The hotel was decent, and pretty well located if you want a place outside the city centre; it's a 3 minute walk from the schipol airport/train station so getting places is pretty easy. Not much in the surrounding area though. The room itself was very compactly designed, with a large comfortable bed on end of the rectangular room, and the shower/toilet/sink/safe […] stuff in the rest of the space. The remote control to operate lights/curtains/TV was pretty glitch and kind of annoying but otherwise nothing to complain about. Baca selanjutnya

We ended a transatlantic cruise in Copenhagen and flew to Amsterdam before heading back to the states. We were very surprised with the concept of the hotel rooms. The entire staff was very friendly and went out of their way to assist us with check-in and check-out.

Located mere steps outside Schiphol airport exit 4, the Amsterdam CitizenM is a hotel clearly dedicated to creating an experience that promotes sleeping. The rooms seem to be well insulated as we heard no sounds from the outside, the floor above, or the rooms on either side. The mattress was very comfortable, the bed linen was hypo-allergenic, the automated […] blinds are well designed, so the overall experience was very restful. The spotlessly clean room, although small and spare, contained everything necessary for our overnight between connections. In spite of warnings, we didn’t have much of a problem finding space for our two 26” rolling bags, 18” rolling bag, and big carry-on back pack – but we never meant to unpack – just sleep. Some folks might be a little shocked with the utilitarian nature of the toilet and shower, but we just imagined entering a Star Trek transporter and enjoyed the experience. The electrical outlets were European (2 round prongs) and conveniently located. We didn’t have time to take advantage of the coffee bar, café, and lounges but they were attractive and well-staffed. I stayed twice, either end of a 10 day trip. Overall its convenient and comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing, recommend you avoid it, much nicer and better value to be had in the terminal.

Having the coach at check-in was very helpful, as this was my first experience with this type of hotel.

This was my second stay in the past seven months. This is just a perfect airport hotel. Staff were pleasant and effecient (assisted by the simplified check0in systems). All the services I need, and nothing extraneous. The rooms are super-comfortable and I love the capsule showers. The beer is cold, the espresso properly pulled, and the prices are reasonable. […] It's also as easy to buy a piece of fruit as a tub of Ben & Jerry's. Modern hotel with interesting but small rooms right at the AMS airport, only a 5 minute walk from the terminal. Access to the airport and the train station with frequent trains to central Amsterdam made this hotel a great choice for an overnight layover in AMS. Very unique hotel room, small but very creatively built. Very good for transit passenger as the hotel is situated near the airport.

Overall, I was satisfied. The breakfast is pricey for not very much. I have had similar breakfasts only at one and two star hotels and was disappointed with this aspect. I would definitely advise against including the breakfast in the room price and go to the airport cafe for something better instead. Likewise, the "restaurant" advertised is scarcely […] better than fast food with a VERY limited selection. plan to go elsewhere for meals. 2 minutes walking from the airport, train from the airport to the Amsterdam central station takes 15 minutes, so from this hotel you can reach Amsterdam center super fast.

Very comfortable hotel with a professional staff. Very convenient location, as the hotel is only a 5 min. walk from Schipol. As soon as I entered the hotel lobby I was greeted and had great assistance from Alex and all of the wonderful staff. Very unique room, and very good food offered in the bar area.

Great hotel, Staff very friendly and helpful, close to airport so no need to wait for transfer buses. Didn't eat in restaurant so can't comment on it. Would recommend this hotel to anyone for an overnight stay.

If you need to be at the airport to continue travel and plan to visit Amsterdam for a short time period then this is a good place to stay. Convenient to city train and easy walk from airport street exit. Very art deco place with friendly staff. Be aware the room design is very small and simple and there is barely enough space to move enough.

I pass through AMS 8-10 times a year, and typically like to go into the city center to stay (largely for meals and ambiance). CitizenM offers a nice alternative if one does't have time or want to struggle with carting bags on the train and trams. The somewhat funky modular/modern rooms are clean and fitted out with all the basics, offering a nest-like retreat that is well-balanced by the open 'living quarters' and bar/dinning area on entry level. The rooms are not large and it has a very interesting, trendy setup with the shower and toilet in the room with cylinders for privacy. A very convenient place to stay for an early flight, just a short walk from the airport terminal.

Very convenient and less expensive than the Hilton and Sheraton. Rooms are tight, but bed is spacious and comfortable. For a place to sleep at the Airport, it's the best.

The Hotel is fine for a single person old or young BUT not as a couple ,the person on one side of the bed cant get out without getting over the other person,SHAME... Mike

modern looking, amazing concept, i was amazed in every way with the CitizenM hotel. Not perfect score for 2 reasons (inappropriate staff comments on my check in, no gym, facilities (i used the staircase!)). But overall, loved the room, loved the concept, would recommend for sure.

My wife really enjoyed the Hotel. I was not pleased about a $2.50 charge to use my credit card for payment. Other than that I thought the Hotel was fun. Room is cramped but new design elements were interesting. Can definitely recommend other than the "welcome to our hotel $2.50 charge. Explanation was that all Hotels in Europe charge for credit card […] useage. Not true in our case. We stayed at 10 Hotels this was the only Hotel to charge for using a credit card. Baca selanjutnya

Great location only two minutes walk to Schipol and all under a covered lighted walkway. My wife and I have stayed in Amsterdam before and always stayed in the city center the night before we left so we could enjoy ourselves, but it was always a bit stressful having to wake up extra early to catch a train from Amsterdam Centraal to Schipol. With the […] hotel being so close to the Schipol station it was much easier to catch a train into the center and back at night then it was to have to deal with the rush hour crouds in the morning while trying to catch a flight. The rooms are also really cool and ultra modern. Its quite cozy and a bit intimate, maybe not the best room to have to share with a co-worker but for a couple the room was awesome, small but well designed and a fun experience!
