Phoenix Park Hotel - Dublin

I stayed at this hotel this past weekend for one night and did not experience the "high standards" they claim to on their website. Most of the hotel seemed to be newly decorated as we walked down the corridor to get to room #15. At the end of the corridor, we went through a door as if we were entering an adjacent building, which looked like it hadn't […] been touched in decades. We found ourselves on a seperate landing which had a pungent musty smell and filthy carpet. I had reserved a twin room and the room we got was only just big enough to fit two single beds, no room for bedside lockers, no lamps, no wardrobes. In the bathroom, the showerhead was in pieces and was just hanging together, filthy grouting both inside the shower unit itself and also all around the outside, there was a broken toilet seat and filthy bathroom mirror. No shampoo, shower gel, towels, phone, hairdryer etc(essentials that you would expect from a hotel that has 3* on their door). Although they did provide tea/coffee making facitilies, the cups provided didn't entice me to drink from them. The whole place just made me want to leave.In my opinion, as the hotel was booked out on the night in question, the room we were given was an overflow room. But I feel that this should have been advised to us before we checked in. We couldn't find a staff member to complain to. When we returned from our event that evening, we couldnt find any staff and no one could be found when we checked out. Never Again! Baca selanjutnya
