenance request form that was in the room, and they repaired the lamp and ceiling fan, but not the curtain rod. The bathroom shower was very small and the towels were low quality. My biggest beef, however, occcured when I accidentally spilled water on the bed and the cleaning service did not replace the sheets; they simply re-made the bed, so I returned to a damp bed after a day of hard hiking in Yosemite. Thus, I did not tip the maid. Also, despite the address, this hotel is NOT in Groveland; it is 15 miles east of Groveland. There's a greasy spoon restaurant 3.5 miles from the hotel that's open until 10 p.m., or other mediocre eating establishments back in Groveland that close before 9 p.m. Overall this hotel worked out OK because I booked two rooms about two months before visiting Yosemite in the busy season, and the setting of the hotel was very nice. If you don't mind lots of driving to hike in the park and mediocre food, plus chintzy amenities but friendly hotel staff, you can probably deal with staying at this hotel. Baca selanjutnya

My husband and I stayed in a cabin near the river. It was very relaxing, and enjoyable. We would recommend this establishment to anyone.

Other reviews are pretty accurate. Booked two weeks prior to holiday week. Everything else near Yosemite is booked much further in advance. This is an independently owned motel in a rural area. It's very convenient to Yosemite. It's what you'd expect from an independently owned and operated motel. It's a step up from camping but a step below motel […] 6. No it's not cheap compared to what you'd find in a metropolitan area but hotels are scarce near Yosemite so you are paying for the location. The rooms are not the most luxurious however the setting is wonderful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I was told by Hotel.com when I made the reservation that the hotel was right in the park, but it was 10 miles away from the park entrance and 34 miles away from the Yosemite Valley. The hotel is not bad for the price, but I would rather pay a little more to live right in the park if I visit the park next time.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Great location next to the creek. But the rooms are the smallest you can get to see. Step out the bed, you will hit the wall. No space to put your bags or luggage. No towels or towel racks in the bathroom. There was ONLY ONE Towel for the room. The showers were so low that won't even wet your shoulders. We booked […] a room for two adults and 1 kid and we took our bags back to the car due to lack of space. I would prefer to stay in a heated tent inside the park rather than driving this far outside the park to stay in this place. Great for crashing a night, but not if u want to sleep comfortably. this place was in a beautiful setting in the woods with a river running right behind the inn. But it was a bit rundown and it was very noisy, as far as the neighboring rooms you could hear everything through the walls. It was ok for 1 night stay, I wouldn't recommend any longer. Also, breakfast is only a cold one and they don't serve it until 8.

Situated a few miles outside Yosemite but still in the same lovely landscape and right next to the river. Room was a bit dated but clean and convienient with fridge microwave, hairdryer and coffe maker. Self service breakfast included in room price.

Motel rustique qui va bien dans le cadre du parc. Malheureusement pas de quoi manger pendant la saison creuse. Prendre des provisions pour le déjeuner avec.

Die Lage ist traumhaft. Es ist ca. 45 Min. vom Yosemite Nationalpark entfernt und gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Das naechste Restaurant ist ca. 3 km entfernt. Alle waren sehr freundlich und haben den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht. Jederzeit wieder.

Notre chambre etait un peu viellot mais propre. Attention, si vous utiliser un GPS pour parvenir a l'hotel, veuillez faire la recherche sans le nr de l'hotel car le GPS vous guide bcp trop loin dans le parc. Nous avons fait un detour de plus de deux heures en plein milieux de la nuit!!!!! très beau site mais a 20 kilomètres de groveland... hôtel malheureusement pas entretenu...araignées dans la chambre ,toiles au plafond .frigo commun a l extérieur de la chambre dans un état de crasse plus qu avancé ...denrées moisies, boissons renversées. Als alles in Yosemite National Park volzet is, is dit goed alternatief. Je betaalt wel vooral voor de locatie, niet voor de luxe. Ga met het idee van "Ik wil me terugtrekken in de natuur." maar dan in een (soort van) hotel ipv een tent. Het zijn verschillende houten bungalow-achtige gebouwen die verdeeld zijn in een aantal hotelkamers en ligt redelijk […] afgelegen, dus je hebt wel een beetje het "teruggetrokken in de natuur" gevoel. 名前で予約してしまいましたが、なんとＣａｍｐ場ではありませんか！？というような感じのＭｏｔｅｌでそれで14000円はどうなのかと思います。その半額以下でいい感じです。チェックアウト時の受付の女性はよかったですけど、 チェックインの時の男性はちょっと怖かったです。
