Hotel was a great disappointment.
Checking in experience was poor.Male receptionist was rude and gave us a room facing a noisy mosque when I requested for a quiet room.The room was next to another room with noisy children and it was not clean too.I had to go down to request for a change of room,after I checked that room given was filthy too.Place was too crowded and dirty.Breakfast was overly crowded.Service was poor.I would never choose this place ever again,althoigh the location along Batu Ferringhi was good.

The overall impression was good and the room was nice and had a big bed. Value for money was however not great. We had booked an executive room with sea view and king size bed but the two beds in the room first had to be combined by staff which took some time. The resulting bed was huge and comfortable. It took two attempts to ensure the breakfast which we had selected and paid for appeared correctly in the hotel system. The room had a partially damaged bathroom door, minor damage to the bathtub and it was impossible preventing water from going on the floor while showering. The drain also smelled sometimes. Cleanliness was not very high as there were some small spots from prior guests. A bathroom toiletry with broken seal from prior guests was also present at arrival. We didn’t receive hand towels after the first day out of three nights but received a spare bath towel. At arrival the baggage handler seemed to handle bags in a rough way but there was a system to keep them safe. The bathroom by the pool was not very nice. The pools were very nice and there is an adult section to prevent swimmers being affected by splashing children. The beach is nice but not private. The local area is ok but not very welcoming for a longer walk or shopping. There is a taxi station immediately opposite the hotel which is convenient. The hotel has some boutiques for shopping and a convenience store. There was also entertainment and seasonally themed dinners/brunch for Christmas.

Excellent older hotel with stunning views
I had a lovely stay at this hotel! After reading some of the reviews, I was uncertain of what to expect for the condition and service. Everything was great! I am new to more luxury hotels and I was totally satisfied. While the place is a little run down, it is an older hotel after all. Everything worked well in my room and I had a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff were friendly and quick to answer questions. The laundry service was great - everything in this hotel smells so nice! The other minor worry I had was travelling solo at a hotel mostly geared to families. I mostly stuck to the beach and my own balcony, which were the draw for me anyway. I would go back for sure!
